at the moment i am reading How to succeed in dark wizardry (without really trying) and is focused on Ron.

and I realized how harmful Weasley bashing is. like I'm reading here and Ron's family is super nice and supportive of him, but I always keep remembering other fics where everyone is shit. how did this hatred towards the Weasleys start and why did it start? was it really the easiest way to switch ships? because this clearly exists to facilitate the relationship of other characters, for example villainizing Ron is simpler than simply making him accept Hermione's relationship with Draco.

and the harry potter/marauders fandom loves to hate characters, like the excessive hatred for Snape but the inexplicable love for Barty. then it becomes much easier to write bashing characters.

I AM GETTING EXCITED ABOUT SOMETHING OKAY SO prior 1) Miquella did have insectoid wings in that image of Mohg carrying him 2) this feature is also connected with Malenia, especially her Knights growing insectoid wings too 3) Malenia and Miquella, sefcest children of Marika and Radagon, are also both connected with butterflies (+ Melina and Messmer maybe too?) 4) Scarlet Rot is not actually about butterflies, it is primarily mushrooms and flowers, and insects within it are crawling kind, and again Miquella, so likely it is something to do with Marika or Radagon? 5) Miquella's hypnosis spell also has butterflies particles AND NOW ALSO:

6) there ARE people infected with insectoid wings and stuff in Shadows land, in the place we fought Lion Dancer at, I haven't accessed it yet but according to Leda and that ghost Miquella is there somewhere? Also a village not too far away 7) Shadows land is the place where Marika first set foot and where something something gold was born

If there is more info later don't tell me yet, but yes I wonder if in DLC we might finally get the answer/lore on the roots of this "butterfly blood" that Malenia and Miquella have!
