If Yusuke were to ever step foot into Penacony, he would find LOADS of art inspiration in dream stuff like walking billboards and talking soda bottles, spouting art stuff so often people would look at him funny. He would be so entranced by Aventurine's Coin Armageddon that he'll compare it to something Babylonian and become so obsessed with drawing both it and Acheron's Nihility Sword Slash right. And if Aventurine sees the painting? He'll go "Oh that is a beautiful painting." and buy it on the spot

"Ah hello it's been awhile hasn't it?"

Yusuke had been visiting between the break for school. He had some time off for that as well as from his part-time job. It had found the young artist journeying back from where he was studying to Shibuya.

Feet had carried him back to the backstreet where Leblanc was, coming to get a cup or two of Boss' coffee - something he'd admit he missed not being able to come so easily here now. As well as some of the curry.

But the big reason he came here was still the same, to check and look at the Sayuri once more. To see his mother's art once more, reminded him of all that had happened and what he could do.

He hadn't expected to see their fearless leader however, he had excepted at the least to see Futaba. But he was pleasantly surprised and happy to see the other however.

Multiverse travel is cool and all but I'm starting to lose track of how many I've been to. I think I've met at least 5 other Yusuke's by now. A few Kurama's. One other Hiei. Haven't interacted with any Kuwabara's yet.

"Hey, Inari. I know we both annoy each other, and I'll have your head if you touch my precious babies, but... um, if you ever need money for anything other than art, please tell me, okay?" Futaba said with a kind smile. "I have saved up a lot thanks to my side quests and hacking missions, so don't be afraid to ask for my help!" (I saw a meme with them and thought of Yusuke, so!! :3)

Despite the threat, Yusuke couldn't help, but to chuckle from the young hacker's kindness. She has come a long way to become more open and social to Akira and the rest of the their friends. The fox smiles in return.

"I appreciate that Futaba. Ah....My stomach needs to consume lunch. May I ask...erm....If you can ask the Boss to make a plate of curry?" It is quite clear that he hasn't been taking care of himself again and using his last bit of allowance to take care of his art supplies. The gallery projects has been quite competitive lately.

wrong place, wrong time

it shouldn’t have been you. oh my love, you should have lived. if only. if only you had made a right instead of a left. if only your friend hadn’t had so much to drink. if only it hadn’t rained last night. then everything would be fine. a butterfly could have flapped its wings at another time and you would have have been fine. safety was so close, and yet so far. but alas, the stars just had to align.

it had to end this way. we all know it. only you were unaware. you had hope. hope, of course, only makes it hurt all the more. we all knew you would look back, oh love, there’s no other version of the story. and yet, alongside you, we still had hope. we believed in you, even though we knew you couldn’t win. and you believed in yourself till the last moment. it isn’t fair, is it? you didn’t know you were doomed.

  before   he   can   swivel   ,   to   gauge   whether   inspiration   had   struck   ,   it   is   instead   the   fox   that   chimes   in.   beating   the   wildcard   to   the   punch.

  at   first   ,   he   simply   blinks   —   once   then   twice   ,   as   if   he   were   still   comprehending   the   unprompted   confession.   before   he   smiles   ,   sweetly   ,   and   slings   an   arm   around   the   far   too   solemn   student   ,   initiating   his   bubble   of   a   chuckle.

  ❝   yeah   ?   well   ,   the   feeling’s   mutual.   hey   ,   remember   the   first   time   we   met   ?   you   sure   scared   takamaki.   ❞   another   slip   of   mirth   circulates   around   the   tightknit   duo   ,   but   by   its   coda   ,   his   expression   softens.   leaving   his   voice   to   follow   suit.   ❝   you’ve   become   such   a   huge   part   of   my   life   ,   yusuke.   i   don’t   think   it’ll   ever   be   the   same   without   you.   ❞

OTPs + NOTPs + Yusuke Kitagawa?

OTPs:

Ryuji x Yusuke. This one honestly came outta nowhere, and I largely have @forfeitsouls to blame because she helped me see the vision while I was playing through Persona 5. They're the two most misunderstood characters out of all the Phantom Thieves; of COURSE they're going to be drawn to one another. The bold and brash coupled with the quiet and awkward? I love a good opposites attract ship. It's my OTP for Yusuke. <3

Akira/Ren x Yusuke. Obviously. Yusuke always calls the protag his muse and draws immense inspiration from him. Also thinks he's beautiful, lmfao, and let's not forget the fact that the protag is a HUGE reason why Yusuke was able to break off and heal from Madarame, and begin to see the fruits of his own labor and talents. If Atlus wasn't so afraid of putting GHEY pairings into their games, I honestly believe both Ryuji and Yusuke would have been romance options, and it would have worked.

Akechi x Yusuke. This one was another unexpected one that I give credit to @quillheel for. They w o r k. They just... WORK. The misunderstood, lonely (whether he wants to admit it or not) outcast who had an absolutely horrible childhood paired with the OTHER misunderstood, lonely outcast who ALSO had a horrible childhood? Yet, the former is far more hardened, far more guarded and broken, but here comes Yusuke weaseling his way past every single defense and just... existing. Acting as a soft, reliable presence and quiet company for Akechi... being THERE for him when nobody else has been? Give it ALLLLLL to me.

Hifumi x Yusuke. I just think they'd be adorable together. ;_; <3

Haru x Yusuke. I don't see MY Yusuke being attracted to her! Nothing against the ship.

Makoto x Yusuke. Same as Haru. Makoto feels like a good sister figure for Yusuke, but I don't see it going past that.

Yusuke gasped softly as he turned to the other. They had journeyed into the newly found entrance to Mementos, well in reality it had been found a few months ago and it was where the two had first run into one another.

He had not expected to run into another Persona user here in Kyoto but still. He had found himself greatful for the accompaniment as he used to have a similar arrangement with his dear friend - Joker. He would come here to sketch and gain inspiration for a piece, he had found himself lacking in it once again and had decided to come back.

However the words that fell from the other's lips were not ones he could say he expected to hear. There isn't a nervousness in him but he does put his brush and pad back to where they normal sit on his belt.

"What makes you say that?"

Sora had the Fox's fully attention in this moment, though he is hoping this isn't about to become a fight, but he will not hesitate if it does.

How foolish of him.

How naive had he been, so caught up in things. He really hadn't seen the signs had he? Was he truly that out of tune with others even after all this time that he was still so blind to it?

He grunts slightly and in his shock has stepped back from the other. It had been too convenient the timing of the Metaverse returning with an entryway here to Mementos at the very least and he being the only one who had been nearby - everyone else busy was that he would check it out. That being his first run in and meeting with the other.

"How!? Why would you say that?!"

Yusuke is demanding in his questions, his fist balled up tight now. This betrayal stung, one he had not felt since he had first discovered the truth of his teacher and had the rose coloured glasses ripped from his eyes.

However this time he was different, it was different. This time wasn't his first time in feeling this way and having to deal with the situation in a way.

He hadn't even realised for a moment that Gorokichi had appeared behind him, faintly but he was there, after all they were stood in the Cognitive World.

And so Fox takes a deep breathe as Gorokichi's form becomes solid, it had been some time since the last outing and full on fight but he wasn't about to go down easily.

"I won't be so easy to do that, I won't go down so easily!"
