Third OC (Original Character): Marko Stjepan Mitrović/Aiarnāro Elnethīnye
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Red Flames danced upon the sea, Where lies an unyielding and fierce soul, Aearnor, his mother-name many knew by.
His eyes were the fury of a thousand suns, Burning brighter with passion and desire, Strides through the cities of the deathless darkness.
He was as more seductive as the harlots, Cunning as the tyrants, fierce as the warriors, And more handsome as many of mortal men.
Black tresses with silvery white streaks, Pale skin he has, adorned with the golden hues Clad in robes of the blood red and pure black.
A Peredhel born with the vampire blood, Light and shadows he belonged in both, He's clever with a mind sharp as a blade.
Fairest of all men, his beauty matched Ganymede's Admired by many, feared by some, His old soul was burned by the fires of resuscitation.
The Shrewdness of ages in his eyes, The passion of man in his heart, And the wholeness of a being in his spirit.
Overview:
Marko Stjepan Mitrović was the youngest twin son of Halatirnë II (Previous OC) by a Human-Vampire Count Šimun Mitrović of Vinkovci and twin brother of Aiardil Alatarāto (Aeardil Galadrod—First OC), the biological son of Lord Hrávahyalmo Altaluimë (Next OC). [Note: Their birth was the result of the real-life rare occurrence called Heteropaternal Superfecundation, which involved the fertilization of two eggs by two sperms from different fathers.] He was the only Peredhel (if not) who had his vampire lineage and the last scion of the last generation of the Mitrović Family since 1999. Marko now appeared in the Elemmírion Series on Wattpad. (Still ongoing)
Description of the artwork: The original form of Aiarnāro/Marko was described as waist-length, raven-haired with silver streaks (Same as his mother Halatirnë II), clad in blood-red robes, his skin was as pale as either alabaster or porcelain. He holds the Elder wand, which was wielded by Albus Dumbledore (Formerly), Lord Voldemort (briefly), and Harry Potter (after the Battle of Hogwarts). The background was supposed to be black and red gradient and a giant red fires/flames behind him.
Names: His name "Marko Stjepan" was the common Ataressë (Father-name) given by his father Šimun. Aiarnāro (Aearnor/Eärnáro) was his rare Amilessë (Mother-name) means "Sea of Fires/Flames" given by Halatirnë II herself, while his epessë (Aftername) was Undómielo "Evenstar", Elnethīnye "Star of the Evening" or Hesperus "Evening Star".
Bloodline: ½ Elda (Telerin);¼ Human; ¼ Vampire

Random headcanon question! List up to ten (or more, why limit yourself?) words that Gabban likes and their definitions/the deeper or hidden meaning they hold for him?
Questions! ( Always Open )
(Ooo! Thank you for sending this in! I had a lot of fun figuring this out!)  Ademán - Movement or gesture of a part of the body that expresses feeling or intent. A word for body language, something he observes very closely.  Alba - The first signs of light just before the sun rises over the horizon. End of another grueling night, the hope that a new day comes and he isn’t damned to an eternal night.  Ambrosia - Food and drink of the gods, served to them by their trusted servants, including Ganymede.  Amor, fidus amor - Love, true love.  Apricus - “sunny”, “full of sunshine”, “warmed by the sun”, he thinks of his siblings as being filled with a light that makes them special/favored. Gabban thinks it’s exactly what he lacks.  Cupiditas - expresses an excessive amount of desire, sometimes related to greed/gluttony, but often used to describe one’s extreme lust or passion.  Ganymede - a name, but these words sometimes ring in Gabban’s head, making him unreasonably angry : “and godlike Ganymede that was born the fairest of mortal men; wherefore the gods caught him up on high to be cupbearer to Zeus by reason of his beauty, that he might dwell with the immortals.”  Limerence - Intense, involuntary attraction to another person that borders on a debilitating obsession. As if possessed. Roman literature didn’t speak much about love as a pleasant emotion, but of being filled with Venus, compelled, as if maddened by her power.  Mellifluus, Mellifluous - “Flowing with honey”, the sound (usually of a voice) that is smooth and full of sweetness. More of a personal association, I think his voice is lovely!!! Penumbra - Twilight, half shadow and half light, something ambiguous and complicated.  Sempiterno - Something with a clear beginning, yet will never end. Explicitly reminds him of falling in love, being able to recall the exact moment he melts and surrenders himself to another person, yet is unable to fathom the end of his ecstasy. Because for him there is no such thing as an end.  Spero - Present verb, to hope, to believe and to fear (if one thinks the worst is soon to come).

𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐘𝐏𝐄 𝐎𝐅 “𝐈 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔” 𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔?
ganymede: “i love you, i've always loved you, i will always love you“
it's commitment, it's devotion, it goes often without saying, but is felt nonetheless. it's accepting that you would travel to hell and back for them if they asked and knowing that they would do the same for you. it's an old ache, long after they've burrowed deep into your chest and settled there like a weight- grounding, an anchor point. even when you're apart, you can still feel the shape of them, it's like phantom pain. neither of you can help but succumb to the other's gravity, yet neither of you fear the collision. it means that you trust them, that they make you feel safe, that they feel like home.

AAM PAGE 11: coming in bold right in the prologue with
first person narration by ganymede
claiming the gods stopped fucking around in the world when the humans stopped sacrificing to them
framing the whole story as ganymede knowing mortals have been saying shit abt whether his life is a big human rights violation or a gay dreamland so uhh let’s clear that up
ganymede promising us to dish the real story and to “give the current crop of good-looking young guys what i hope are a few hints as to how to get themselves a sugar daddy who really counts, rather than settling for whomever comes along.”
i’m QUAKING

AAM PAGE 65: ganymede is Too Hot for safety. his beauty has literally had military consequences now, and so he’s getting hidden among women to try to keep him out of trouble. a gem amongst the description of this: “this same play would be utilized a few centuries later by an enemy of our royal family, when the famed achilles, in order to avoid getting involved in the mess of the greco-trojan war, hid out among his palace women. achilles was also a good-looking guy, with a real doll for a lover, Patroclus, whose death in that war sent the greek hero on a bloodletting spree that lasted for months and decimated troy’s citizenry. still, he ought to have known better than to try an old trick like hiding among women again, especially since he was a grown man when he did it, not a kid like me”
so.. a few things.
sick ref
we love the direct statement of gay achilles/patroclus
i realized reading this i’ve literally never heard this war referred to as the ‘greco-trojan war’ instead of just the ‘trojan war’ and that very default-greek of me :/
what the hell tho are they trying to say abt achilles’ age when hiding on skyros?? boy was absolutely no older than 18 when he went to war. he would be MAX 5 years older than you, ganymede!

AAM PAGE 34: “While all those other folks were saying how scrumptious I looked, I always thought they were missing the point: if I had any real strength it was my cunning.”
,,,,, uh,,,, that’s a swerve on the myth,,,, unless he just thinks he’s cunning. but ch. 3 is called “i match wits with a stranger” so seems like we’re about to be told genuinely that ganymede is Secretly Super Smart and .. not sure where they got THAT hot take...

today’s mood is getting emotional abt ganymede’s feelings for zeus and how complicated they are. genuinely loving him while also feeling like he should hate him for abducting him? trusting him relentlessly while also second guessing that trust and the forced dependence it may spring from?? caring about zeus more than anyone while also wondering if that’s only true because all the intimate mortal relationships he had before zeus are all dead and zeus is the most constant and sturdy thing in his life??? boy wants to just have a sweet wholesome love but he can’t love in a vacuum where bad things didn’t happen!! he wants,,, to Love with his whole heart but that means loving with and accepting the ugly/bad things!! can a truly loving relationship be made out of kidnap? uhhh he really wants to believe it!!!

q&a spotlight: GANYMEDE
( tw: dub-con mention )
Tumblr media
ganymede was born son to tros, and a prince of troy. his beauty was unrivaled among mortals, and could not go unrecognized even by a god. it was while ganymede, a fine youth, tended to his herd on mount ida that zeus caught sight of him, and, utterly lovestruck, transformed into an eagle to swoop down and carry him off. ganymede’s terror abated when he realized that it was the king of the gods that sought him, and that it was to olympus that he had been taken. his lips were directed to zeus’s; his body was directed into seeking hands; his will, directed into submission. he did not refuse. to have enticed a god to desire—! he would look back in centuries to come and wonder if, even then, at the mercy of a god, there was a choice! he allowed zeus everything. this was an act of piety, he told himself. he learned over time, to feel something like love. he now battles between the impulse to adore the king of the gods and the impulse to hate him. though he is not a true god, he is revered as a model of beauty and of homosexual love. having been a mortal once, himself, ganymede takes great interest in the lives and fates of those who invoke his name.
TRAITS
POSITIVE: gentle, affectionate, attentive, doting, eager to please, compassionate NEGATIVE: naive, unperceptive, despondent when hurt or angry, suspicious of sexual desire

😕 Have they ever said ‘I love you’ without meaning it? // for Ganymede
love / sexuality / relationship headcanons
yes. 100% yes. while there was a long amount of time during which he tried to convince himself that he loved zeus, there came after that a period of deep resentment and dislike. he continued to say that he loved zeus because that’s simply what one DOES, and when your lover is a god who’s essentially kidnapped you into godhood that’s really the only option.
after this hateful period, though, came a numbness, and then confusion. he didn’t hate anymore, and still found himself relying fiercely upon zeus’s affection and support. many would call this dependency plainly unhealthy, but without anyone to communicate it to, ganymede could never get the advice to warn him as much, and himself is terribly naive and trusting, despite everything that’s happened to him. so for a few hundred years he’s been in murky water on his feelings. does he love zeus? did he use to love zeus and now does not, or the other way around? and the few people that still remember him at all in the modern world still only tell stories about how beautiful and fun their love is, and are thrilled to have old gods that represent the kinds of queer relationships a new world is hungry for. all he ever hears is how in love they are! talk about gaslighting!
even if only in the respect of “saying it when uncertain it’s true,” ganymede has said “i love you” without meaning it.
