The lion is blissfully unaware of the face he's making in his sleep, much less the torture it's causing Dana (who now seems to have a habit of staring at him in his sleep). Only one of his ears twitch as she draws closer, Leona groaning but rolling over at her insistence. He shifts and seems to rouse from his slumber, only to yawn and settle down as his breathing evens out.

Her victory is short-lived. Hardly a moment passes before he starts moving again, trying to get in a comfortable position in his new spot. Much to Dana's dismay, he ends up facing her once more, tail flicking at her as if to make her move away. Luckily her efforts aren't completely wasted as he curls into himself, one gloved hand obscuring his face to shield it from the light of the sun.

At least she didn't have to stare at that ridiculous face anymore. Never mind the fact she didn't NEED to in the first place.

Ethan doesn't often venture near the forge; he rarely ever has a reason to. But his blade's gone dull, and there's a chip in one edge, so he figures he may as well go now, and get himself on the list for weapon repairs. Walking up a bit shyly, he watches the Hephaestus kids work for a few minutes, just hovering by the entrance. They all look so busy, it's hard to imagine interrupting any of them...

The thing with Leo was, well, he could always look busy.

And, hey, before you say anything, it wasn't like he did it purposefully (all the time), okay? It was just that he couldn't stand being still for longer than, say, thirty seconds—so, even if he personally didn't have anything overly important to be doing (him? Blasphemy!), he'd still be picking away at something. Anything. And if that just so happened to dissuade people from bothering him . . . ? Great! (Besides, he was the one who did the bothering around here. Get in line.)

When that Ethan kid stood there by the forge somehow looking more awkward than Leo typically did in any social setting, Leo was tempted to just let one of his siblings take care of it. But some time passed. The awkwardness shot up to an S tier ranking. And eventually, y'know . . . ? Leo kind of felt bad for the guy.

(In, like, a horrible, Aw, dude . . . I've been there and it sucks kind of way.)

He shot up from his seat like he'd been struck by lightning, ran his palms down the front of his pants as he navigated around a few campers to reach the forge's entrance. “Howdy there, Professional Wallflower.” Leo's greeting came with a salute, and he pushed his goggles up to properly address the guy (since, according to some people, it was rude not to). “You know the blade doesn't just fix itself, right? Like, being in proximity to the forge doesn't sprinkle forge-y magic over it and solve all your problems. Methinks���—he craned his neck, trying to get a better look at Ethan's weapon—“you need a hand?”

"Excuse me, I do hope this seat isn't taken." The cheerful velvet of Kaeya's voice eased through the chatter in the Cat's Tail. He offered a grin and brief thanks as he claimed an empty bar stool next to a man clad in all black. A stranger, technically, although Kaeya had his suspicions.

Once settled he flagged over a bartender, striking up easy conversation and ordering a glass of Dandelion Wine. Casual. An ordinary patron here for drinks and socializing. Certainly not here out of curiosity towards the "random" patron he'd sat beside. He was dressed down, forsaking the outer layers of his outfit for only his plain white shirt, and his Vision was hidden out of sight, tucked up inside billowing fabric. Better to keep his cards close to the chest at a time like this.

Kaeya didn't address the other man again. He continued chatting with the bartender as she poured his drink, which he then leisurely sipped as his gaze wandered the night's customers. Only when his eye trailed naturally to the one beside him did Kaeya pause, scrutinizing his features as if he'd just noticed anything peculiar.

"I don't think I've seen you in the Cat's Tail before," he remarked, paired with an easygoing smile. "Are you new to Mondstadt?"

it's curious to see such a thing on another,  only ever seeing it through the hazy reflections of herself,  but ah—  that look.  this look.  that emptiness is ...       ❛   is it because you have no reason to live.   ❜       tone does not even lift to indicate a question,  speaking bluntly.  if their similarities would only continue from there,  then,  it makes sense for him to want to die. and even if you want to live,  do you have the qualifications to do so ?   what does it mean to  “ live ”  in the first place ?   knowing nothing of that,  knowing nothing about what it is to truly be  “ human ”  ...  she supposed it would only make sense.  what other option was there than to just disappear ?

—though,  where her's was an unfeeling resignation,  at least he wants to die.  as morbid a desire as it was,  it was still a desire.  something.  she has nothing at all.       ❛   i don't care about your present.  i don't care about what you want.   ❜       and whatever he's seeking for—  entertainment or a response or whatever.  what did he hope to get when faced with something as lacking as himself ?   it doesn't matter.  if i'm heartless,  then so are you.  she doesn't see a point in stating the obvious;  and just like herself,  surely he understood himself enough to realize that by now. 

lifting up the gun once more,  actions remain undiscernible but hands work to instead disassemble the revolver. her lack of skill in working it does not show through the action,  steady and smooth movements remained as mechanic as ever.  just like a machine.  metallic clinks fill the silence as the bullets are removed,  one by one,  carelessly spilled onto the floor.  there's a pause at the last bullet,  held in dainty digits.  a swift flicker to the other,  as if to gauge his reaction.  would you be disappointed ?   upset ?   any of it would be better than her unfeeling self.  but regardless of his feelings,  instead of joining the others,  the lone bullet would find its place loaded back into the cylinder.  a faint clicking sound following as it is then spun.

taking a seat on the floor,  she doesn't gesture for him to follow suit,  nor does she bother explaining.  only peering upwards with vacant eyes.  when gaze is met,  the item is set in the space between the two.       ❛   we can get one turn each.  whoever shoots first,  where they aim,  it doesn't matter.   ❜       nothing about it really matters,  but—
