Ashton didn't see the need to correct her on his immunity status, nothing would've changed anyways unless he was immuned. He felt the painful jab into his ribs, a cough and a wheeze as he only reply to her, letting her words infect him more than the virus infecting his veins. He was just living his life. Doing his best to do some good with the second chance at life he had. He was not a parasite. They said he was family. He didn't deserve her words of simply finding his people in a new home.

Or maybe he was. Maybe he was ruining their lives. Maybe he didn't deserve to love Jeremiah or any of them, he was just a blip in their lives. Maybe he was nothing but a nuisance, Maybe he shouldn't have moved to New York, maybe he should've just died. Because once again the same question comes back that JP couldn't really give a reassuring answer - who was he to them, compared to her? He was no one. Even if he needed them, she would always take precedence. Deep down perhaps the decay of that thought could never really go away. His mind had a hard time struggling to pull out sources of affirmation from sweeter memories, when all he could think about was all the exact opposite that hurt. The kick to the chest was a physical hammer into her sentiments and his thoughts rearing its ugly head.

No you didn't, you didn't make him. It may have been the last bit of defiance he had in him but Ashton didn't have anything left in the tank to verbally answer her or fight back, feeling her straddle him, this time refusing to meet her gaze, knowing a part of him would crumble if he did and let her win. Her family. She was right, wasn't she? He didn't belong here with any of them. All his existence did was make their lives more difficult. Feeling the needle into his neck, he didn't care at that point what she was going to do to him, kill him, drug him, vaccine, as long as it ended one way or another, maybe better remove him from their lives entirely. He didn't even manage to pull out of his own head until she had left and the cuffs were being released. He could feel his body in a tug between virus, antibodies and vaccine, dead gaze distant as he emotionally walled himself up, limply letting the two men do whatever they wanted to do before he was dragged out of one hell, probably to go into another.

Stood back with a self satisfied smile, it was obvious she was taking great pleasure in watching him through his stages of panic as he first tried to force up what amounted to a single gulp of wine, and then again when he realized he couldn't. Accepting her cane from one of the men who retrieved it from it's place dejected on the floor and placed it back in the hand of his rightful wielder, there was an electrified sort of energy building around her now as she battled with her own urge and the promise she'd made to Jeremiah.

"All it takes is up to twenty minutes, right? From infection to change? Roman lasted far longer, but maybe that was a one off, who knows? I guess I can just-..." A pause, but only to jab the end tip into Ashton's ribs with frustration. "You do know that you are incredibly annoying, right?" Scoffing as she leaned on the cane she gestured a little with the syringe still in her hands, letting the heat of the infection settle into his veins.

"You accuse me of being all over your life, but look at you all over mine! So first, you cost me millions of dollars, tens of millions of dollars by now, probably. Then you move into my building, right under my nose. Snuggle up with my people and then whine and moan to them and everyone that I have my fingers in everyone close to you. I was here first. That makes you the parasite."

Another little kick came to the same place that she'd dug her cane into so she could get him on his side followed by a push with her toe to continue his momentum onto his back. Using the support of her cane as she lowered down to straddle his chest, knees on his forearms, Sada stared down at him and for once there was no mask hiding her internal battle on to inject him or cave in his skull.

"You think I don't love him? I lifted that man out of obscurity and made him into the man you love." Sneering the word with a shake of her head, jealous and possessive rage broiling through her veins and coming off in her scalding whispered tone, body almost trembling with it as she leaned over speak directly into his ear, to make sure he heard, to make sure the words would sear into him.

"He might be the only thing I love more than money, and you came and infected both. I'm not the virus, you are... coming here and wiggling your way into my family, and they've always been my family. You will not turn them against me, any of them. Not Jeremiah, JP, nor Ria, Tad, or Dixie. You leave my fucking family alone."

Finally, she slid the needle into the side of his neck and gave him the life giving vaccine that would ensure that he would either fall in line or die. Would ensure that if he got it without her, she'd know there was dissent in her ranks far worse than what was whispered. "Believe me, Ashton. This is not the mercy you think it is."

Holding out a hand which was immediately taken to help her to her feet, she waved the two men off once she'd steadied. They would be dragging him out if she had anything to say about it, and of course, Sada had all the say.

By the time she left his cell leaving the two men to clean him up and drag him back to his apartment, Sada herself was limping from the exertion of the last pointed goodbye beating she'd given , leaning hard on her cane and stifling a wince with each step as she made her way out to the elevator to take her up to her room.

It was time for a drink, and a long hot bath.

April 19th-26th - 30 Days of Autism Acceptance

April 19: Talk about scripting. Is scripting something that you normally do? What kind of situations do you have a script for? Does it help you?

Yes, scripting is something I do on a regular basis. The most common example of scripting with me is how I have a plan to say “I’m good, how are you?” every single time someone asks me how I’m doing. Without fail, I say that exact same thing every single time since it is one of many prepared responses I have.

Scripting does help me a lot. It allows me to not have to worry as much about figuring out the proper thing to say.

April 20: Discuss stimming. In what ways do you stim? What does stimming mean to you? What do individual stims that you do mean? Do you have any stim toys? What would you like people to know about stimming?

I stim vocally, sometimes visually, and more often than not, through touching fabrics or doing repetive motions.

Stimming is a way for me to help decompress and self-regulate. However, I don’t always stim when experiencing a bad emotion. If I am overly excited or happy, I will start to stim then too. It just helps me cope with the powerful emotion I’m experiencing (I stim mostly in accordance with strong, negative and positive, emotions).

I haven’t exactly figured this out yet. All I know is that when I made this one specific sound (it’s hard to describe), it usually means that I’m overwhelmed in a bad way either by fear, overstimulation, et cetera. However, my most common stim, clenching my hand into a fist and shaking it kind of like you would a maraca, is something I’ve yet to place any specific thing to. It do this stim almost all the time and I don’t know why; it just helps.

Yes, I do. I have a tangle, quite a few stress balls, and a few other miscellaneous items that I like to fiddle with or touch. Additionally, I have this game that’s supposed to mimic bubble popping. That’s literally all there is to it: You just keep inverting the rubber (silicone?) circles over and over. It keeps me occupied for far too long XD.

I would like people to know that stimming is an aid to us and that we aren’t doing it to annoy people. I wish that I wasn’t so embarrassed when I stim, but most people think it’s weird when you start flapping your hands and that of the like.

April 21: Give a shoutout to some of your favorite autism blogs/autistic bloggers

I am still new to Tumblr and am very inactive on here so, I haven’t really found too many autistic bloggers except for the person who created this challenge. If anyone has any suggestions for people to follow, please let me know! :)

April 22: What are some social rules that do not make sense to you/that you don't understand?

I don’t quite grasp the concept of not revealing too much to other people and I don’t understand why people don’t just say what they mean. As a person who over-shares way too much for my own good, I easily get carried away and people often get annoyed with me. I just don’t know when to stop. On the subject of the other concept, I’d rather you tell me I’m irritating then continue to pretend to enjoy our conversation.

April 23: Do you have any internal rules? What are they?

Well, whenever I feel the urge to stim, I have a rule to myself that when in public, I have to make it look as inconspicuous as possible as to not call attention to myself. I also have to tell myself to at least try to make eye contact every so often, not start spilling tons of information on my special interests even if they’re mentioned, and so on.

April 24: Talk about community. What does the autistic community mean to you? Is it important? How does it feel?

I don’t know much about the autistic community as I’m not really an active participant in it. Yes, I spread knowledge and awareness about autism, but I haven’t really done much to talk to others actually within the community. I’m a little socially awkward and shy so, that’s partially why. However, I still think it is a beautiful thing. The community allows for autistics, who feel alone or just need someone to relate to, to find help with their specific struggles and to find people who share similar difficulties. I think that that opportunity is a wonderful thing.

April 25: Do you know any other autistic people off the internet? Is anyone else in your family autistic or are you the only one? Do you wish you knew more?

Yes, one of my best friends, who happens to still be in high school, is autistic. I have met her in person numerous times because we grew up in the same area (she still lives there) and our parents are friends. Now, I stay in touch with her over social media and texting.

When it comes to my family, there are at least two others who are autistic. There is a male cousin of mine on both sides of my family who are autistic, but I hardly know either of them.

I do wish I knew more people who are autistic, though if I have too many friends, I’ll start to get overwhelmed. My statement still stands nevertheless.

April 26: In what ways can allistic people better accommodate you and other autistic people? What would you consider helpful?

I think the biggest thing that would help would be for people who aren’t on the spectrum to come with an open mind. Don’t poke fun at us, judge us, et cetera. Let us stim if we feel the need to, don’t make fun of us if we’re socially awkward or don’t talk at all, and just overall, be kind and accepting. We’re human just like you.
