hey there. making a pinned post for new people to navigate this organized mess of a blog. but i like conciseness (that’s a lie) so it’s all going under a readmore.

yo. i’m grace.

i’m an adult ace lesbian.

not placing my exact age in this post because i know i’ll forget to update it but it’s on my blog description.

my gender is also “lesbian” but i don’t feel like explaining that every single time so i’m also a woman because it’s close enough.

i use she/her/they pronouns. which means i prefer she/her most of the time but i’m not averse to the occasional “they”

i’m not glued to particular fandoms. i tag every post/reblog about the media with said media. however, i’m a big fan of demon slayer/kimetsu no yaiba, jojo’s bizarre adventure, and pokemon, so those will pop up frequently. i also read warrior cats when i was a kid so i’m haunted by that curse, too. also tagged accordingly.

i also love music. like a LOT. personally, the bands/artists that i’m big on are: Medusa, Crawlers, Mothica, Xana, and VIAL as the big ones that come to mind

this blog is my main and is accordingly a mess of things. art, ocs, poetry, fangirling, whatever. i do have a handful of sideblogs.

@gs-artchive is technically my art sideblog. i forget about it a lot because i mostly do my own oc art for my personal project or my sona and that usually goes here first haha. so that’s mostly where i reblog/store my art or post my fandom-related art or edits

@ace-and-ink is my poetry sideblog. it goes kinda dead for a while because i’m both very slow at writing good stuff and also very picky with what i deem “good.” but all my poetry solely goes there (save for reach reblogging).

i’ve also got a sideblog for my personal project that’s just sitting and url-hogging at the moment. i won’t link it for now until i actually get it up and running.

and finally, let’s talk about that personal project (pretty please). it’s called Godsign (the overall series) and it’s a story/series i’ve been working on and tempering for a few years now. i’d like to begin making it as a webcomic soon enough, but i’ve still got a bit of story writing (and webcomic-related research) before that happens, but i hope sooner rather than later i can make it real. i adore talking about it, as the extensive number of posts in the godsign/grace’s ocs tags will showcase.

i’ve also got a sona named C. that’s their full name. here’s his main ref, but he’s got additional outfit refs pinned on my art blog (or provided on request) because i like playing dress-up with her :3

(she also has lore/a story universe, but that C and this C are technically different people if that makes sense. the story C is based on my sona C, you know?)

It's been quite a busy month full of progress and creation! I'm excited to see what I've accomplished, so let's get into it!

𝚐𝚎𝚗𝚎𝚛𝚊𝚕 𝚙𝚊𝚝𝚌𝚑 𝚗𝚘𝚝𝚎𝚜 —

➺ First of all, I created a kofi ! I’ve been more active in the community and as such, I’ve offered  to help others with tumblr theme coding, WIP graphics, and more, for free! The kofi is for those of you who would like to support what I write and do ^^

➺ In a similar vein, I created a Notion template for free use; it’s a character masterlist, includes an expanded character page template, and is completely free for any notion user.  (That said, Notion does offer a free premium membership for students, if you have a student email c;)

➺ This month has been a major increase in activity. We welcome 52 new sprites to the Haven, for a total of 540 members! I'm elated that so many of you are interested in my work ❤︎

➺ Along with this, I’ve reached two other milestones; 5,000 liked posts and 1,000 original posts. Honestly, I’m not too sure whether to be proud of these or not. If anything, it’s slightly unnerving to see how active I am, LOL.

➺ The writeblr list is up to 37 members and is still open to adding more! Simply fill out the form, reblog the original promo post, and I’ll tag you once I’ve added you to the Locket.

➺ North Haven Discord has reached 52 members! I’ve also worked hard to bring in new bots, reorganize realms, and allow members to share their work in a more effective manner. All writers  are welcome to join, and if you do, I ask that you reblog the promo post for it!

➺ I’ve been generally more active this month, as have all of my lovely sprites! My inbox has been absolutely overflowing with asks and I’ve got plenty of tag games to work with; I’m extremely grateful for everyone’s support, and I will always get to your asks + tags.

➺ That said, I wanted to give a few mutuals a shoutout, as my community has grown quite a bit and I’ve started interacting with even more wonderful writeblrs ❤︎

i wrote soo much ahaha. like however much you think i wrote, i wrote more than that. imo everything i write is gold though

1. are you going to buy the new pack (cottage living) when it comes out? no, it looks really nice but i legit never ever buy packs at launch, especially cause this one is a expansion and it will probably go on sale at some point

2. do you p*rate your dlc or buy it legitimately? buy it legitimately 👌

3. what’s your favorite world? brindleton bay, it gives like seaside cottage vibes. willow creek is good but it’s boring. 

4. if you use a queue, how many posts per day do you set it as? 3 or 4. i used to do like 12 lmaoo what even was wrong with me

5. do you watch sims on youtube? yes, i watch mainly malixa, oshinsims, and msgryphi

6. what are your thoughts on the most recent pack? 13. if you have c&d, do you play with pets? i feel like i haven’t played with cats and dogs in forever. honestly i just have no paitence. noelle fae was supposed to get a cat (there’s a food bowl + cat bed in her house) but when summer vacation started, the amount of time i spent playing ts4 decreased a lot. (this doesn’t really make sense, i have a lot more time. honestly it just has to do with my recent obsession with a certain anime/manga and some other personal thing)

i did random nightmares in may though and i had pets frequently. g5 didn’t because sofia scarlett lived in an apartment, but g2/3/4 had cici, and g1 had all the cats. but that was back in march so it’s been a while.

14. what lifespan do you use? i really want to do aging off but then i feel like it drags on. but aging legit stresses me out, sometimes i just want to sit down and do some cas stuff but i only have 2 hours in real time and there’s like 4 days left till one of my sims’ birthdays.

i feel like eps require a specific save made for testing them out, but the only save i’ve ever made for an ep is noelle fae’s get famous save.

i feel like im forgetting some.. honestly most of the stuff i did before simblr was either 100 baby (i love that challenge) or random saves that lasted for 2 seconds. 

18. do you like the new(ish) hair swatches? nah. 

i do appreciate that most cc hairs have a true (ish) black, thank god! and the fact that the hair update is what inspired me to update and fix a bunch of hairs with different issues is pretty nice. but will i use them? no. 

plus it takes up like 5 gb? depending on how many packs you have.

noelle is blonde and has blue-grey eyes. she wears purple contacts pretty often though (because she wants to 😌)

alari has light brown hair that is kinda curly, and she’s got pretty vibrant blue eyes. 

they’re sisters, alari is 3 years older than noelle. noelle was 19 and alari was 22 when they got spotted

they worked as models when they were young adults. their jobs involved dyeing their hair blue/pink, and they would model like clothes and stuff. anyways, they were pretty successful. like not ultra famous but they had enough money to not work for the rest of their lives. 

their modeling group was made of 4 girls, the others were named paisley autumn and they were green and red, respectively. some things are: 

paisley and alari started dating during this 

autumn was a single mother to a little girl named destiny

noelle dated many people during this but never ended up finding the one <3

when their contract ended after like 6 years, paisley and alari went to go live together and noelle decided to get into acting. so thats when get famous playthrough started!

22. if you use cc, are there any cc creators that you have like ALL of their items? this is such a good question! i hoard hair very heavily (my folder is 11gb) i so i have like 97% from most of the popular hair creators. 

i think i had legitimately EVERYTHING from simstrouble though, i went through multiple times to check and i also have all of her retired stuff. 

i have everything from ridgeport i think-? because of the fact that she uploaded all her stuff in one big zip.

› aes!ocnet is a safe place and network that supports our members through promoting and appreciating the said members creations. we aim to act as a centre of inspiration and positivity for the oc / fic community!

♡ what does aes!ocnet do?

› we promote and support our members through liking and reblogging their content. reblogging has a great impact [especially on smaller accounts] as it allows for their content to be shared around the community to different users including those who aren’t following them and thus had a low chance of seeing their posts. this can lead to connections and friendships within the community which we are all about! creators put their time and effort into creating their content and we believe that reblogging is the least we can do to show how talented and hardworking our members are! 

♡ what are the requirements to applying?

› the only requirement we have is that you must post fictional idol [fic] related content. fic stands for fictional idol community. the content we accept are kpop idols [ie groups, soloists, group additions], khiphop or kindie artists [or any kgenre], any other musicians in the music industry [doesn’t have to be kpop], actors, staff members [producers, managers, ceos, choreographers, stylists, makeup artists, composers, song writers etc], entertainment companies. if you are unsure if we’ll accept your content, feel free to send us a message and we’ll any queries you may have! 

♡ how do i apply? 

› take a read of our introduction and guidelines and when you feel ready, you can fill out our application form. just simply answer the questions honestly and to the best of your ability and you’ll be accepted within a few days!

♡ what do i need to do to be accepted in aes!ocnet? 

› as stated in our introduction and guidelines, you must follow us on your main / primary account and reblog our introduction post on atleast one of your accounts. please note, you will not be accepted unless you do these two simple steps but we will message you to remind you if you have missed a step. again, feel free to message us if you have any queries about this stage!

♡ what will happen if i don’t follow the guidelines?

› if you don’t follow our guidelines prior to being accepted [ie not following us or/and reblogging our intro post], you will be sent a message from aes!ocnet stating which step you have forgot. if we don’t hear from you for a week, we will not accept you into our ocnet and therefore delete your application. 

if you don’t follow our guidelines once you have become a member, we will issue you 3 warnings that you are going against our guidelines. once you have breached our guidelines more than 3 times, you will be removed as a member and will receive a probation period if you ever want to return to our ocnet. 

♡ what happens after i apply? 

› once you apply, you should hear from us within a few days with a welcome message. we try to check our applications every few days so please understand that we may not contact you straight away. once you have received that welcome message, feel free to start tagging your content with #aes!ocnet or #aesocnet. we will also post an official members post and add you to our member’s page. this is usually done at the beginning of the week [ie monday or tuesday]. 

note, some of members start tagging their posts as soon as they apply, which is fine by us as long as you are 100% sure you have followed our guidelines. 

♡ will aes!ocnet ever contact me?

› as stated above, there are a few situations that may require us to contact you. this can include anything from welcoming you as a member, answering questions or queries, any essential updates, reminders or breaches of the guidelines, requesting information [ie we couldn’t find your acc, double checking accounts) or just checking in for a chat.  

we will also try to reply back to you as quickly as we can but as our admin is currently in gmt+8 timezone, it may be tricky especially for those who have opposite time zones. 

♡ where can i contact aes!ocnet if i need to? 

› the best place to currently contact us is our dms / messages or our ask box. we also have a discord server which an alternative for a quicker reply! dm me for the link !!

♡ are there any changes that i need to contact aes!ocnet about? 

› of course you don’t have to inform us about anything if you don’t wish but letting us know of things beforehand will give us a better heads up to better supporting you. 

with this being said, we do appreciate if you send us a quick message telling us if you are deleting all your accounts or no longer creating ocs (we don’t need an explanation, just for courtesy), if you are adding or deleting any ocs (ie you have a new addition or are no longer posting a group etc), if you are changing your username of any of your accounts or if you are taking a break or hiatus. 

♡ how soon after i apply should i expect my posts to be reblogged?

› approximately a week max! this is all depending on the day that you apply to our ocnet. we usually add new members at the start of the week and only check for new applications every few days, focusing on the weekend.

for example, if you apply on a wednesday, we may not see your application until friday but we will begin to reblog your posts as soon as we verify that you have completed our requirements to be accepted. (see above)

additionally, we usually check our application if we see an account we are not following is using our #aes!ocnet or #aesocnet hashtag as we only follow our members. tip if you want us to accept you quicker, just started tagging us in your posts!

another way you can get us to accept you quicker is if you send us a quick dm or ask! this is bound to make us reply asap.

keep in mind, the admin is only human and has other responsibilities than this ocnet which is only a hobby. i try our best to stay active but as the past has shown us, that is not always the case. we do try to update our members if we ever need to take a break from reblogging or any other changed occur with aes!ocnet. 

♡ what is aes!ocnet’s posting schedule?

› currently we try to reblog new posts everyday. we use our queue to reblog our member's posts and have it set to a maximum of 15 reblogs a day. of course, this may change if there is less or more content being tagged with our hashtag, #aes!ocnet or #aesocnet 

♡ i’ve seen aes!ocnet liking my posts but not reblogging? 

› as stated above, we use our queue to reblog as it helps with keeping our posts consistent. we often will heart / like posts for two reasons; to support your work and for us to remembering what posts we have added to our queue. thus, if we have hearted your content, there is a 100% that it will be reblogged soon. our advice is to keep being patient and your posts will be promoted within time. of course, if it has been over a week and your post is not been reblogged, feel free to send us a dm and we'll see that your post is reblogged asap!

♡ can I send in posts to you for reblogging? 

› of course! you can use the send post button (ie the little arrow on your posts near the heart / reblog buttons) to send us your posts or you can send us your posts url / link to our dms. you can send either older posts that you posted before you applied / were a member, any posts you may of forgotten to tag or any post we may have missed. please do not send us posts you have tagged unless it has been a reasonable amount of time before we reposted it (ie a week or so). 

we would also be fine with reblogging content that we have already reblogged only as long as its not reblogged that regularly. (ie every few days)

keep in mind, we will add it to our queue so it may not be relogged straight away but we most likely will reply back to you

♡ what type of posts can i tag aes!ocnet’s tags? 

› we accept any posts that are oc related! this can include asks, requests, scenarios, masterlists, character development posts (ie profiles, relationships, trivia), videos, gifs, pictures, updates etc. as long as it about your ocs and not anything unrelated. 

we would appreciate if you would add a "read more" section if your posts are very long (ie over 1k words). we would also appreciate if you would tag your posts with any trigger warnings and put a "read more" section if applicable (ie a scenario).

you can add a read more section by creating a new line and clicking the add read more link (the 3 dots) which is next to the gif icon on desktop. you can add a read more section on mobile by adding [[/MORE/]] to your posts but without both the slashes or '/'. 

if you are unsure if your posts are appropriate, remember our dms are always open to answer any queries!

Thanks for reading this if you do~ It’s been a while since I updated so it’s kinda long but it’s mostly just clean up/re-wording and adding a couple things I’ve been thinking about. If you have any questions or would like clarification on anything, please feel free to ask.

Under the “Basics” section:

I’M SLOW. I feel the need to stress this. Please do not follow me if you are not comfortable waiting a month for a reply to come out of my queue or if you don't want to wait for a starter to be written.

Give me 1-2 weeks to look at your blog and follow back. Not only am I busy but I want to make sure I read over your blog carefully. Concerning memes: I try to not reblog a meme unless I've sent one. I typically try to reblog from the source as well. I love sending memes as ice-breakers for my anxiety but sometimes I am just too tired too. I also hoard memes sent to me and may answer them much later to the point that you forgot you sent it and I apologize in advance for that.

Any icons I put up for general use are under the tag "#free to use".

Under the “Writing” section:

On plotting: I know some people are put off by this but all I mean when I say this is that I would like to know which muse (there’s a lot), how our muses know each other (if they do), and the setting (unless it’s just them chatting). I’m a big fan of muses moving along the story themselves and talking if either of us gets blocked. I prefer plotting over starter calls so I will often do plotting calls instead.

Under a new section called “Queues”:

Fandom Queue: Posts at 10AM PST 1/day. These are all graphic posts for ships, muses, aesthetics, etc.

Primary Queue: Posts at 12PM PST 1/day. This queue is where the majority of my replies go. I try to keep this queue stocked at least for a week of posts but it has gone up to a month's worth of posts.

Secondary Queue: Post at 3PM PST 1/day. This is a scheduled, secondary queue for threads that I have high muse for. Just because our thread is in here once doesn't mean it will continue to be. I put threads here if I feel I can reply to them again very quick. This queue does not always have posts in it.

Re-vamped the “Tagging” section:

Replies

My muse's first and last name, if they have one. Ex. "#c: cid highwind"

My partner's URL, dashes omitted.

If my partner is also a multi, I will also tag "#URL: muse's name".

Asks will be answered in a text post and tagged "#answered asks".

Each character has their potential triggers listed on their bios so I will not tag triggers for replies unless requested to by my partner. Otherwise, you can blacklist their muse name.

Anything coming out of the queue will be tagged #queue to show that I am not here.

Graphic Posts

Triggering content such as suicide, death, blood, gore needles, clowns, and spiders, violence, alcohol. Ex. "#blood tw"

If you need something special tagged, please let me know even if you think it seems silly to others. Your mental health is important and I will tag it for you.

For fandom posts, I tag the fandom name. ex. #once upon a time, #disney, #marvel, #mcu etc.

tumblr used to have this neat feature before. but then they rewrote their in-dash-blog thingy and it was gone :C to be clear, peepr is the right side panel which lets users preview blogs while staying on the same page.

this script does TWO things on activity page. But in general it only modifies activity notes all of which look like this: (user avatar) (blog name) (liked/reblogged your photo/set/post) (summary) (post picture)

1. clicking on the note description normally opens post in a new tab. with this script, no more! it will open peepr at exactly that post. clicking on either avatar or blog name, same as before, opens peepr with that blog starting with their first post.

this is useful for reasons. - if activity note is a reblog, then you can quickly take a look at what may have been added by that person - tags, comments, etc. and you can browse their latest posts too. - you absolutely DO NOT have to see that blog in its natural habitat with whatever annoying (or not) theme they might have, and you don't need to leave the comfort of your dash ever. EVER. - if it's a like, peepr will open your own post to remind you why it may have been so cool that someone liked it.

2. additionally the script removes pop over menu from blog names. that is, when you hover over it, no extra annoying window will appear to cover half of the notes beneath\above it while also lingering there for three centuries afterwards. though it's still there, if you want it - just hover over the avatar to the left of (blog name).

I’m pretty active/vocal about my stance towards MAPs and seeing as this is a kpop blog first, most people don’t know what it is so here’s a little crash course in the MAP Community.

Q: What’s a MAP? A: MAP stands for Minor Attracted Person, it’s basically a blanket term for the various types of pedophiles. It also doubles as a term to hide from what they are; pedophiles. It’s something they can put in their bios, and talk about on blogs, but because most people don’t know what MAP means, they don’t blink an eye. It’s a soft term to confuse and hide and water down what they are; they’re just pedophiles.

Some terms you might see thrown around:

Anti - Anti Community: The group of people that disagree with/fight against normalizing and accepting pedophilia

AOA - Age Of Attraction: The minimum to maximum age that a particular pedophile is attracted to (ex. 0-5 years old)

Pro C - Pro Contact: Pedophiles that are for contact, aka molesting and raping children. They think children can consent, therefore the relationship is consensual, and they should be allowed to have sex with a child.

Non Offending - Anti Contact: Pedophiles that are against sexual contact with children, usually because it’s against the law and they don’t want to go to jail. Also usually means they frequent pools and parks and schools, work with children, and consume simulated child porn.

Sim CP - Simulated Child Porn: Drawn or animated child porn consumed by ‘non-offending- pedophiles because ‘drawings aren’t illegal’ (ex. loli/shota) also, drawn CP is illegal.

Non Exclusive: Pedophile that isn’t solely attracted to children, also attracted to adults.

Exclusive: Pedophiles that are solely attracted to children.
