And quickly do those sharp teeth find a home in Dan Heng's hand - blocked slightly by his bracer but still covering enough ground to break skin in some locations. Truly a vicious bite... but also, this poor cat had just been squished in a door and squished again in his attempts to remove the little thing from harm's way. In the archivist's mind, this was a pretty reasonable response.

"Ow." He mumbled a little under his breath - a bite still hurt, even if he understood why. Still, he made no motion to remove his hand and chose instead to carefully use his other hand to feel around the little cat's ribs and body.

"It doesn't feel like anything's broken... does it hurt?"

Sesame is upset. He is squanched before he is freed, a transgression this one will pay for with his life soon enough. He plots, letting his fluffy self be moved about as he imagines the fiend's demise. Perhaps he will bite his toe so he can never sleep. Or slap his face into oblivion.

The cat's round body inflates as he breathes in, then quickly huffs, turning to bite at Dan Heng's hand.

"If it wasn't some rather sensitive documents of national security that you were reviewing, I would've offered to let you come finish your work here. But, it's probably best to stay on the good side of the Luofu when it comes to matters like that." He chuckled a little.

"Maybe this can just be your motivation for finishing instead then, coming here and spending some time."

He didn't want to have to squish the cat down in order to keep him steady enough to push open the door, but it was increasingly starting to look like he might have to. At least the kitty seemed to be calming down after a bit of thrashing...

"Sorry." With a swift motion, he pressed down between the cat's shoulders and neck to keep him in place while yanking open the door - activating the door sensor finally and freeing the black cat from his steel prison.

"Let me take a look at you now - "

This is not his face of defeat! He stomps his little paws fussily as he attempts to free himself, but eventually resigns. This is an honor for Dan Heng to assist the righteous Sesame!

( frostwnd Stelle ) Oh? Are they trying to get Mr. Cold Dragon Young to smile? Hm... choices, choices. She could sit here for an eternity trying to brain storm! Instead, she'll do what she does best- bring random found trinkets to the members of the Express. In this case, a dragon plushie and a book for Mr. Dan Heng! /Not/ sourced from a dumpster, mind you!

Ever since he blocked that odd text message from that rather odd phone number, it seemed like there had been some kind of weird shift in the cosmos. Weird or odd certainly wasn't out of the box for Stelle, but she did seem to walk with a rather... focused air in her step. Which really could go either way when it came down to it.

A pleasantly fluffy plushie and new book in mint condition weren't too bad of an outcome though. At first, it seemed like she might still be losing though - a quirk of the head and a raised brow the archivist's first reaction.

"What's the occasion?" He asked, flipping through the pages of the book already.

Then a small smile tugged over the corners of his mouth.

"Thank you though."

Eros just sends Dan Heng a bunch of pictures of baked goods and 'come over'.

Was this a supply haul or something? Granted, these items did look rather delectable and certainly would find a very quick home in the stomachs of most of the Express members.

All this yielded was a somewhat blank look on the archivist's face, owing to this seemingly random message from another seemingly random number. Come to think of it, Pom had been complaining a bit recently about the amount of intergalactic spam messages and emails that had plagued a lot of systems recently.

This must be one of them.

Blocked.

"Ah."

Looks like he needed to have another chat with Pom and Himeko about the door sensors again - this poor cat got stuck in them so often, there was little wonder he tried to rush his way in before the doors closed.

"Hold still, I've got you." Dan Heng to the rescue again.

Sesame is still for a moment, as if doing so will make him invisible. Then he flees to the archives, immediately getting squished by the door--

slides into dms "do you come here often? I think I would have noticed there being an angel amongst us." jy

"Isn't this the place where you can find me the most often, Jing Yuan?" The lightest hint of a chuckle wove into his words as he beckoned over the general, letting the door of the Archives close behind the other.

"I can't claim to be an angel, but doesn't that make any place with you heaven, then?"

I keep reading the interactions between Dan Heng and Sesame, and I absolutely adore how Sesame’s POV is super serious and dramatic while Dan Heng’s is just tired cat owner. 😆 (Also, I feel like op missed the opportunity to write “the time was meow,” but that’s just me.)

"I can't exactly fault a cat for acting the way it does. It's one of the charming points of a cat, after all - their freedom and willful actions."

A pause.

"Also, the cat's very cute."
