She rubs her forehead. Even her own horns were starting to ache a little from this situation. Why oh why was she even told to deal with this case? In her opinion, this guy was a lost cause. If it wasn't for her boss, she would've just sent this case to the paper shredder.

"Your mood swings have been affecting the electronics in other rings, not just Pride. So, it is with mild interest from Sloth that I am here to help you sort those moods out. Does that explain things better?"

I always love writing when muses have feelings for someone else because normally that's rather rare for the muses I pick up (I suffer). So it's always fun to write that gradual understanding of, "oh" when it arises. I can count on one hand the times it was all a fast process, but normally it takes time to reach that phase even with Ozy, who is much more open about what he wants be it a person or otherwise. Most of the time he assumes his attraction is physical / that person is interesting because 99% of the time this is the case. Anything deeper has him pondering.

Honestly, it wasn’t all that often that the Meropide would find himself in such a position. Or even able to indulge in his desires like this overall. He had quite the image to maintain after all, especially in a place like this.

Yet now with the Traveller, well, he trusted them plenty to show this side of himself.

hi i don't think dan heng necessarily hates dan feng for the choices that dan feng made all those years ago, just that he is seen for being the same person who made those choices.

in terms of how dan heng is as a person, i think he would understand and probably honestly make even the same choice of his near and dear friends over just about anything. even back in penacony, he was more than eager to use the jade abacus because these are his one in a lifetime friends - much like the hcq were dan heng's once in a lifetime friends as well. jing yuan himself says that dan heng's care over others is "one thing that hasn't changed".
