@vampirecrack from here.
The two women had grown closer over time, Sonja had moved from respecting Sookie and thinking her as a friend to realizing she might be fond of her for different reasons. She’d not let herself grow attached to a mortal in several centuries, until more recently of course. Sookie was human, and fae but Sonja herself had walked the earth since the early dark ages and so her faerie blood smelt sweet but didn’t hypnotize her like it did younger vampires. She smelt like sunlight and smiled so sweetly and she’d be a liar if she said she wasn’t curious if she tasted sweet too.
Tumblr media
Sonja smirks when she spins on her heel and strode forward, swaying her hips slowly just to be a tease. She invades Sookie’s space until she has no option but to back up against the counter unless she wants to be pressed up against her, she’s curious how Sookie reacts. My, perhaps not as ‘straight’ as once assumed.
“The one behind you, yes. I’d like to see you bending over it, unless of course...you’re scared.” She lets the taunt linger in the air, looking from Sookie’s face down to her body briefly with open appreciation on her face. Sookie’s beautiful, both on the outside and the inside, a refreshing change.

While it annoyed Sonja mightily to have what seemed like everything under the sun coming after the two of them trying to kill them, she had been a warrior for well over a thousand years and would kill anything that came after them. Sookie’s fairy blood smelt tempting but she was more concerned with keeping the other woman safe than trying to get a taste, not to mention she was beyond the age that controlling herself was of no consequence. The baby vampire following them was more of a concern, and a much higher one (whomever had sent her was a coward, one she would strangle at a later date).
Tumblr media
It wasn’t one of Sonja’s better ideas, but it would work. Public displays of affection tended to make people uncomfortable, and why would two women on the run from werewolves and vampires alike be kissing as if they hadn’t a care in the world? Sonja hummed low in her throat when Sookie pulled away, looking at her a little more curiously. Yes, she could see what all the fuss was about now.
“Best not to linger, and take advantage of the temporary reprieve to get to a safe place.” A faint smirk played on the vampire’s lips, amused to see the other woman flustered.

“  don’t do that— don’t shut down on me. let me in.  ”
𝖙𝖍𝖆𝖙 𝖐𝖎𝖓𝖉 𝖔𝖋 𝖘𝖍𝖎𝖕 𝖉𝖞𝖓𝖆𝖒𝖎𝖈 // @vampirecrack
She keeps her back stubbornly turned, she knows she’ll fold the second she sees Sookie’s pleading expression. The vampiress is angry but not at her, not really. She cannot fault her, but she can fault the other vampires in the area. She has half a mind to challenge both Bill Compton and Eric Northman, she’s old enough to walk away rom both brawls relatively unscathed, but then Sookie would be upset that she had fought with them....and perhaps maimed them a little.
“You are too forgiving to those who do not quite deserve it.” She responds at last, turning to face the other woman, but keeping her gaze down. Sookie can’t read her thoughts, she might think she meant Bon Temps as a whole, or the two vampire men that had broken her heart. She wants to challenge them, she wants to challenge anyone that besmirches Sookie Stackhouse’s good name. But she will not let herself be like them, will not dare call Sookie hers until the other woman does it first.
Tumblr media
“Perhaps I should be counted among that number. They whisper about you more, when I come and visit. I do not want to make things harder on you, the townsfolk are...rude enough as it is.” The vampiress sighs, looking at the other woman. Sookie can’t read her thoughts, but the forlorn look in her eyes is impossible to miss. “There are things I want to say, things I wish I could ask of you, but I am not that selfish. You deserve far better, I wish you could see that.”

𝔣𝔯𝔬𝔪 𝔥𝔢𝔯𝔢// @vampirecrack
Once, Sonja had been forced to be mindful of how her every action or interaction would be viewed by others and how it might change the opinion they held about her. But that was many life times ago now, she couldn’t care less what others thought about her. The only opinions that held any sway over the vampiress now were those that belonged to her loved ones. Sonja didn’t care who saw the pair of them together, she’d make life extremely unpleasant for any whom were foolish enough to upset Sookie with a snide comment about the company she kept.
It was a beautiful night, other couples roamed the streets walking hand in hand and leaning into their partners. She hadn’t thought twice about reaching out to take the other woman’s hand in hers and tug her close. People could speculate about her romantic interests all they liked, only a few were rewarded a second glance from the vampiress let alone her affections. No, the blonde beauty at her side was the only one deserving of those.
Tumblr media
“Why would I give a damn if people saw us together or not hmn? If you care if they see...if their talking would make you uncomfortable, then I can let go, if you want. I’m no fool to claim you as mine, but I am yours for as long as you’ll have me.” Sonja brought their joined hands up to her lips, pressing a gentle kiss to the back of Sookie’s hand. She wouldn’t make the same mistakes that Compton or the Northman had made with Sookie, she wouldn’t claim Sookie as hers without her explicit permission. And unlike them she would teach the town to mind their damn manners about voicing their opinions for the company she kept, and not smear Sookie’s reputation any further.
She was persuasive when it suited her, and wouldn’t need to bare her fangs to scare them into behaving. Sonja had many other methods. This was her beloved’s home, no matter how poisonous the townsfolk might be towards Sookie, Sonja knew she’d never want to leave.

“ your eyes stole all my words away. ”
𝔏𝔬𝔰𝔱 𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝔐𝔢𝔪𝔢// @vampirecrack
Sometimes she found it hard to believe that the beautiful little force of nature that was Sookie Stackhouse, who saw all the best and the worst in people on the daily thanks to her gift, had feelings for her. Sonja knew of course that she was beautiful, that her long 'life' had granted her the means to amass a good amount of wealth to life comfortably if you were to pay no heed to her royal origins, but beyond a pretty face and the means to provide she didn't have much to offer. Long gone were the days that her skills with a sword would have been reason enough for most to want her favour.
The beautiful sun-kissed fairie liked her, wanted her, and loved her. Even after the horrors the males of her own kind had subjected her to, leaving her tempted most days to hunt them down and rip them into pieces for making Sookie upset and the reason why the townsfolk of Bon Temps sneered at her little ball of Sunshine when they were sighted together.
Tumblr media
But she couldn't help herself but melt at the sweet flirting the other woman gave. The vampiress reached out, playing with a loose strand of her hair before she gently caressed Sookie's cheek, marvelling over everything she was as she did any time she was permitted to. Women like Sookie deserved to be worshipped, not shunned as the small minded little town wanted to.
"Such beautiful little words, Miss Stackhouse." Sonja purred, "I wonder what other words you might have for me....or if you'd rather I put that mouth of yours to another use."

“   you  want  me  to  punch  him  in  the  face  ??   ”
@nanlanmo//ʜᴜʀᴛ/ᴄᴏᴍꜰᴏʀᴛ
The laugh that burst out of her was almost a bitter mocking thing, the mental image conjured up by the idea of the sweet seeming redheaded vampiress punching the man entertained Sonja immensely. She turned her glare from the man that had the stones to insult her, to look at the other woman with a curious expression. She didn’t know her, and yet here she was, willing to come to blows to defend her honour. How sweet.
Tumblr media
“You’re a sweet thing, but it won’t be necessary to hit him. He is...unworthy of such attention.” Sonja answered after a moment’s hesitation, looking the man over then turning her back on him and dismissed the human entirely from her notice. The paltry insult that had been spat at her feet only moment’s ago were already forgotten by her, her curiosity was focused on the younger vampire instead.
“What makes you come to my defence hmn? Did you want to rescue me perhaps?” A teasing smile is given, there’s no mistaking the sparkle of interest in her emerald eyes. The redhead had Sonja’s attention and curiosity, she’d play only a little with her. “I do appreciate you so bravely coming to my defence, sweetheart, I’m merely curious as to why.”

If she wanted to get free, she easily could have. But there was no denying that she was intrigued by the sudden change of position, her hands held above her head and Sookie pinning her down with her body weight. Sonja growls low in her throat, but not in a threatening manner–more testing the pretty blonde’s reaction before she pounces.
“Well, isn’t this cozy….” The vampiress drawled, then abruptly bucked her hips to dislodge her, “I’m all for a wrestling match, but I don’t want to hurt you by accident Sookie.” Sonja moved to get on her feet, staring down at the other woman in silent challenge. If she wanted to fight or play, that she couldn’t discern.
