As a kid, did Bowie ever want a younger sibling?

Bowie never really thought much about being an only sibling when he was child. While his mother was finishing up school so that she could provide for him, Bowie was largely from a newborn to 6 raised by his grandparents. Around 6 or 7 is when he started to make friends and hang out with kids his own age through school and boy scouts and such. So in his childhood, Bowie never really quite felt any loneliness.

As a teen, once he moved to Portland and his mom started working a lot, he started to get lonely. He hated it as a teen, and that's part of why he started working at 15 years old. But he didn't really ruminate on any thoughts of the idea of having a sibling for very long. He's pretty chill with having been raised as an only child.

Bowie likes vacuuming/dusting. Putting on a pair of noise cancelling headphones and just going at it? It's almost meditative for him. His apartment is quite clean as he does it every two weeks.

Bowie's not even sure he has a favourite color. He tends to gravitate towards deeper tones but he still wouldn't consider any of them his favourite. He doesn't need to own everything in one particular color or not. He doesn't particularly care that much.

He doesn't do it all the time, sometimes his schedule gets so busy it will get away from him, and thankfully in those times he's not a particularly hairy person to begin with but he does wax.

Bowie really likes earthy and woodsy scents for himself. He's very fond of anything citrus-y as well.

in a relationship, are they the ones stealing their partners' clothes or the ones having their clothes stolen?

Depends on the relationship. If he's with a girl it's more likely that Bowie's clothes will be stolen. But when he was with his boyfriend Zachary they typically wore the same size (Zachary liked a baggier fit which lined up on being the perfect size for Bowie).

what’s your problem?

you're too nice

that's not a bad thing, not by far. you're wonderful to be around and no one hates you. but it feels like they do. maybe it's imposter's syndrome. maybe it's simply fear. no one hates you but you need everyone to like you. you need to feel validated and so you go out of your way, so far out of your way that you shove yourself to the side of your own story. remember, you are your main character. you need just as much attention as the rest of us. you're human, and it is okay to want, to ask without being expected to return every time. you don't need to compensate for your friendships. i know it's hard to believe, so many people have used you like a stepping stone that a path is beginning to form over your body. you can't let them do it, though. change is hard but you need to find people that will care for you without expecting payment. those people, your people, are right around the corner. they're waiting to listen, to talk, to greet you with their arms open and their smiles wide. accept them. you're worth it. you are worth the love and the friendship and the happiness that is waiting for you. take that step. stand up for yourself. you're strong, i know you can do it.

1. what does your muse smell like ?

Earthy. Bowie uses a lot of natural-based sort of bathing products and he tends to be fairly on top of his personal hygiene (not to say he doesn’t have lazy days where he skips the shower he definitely does). He loves going on hiking trails in the Oregon Woods, and spending his free time in nature when he can, he probably likes to find products that remind him of nature while he’s stuck in the city. So probably something earthy like this mixed with maybe a little bit of sweat depending on the day he’s having.  

2. what do your muse’s hands feel like?

Bowie has done a lot with his hands over the years. He plays guitar, he writes music, he’s decently handy around both the house and the garage. Not to mention the fights he definitely used to get into in his teenager years. His hands are a little rough, enough that you could probably guess he’s done a few days of hard labor at least, you can definitely pick out that he’s a musician if you feel his finger tips. 

3. what does your muse usually eat in a day ?

Bowie’s diet is quite balanced. He loves his junk food, but he also likes feeling good especially about what he puts in his body. He’s really fond of plant based dishes, but he doesn’t love them enough to fully cut out meat entirely, fish is okay but he’d prefer to have something else, and he has a mild shellfish allergy. 

4. does your muse have a good singing voice ? Yes. Yes he does. 

5. does your muse have any bad habits or nervous ticks ? Bad habits? Bowie has somewhat of a short temper, he’s been in therapy for since his mid-teens but every now and then it still gets the better of him. When Bowie is nervous, really anxious, he will shake and tremble uncontrollably. He’ll tug and fiddle with his clothes, if he had a friend/partner around he’ll fiddle with their hand if they’re okay with it. He’ll clench his jaw, bite the inside of his cheek. He’ll try to calm himself down with breathing exercises, maybe repeat stuff to himself from therapy. 

6. what does your muse usually look like / wear ? Casual wear- Graphic tees, hoodies, plaid button ups, jeans, leather logging boots. For more formal situations he’ll have a solid white button up, with black slacks, or if the situation calls for it he’ll throw on a tie, or a suit jacket if need be and he has a trusty pair of Oxfords to wear. 

His hair is dark, loosely curled, and often kept on the shorter side. He tends to stay clean shaven but will sometimes allow himself to grow out a slight stubble. All in all he looks like an average young adult/adult. 

7. Is your muse affectionate?  How much?  How so? Bowie wasn’t always affectionate. He was an only child, who spent a lot of time alone because his mother worked late/odd hours, and had very few friends upon moving to Portland. As he’s gotten older he had become much more affectionate though. He likes cuddling and holding his partner. Playing with their hands when he’s nervous. He’s very big on acts of service for those he considers dear to him. He’s a good listener in his adulthood, and tries to give advice, though sometimes it’s not always solicitied, which has gotten him in trouble before. 

8. what position does your muse sleep in? His back, one arm around his stomach, one arm stretched out over head or covering his eyes, head faceing off to the side, legs spread out star fish style.

9. could you hear your muse in the hallway from another room ? Depends. If the convos not intended to be private yes I think there’s a good chance you’d hear Bowie. bitterness

okay, wait, let me explain. you're not a bitter person, not by any means, but you don't...articulate your feelings very well. you hide behind all of the walls you built and you live inside a castle. bitterness is your defence mechanism. you don't want to be a bad person, you don't want to make people feel bad. and honey, you don't. we know. we know things are hard and trusting people is hard. we know you're trying your best and you don't need to be the nicest person in the world. you've just got to be true to yourself and try to be as good as you can be. and i know, sometimes, that doesn’t feel like enough. you don’t feel like you’re good. you’re not as kind and caring and lovely as some people. you’re sharp and tough sometimes. your life and your feelings aren’t all pretty and sugar sweet. that’s okay. they don’t need to be. the people in your life are there because they want to be. don’t ever think you’re a burden or that they’re only there because they feel like they have to be. they love you. and because of that, they’re in it for the long run. it’s going to be okay. you don’t need to be sugary sweet to be deserving of love.

Bowie was actually born in Reno, Nevada and even lived there for several years in his grandparents house. Shortly after entering middle school though his mother got a job as a nurse in Portland, Oregon and so they moved. With Claire stuck on nightshifts a lot, this left Bowie by himself for quite some time and it made it harder to adjust with the move. 

Bowie hated being alone. 

 He missed his grandparents. He missed his friends back in Reno, who even though they had promised to stay in touch with him... didn’t, and he hated that it felt like his mom worked all of the time. Being alone also ignited anger directed at his dad, whoever he was, because if he had wanted Bowie in the first place and had actually been a father than maybe the wouldn’t need to move, or at least if they had maybe he could still have someone to be with. 

His anger would fester and sometime it would come out directed at people who had nothing to do with it, like at school. He got a lot of detentions for yelling at teachers, he got in fights with other kids sometimes though he never got caught for this by any faculty.

Bowie never knew his dad.

His mother, Claire Anderson, was sixteen when she found out she was pregnant, and seventeen by the time she gave birth. The two had hooked up at a party and even though the evidence of the rendezvous was clear he denied it every step of her pregnancy. Even after, when people noticed Bowie looked almost nothing like her and instead had a strong resemblance to someone else. Claire tried a few times to convince him to be part of Bowie’s life, but with no luck. Sometime after Bowie had turned 2 the man ended up moving out of the state of Nevada and Claire never bothered to contact him again. 

She did her best to raise Bowie knowing that he was very much loved, and very much wanted. By her, his grandparents, and that every family is different but no matter how different they are it’s still family. And that worked, when he was five. But the older he got the more that he realized the truth.

 His father had never wanted anything to do with him.
