idol!cait would become more known for her dance skills, capturing everyone's attention from how effortlessly she's able to move the length of her body with such ease. whenever the group gets new choreo she spends hours a day in the studio perfecting the moves. and throughout the years she's tried her hand at choreography, and found a knack for it! and because of this she uses her ability to grasp moves quickly onto you, gravitating towards you when she notices you're having trouble nailing certain moves. silently correcting anything in your form that could be hindering you ability or showing you how the move should be done herself; to then step aside, a signal to tell you to do the move in front of her, gaining a nod of approval and praise "very good." or often times she'll keep correcting you, minuscule things just so she can keep maneuvering your body for you, invading your space while doing so.

although it’s very little, I see it as extremely telling about Annie’s character. she’s clearly smart, she’s very aware that she has almost no sway over these people but Finnick does, so she’s going to use his name to get her point across. she’s able to clearly and effectively communicate. that’s huge, because there’s a ton of fanworks out there that make it where that’s not the case, and while sometimes that might be true, canonically she is able to express herself well in an extremely stressful and high stakes situation. I think it shows she’s pretty fearless, because all the victors have got to be terrified of any president, and she has no problem speaking her mind and disagreeing openly with Coin. she’s also clearly got some ability to be manipulative, see above point about using Finnick’s name.

I think overall she’s probably woefully underestimated by everyone around her just based on Katniss’s perception of her, contrasting with the way she actually acts in that passage. and being that underestimated all the time, it seriously does a number on your psyche. so knowing all of the above, the fact that she is warring with people not seeing her for who she is, and that she experiences psychosis, that’s what I base her characterization on. it’s probably 75 percent those two lines.

(also please don’t feel bad I’m just absolutely unhinged that those lines live in my mind and I was almost immediately able to flip to them smh. but a reread is always fun!)

Tips for jealousy? I'm monogamous and the thought of my spouse being attracted to others makes me feel physically ill. Please don't be mean. I'm really struggling. I feel like I have ptsd. I need help. I don't know how to get through this. I don't think I can afford therapy. I discovered they watch porn and follow a lot of sex workers and they admitted they are attracted to many others. I had no idea. We've been together a long time. I don't want to leave them but I also don't know if I can stay if I can't stop feeling this way. I feel so bad all the time. It's been months and I'm not getting any better mentally. I'm crying all the time. I get triggered all the time when I see certain things. I don't know what to do. I love them and believe they love me. But I just can't seem to get over this.

Hey friend. It sounds like you're really struggling. Much more than what I would consider normal even for someone who is strictly monogamous. I'm really sorry it's so much for you🫂.

I'm no doctor, but that sounds like there might be a LOT of really unwarranted anxiety. If therapy isn't an option (though you should look around for places with sliding scale fees), maybe you could talk to a doctor about medication? Those are usually cheaper, and I do think you need more help than I can give.

In the meantime, here's what I can do:

I want to emphasize that your partner probably thinks nothing of being attracted to others. It is normal and involuntary. It probably didn't even occur to them it might not feel great to you until you said something. There is no betrayal in their heart, and it in no way diminishes their love for you.

While it may be reasonable to ask for certain accommodations here, it sounds like even the thought that your spouse could be attracted to anyone else is devastating for you. And they are actually, physiologically incapable of changing that. They can not mention it to you, if that would help (Give real thought to if it would, and if the answer is yes, ask it of your spouse immediately). They might be willing to cut back on how many sex workers they follow, if that would help. But they cannot promise to only have eyes for you, even if they wanted to. So this will require a lot of work on your part no matter how you slice it. It will likely continue to cause you discomfort for years to come, and because it is so normal and involuntary, I think you will have a hard time finding anyone who NEVER is attracted to anyone else, if you even do leave your spouse over it.

I have had the most progress when I have been able to really sit with my feelings, and get down to root worries. I think this worksheet does a great job breaking down how to do this with jealousy and insecurity. I highly recommend you sit down with it, with a pen and paper, and commit a 🕐lot🕑 of🕟 time🕕 to it, in multiple sessions.

That should give you a good starting point, but it will take a lot of applying that worksheet to your daily life. It will take time. It take consistency from you. It will be hard. But I believe you can do it, and find a way forward that works for you. Buckle down, sending you all the luck I can. 🍀🧧
