Wren lowers herself to a crouch in front of the girl, in a slow, gentle manner. It’s hard to pinpoint her age; she looks like she could be over eighteen, but something in her demeanour makes her seem much younger, much more innocent... regardless of the words she’s speaking.

❝ That’s kind of you, but I’m pretty good at looking after myself. Got a whole team to back me up, as well, ❞    she tells the girl, softly.    ❝ Now, are you hurt? Would you mind if did a quick medical scan, with my omnitool? ❞    They’re on the lower wards of the Citadel, in an alleyway, far from the usual commerce. It’s dangerous, here.

Technically she’s with Cerberus, but she is never going to say that;  she’s never going to be with Cerberus  in any way of aligning with their values. Her Spectre status has been reinstated, so she could lead with that, but with a fellow human... Alliance seems like it could inspire more confidence. & it’s not untrue completely, either; while she’s not operating on an Alliance ship at the moment, Admiral Hackett keeps forwarding work for her, and that has to count for something.    ❝ Can you tell me your name? ❞    What she wants to inquire is who is afraid of this girl, and why.
