While they were still standing outside of the building, Gambit gave a new glance to the whole area. The pouring rain felt uncomfortable, but he wasn’t in a hurry either, as he wanted to be sure that everything would be secured for the Cleaners. Vàclav seemed far more nervous than he had ever imagined, but after all, it was also a meeting with the local underground business and not some regular fisherman asking for a new place around the docks. Everything that would happen in this building would be illegal, and Gambit had been quite explicit through his polite tone. He nodded though, as he felt as drenched as a cat.
“Yes, please, lead the way.” He offered another of his polite smiles, definitely looking like the most genuine accountant possible. He wasn’t built like a mountain like Kaizen, and didn’t have that punk look like Zodiac. Even if the police would come to inspect the area, he was perfectly able to mislead them, like he had done so many times in the past. He was quick to follow Vàclac inside the building, narrowing his eyes for a second while he was adjusting to the darkness of the place. Of course, he couldn’t be surprised with that kind of place, but he was still quite pleased to see there wasn’t too much work.
“Well, it’s promising.” He said and clipped his briefcase under his arm, pushing his locks right back onto his skull as he began to inspect the area. The warehouse was fitting their need of space for the next deliveries, and it was clean enough for the cops not to investigate too closely. They wouldn’t put a brand on the building, but at least, it wasn’t looking shady or suspicious. He continued to look around, gathering the intel Vàclav told him so he didn’t miss a thing. They would probably need to bribe another import company if they had to put offices in there.
“Yes, I’m very pleased with your hard work.” He nodded and turned around, focused now on Vàclav’s features. He looked slightly less formal than he was just a few minutes ago; perhaps he needed a tour of this area to feel reassured. “We will be able to secure our merchandise with this place, I’m glad we’re doing business together.” He offered a new smile and eventually took a few pictures with his phone, at least to reassure Astra as well.
“Do you know who was the prior owner of this place? Are we sure we can safely sign documents regarding the loan without getting a shady party involved?”
Václav wasn't a fan of the light rain on the weather but he couldn't deny it suited the mood of the office place as he exited the high-rise to head to the car. With only three of his usual guards with him, it was a light happening, discreet in location but paperwork legit and in brown envelopes. He didn't speak to many on his way, but with them arriving at the warehouses, he needed to fill and get someone to pay for a while. He stepped out of his own car with umbrella opened above him, he took the umbrella off his guard to dismiss him back into the vehicle and to park around the back. Furthermore, he'd be in sight but it'll be far enough for business to conclude without watchful souls all the time.
He didn't think this Gambit was dangerous - since the emails and phone calls they've had over the last few weeks had a sense of urgent need. Václav took up his spot after checking his watch and was pleased to know it'll be a few minutes until this person would arrive at the location. His gaze in the meantime took in his land here, the buildings' upkeep was up to per with the laws, rust in some corners but overall in great condition. The last users moved country so they didn't need his land for the end of their shipments being placed elsewhere. Fine for them but it left him with a gap thus - the open spot offered across the grapevine of businesses in need of storage placement.
His attention from staring at the port was broken by the flash of headlights, then the engine dying out with the opening of a door. Listening to the morning drizzle was a lulling time, but with a few blinks and turning on the spot, he faced the figure heading towards him. Gloved digits squeezed out a nervousness in his pocket before it retreated to be offered in reflex to them. "Indeed - but still refreshing at this hour. Do you need an umbrella?" He asked with a polite tone, thick with his mother tongue's twang but it matched what was on the phone so he wasn't anyone else today. "Pleasure's mine. Gambit." The shake of hands was a polite one, firm but with a good hold - not limp wrist even this early in the morning.
"If you'd like to follow me, I'll show you the inside." Václav didn't hesitate upon walking towards the opening - it's larger doors were chained shut, but the personal access door was to its right, metal and with two locks. Manual and electronic. He had both keys on him, a master key to override both, before stepping aside to let Gambit inside first to get out of the rain. He needed a moment to close his umbrella and leave it in a metal bin before he was back at Gambit's side. The orange headlights above gave the warehouse a warm look, but not a stuffy one due to the sheer size of the inside.
Václav let Gambit have that moment to look at the openness himself before adjusting his blaze button and checking his watch to begin. "This is the middle size Warehouse requested in your last email. One hundred and Forty-five thousand square feet. That not including the footage of zoned areas, your offices and bathrooms." Though they were already in place, since he motioned towards a mezzanine set up in three areas and under them - rested simple office places with singular windows facing the floor and main door. "The offices here are able to move if they aren't where you desire them. The bathrooms are fixed however due to piping. You'll have four sets of bathrooms in every corner of the warehouse." Those were again small and simple, but full plumbing because he wasn't having any porter potty shit in his lane.
Václav turned his eyes back to Gambit, hoping it was an air of approval for this place - though he wasn't sure what they were going to be storing here, it seemed to be pretty big and plentiful. By both sea and road, Václav motioned to the door they just entered from, but more so the larger door that could be rolled upwards. "Road loading zone has fast access, but depending on the size of your cargo, it'll be worth using it as a safety net to bring the items through to then unload within the warehouse. The back and left entrances are best of sea delivery - they both has access to the port itself." It was ten times more efficient just docking a ship in the space provided and emptying it in one swell swoop with crane and fork lifts.
For now though, Václav left it at that - the major areas of the warehouse were in the details of his envelope, but this was after all a verbal confirmation with a visual upon the property in limbo. "Hope it meets your expectations, Gambit."
