Emmett waited patiently as Dylan took his time to process everything he had just said. After all, it was a lot and he wouldn’t have been surprised if the other wasn’t going to make any decisions on the spot and needed few more days to think on it. He knew he would. Which was why he was a bit surprised when Dylan pulled him in for a kiss but he decided not to overthink it in the moment. “Dylan,” he paused once he pulled back. “I suppose your stubborn ass won’t take no for an answer,” he teased before reaching his arm around Dylan and pulled him against him. “We can take it slowly, it’s not like I’m going to make you babysit or step into the daddy role,” he pressed a kiss to Dylan’s temple. “And I’m certainly not letting you take her to her baby ballet classes. I’m too jealous for this and mums there will devour you in seconds,” he teased.

“My stubborn ass is not going to no,” Dylan repeated, smiling when Emmett pulled him against him. “And you’re taking me to Spain in a few weeks, so I’ll break up with you after.” He smirked, leaning against the kiss to his head. Dylan turned so he was facing his boyfriend more and reached up to loosen his tie as he spoke. “I know you’re not going to push me into anything, babe, it’s fine.” He used his hold on Emmett’s tie to gently tug him forward. “But if you wanted to step into the Daddy role, I wouldn’t say no,” he said with another smirk, leaning in to press a kiss to his lips. When he pulled back, he continued, “I’ll go get my dog from my sister so she doesn’t start asking questions and I’ll come back around dinner. If she’s awake, you can introduce us.” Dylan smiled, pressing another kiss to his lips.

Poppy was, in fact, awake by dinner. After getting used to him, Poppy didn’t seem to mind at all that her dad had another guest for the night. Particularly the fluffy one Dylan brought with him. Dylan was sitting on the living room floor while Emmett cleaned up. Poppy was with him, shrieking with laughter as Marshmallow apparently did everything in her power to get the giggles out of her. Dylan reached out to put his arm around her so she wouldn’t flip off his lap. “Careful.” He smirked when Marshie put her head on his lap and Poppy gently grabbed fistfuls of hair, burying her head on her. Dylan glanced up at Emmett. “Heart eyes, much?”

sunny loves breakfast, especially when she can find fruit that hasn't been already taken by the pesky rabbits that hop through her garden without much care for anything else. she doesn't blame them. they are free to not understand private property, just as humans are free to be servants to capitalism. she finds a good deal of strawberries, happy with the large garden boxes she's been keeping and also the onions she plants adjacent to the berries to deter unwanted thieves.

usually her mornings are like this when she's not at the flower shop, she walks through her garden and finds the produce that is ripe enough to pick. she decides on pancakes with bacon and strawberries on the side, an american breakfast that is sure to wake up her cousin from the dead of his sleep.

she begins putting together the ingredients in a bowl and placing them on a hot griddle, waiting for the bubbles to form throughout the pancakes before flipping them. she begins stacking them on a plate before finding a few joints that she had rolled the night earlier, lighting one with the flame from her stove. surely if the pancakes weren't enough to wake dylan, the sweet aroma of her weed would.
