     “Hey, do you mind waiting a minute? I left my stuff in the classroom.”

     Despite it being past February, it was still cold outside. He couldn’t imagine it would be warm for the female students to wear those skirts in this weather. It wasn’t hailing, but it wasn’t sunny either. The clouds weighed heavily against the sky, and he was sure it was going to rain sometime today, despite what the weather forecast predicted. 

    He checked his bag, making sure it was in there, when a bike had bumped into him, shoving him off to the side. The palms of his hands bore slight scrapes, but he was in one piece. His clothes and his bag were a bit dusty, and he pushed himself to stand, patting it all away. He barely heard the curses sent his way for ‘blocking’ the biker’s way.

    How incredibly rude, but it was just another day.

STUDENTS

NAME: Mallow Rosid

AGE: 16

YEAR: Second

CLUBS: Vice-President of Cooking/Baking, Gardening, Cheerleading

STRENGTHS: English (mainly literature), Physical Education, Home Economics, Music.

Personality-wise, she’s very bubbly and friendly, easy to befriend, but also a bit of a try-hard. She’s definitely a hands-on learner and prefers to think with her body more than her mind, so subjects that are based on memorisation or facts are things Mallow struggle with, aside from English, where she enjoys it because of it being more a creative outlet for her. Mallow enjoys writing her own stories, so also enjoys dissecting other’s stories to learn more in the ways of writing.

WEAKNESSES: Sciences, Maths, History.

Personality-wise, Mallow’s a bit too passionate and energetic at times, and takes her duties a bit overly-serious. As I said before, she’s more a hands-on learner, so subjects like maths, sciences or humanities are things she can’t find enjoyment in, so doesn’t really bother trying in; scraping a pass in them will do her just fine.

ADDITIONAL INFO:

Despite being told that she’s a capable learner and could do well at a higher educational level, she doesn’t intend to go to University; instead wishing to open up her own restaurant with her own skills.

When she started attending DexHigh she had her eyes set on being the President of the Cooking Club, however Darce ( @shvrker) was already the president, so she had to settle for second-best; vice-president. Ever since, Mallow see’s him as her rival (in a friendly way tho) in the club, and as a result, she tends to challenge the male to cook-offs over who gets to be the new president.

     one would think that after going to one school, every school would be about the same. not this one, apparently, he thought, eyeing the body of what he assumed was a student, lying on the middle of the floor. he probably was awake and aware of what he was doing. other students seem to walk around him, not minding it as a normal occurrence, further gauging the boy’s interest. 

     ‘ you’re going to get stepped on, ’ he remarked, stopping right before stepping on him. ‘ waiting for someone? ’

Name: Himeko “Blue” Silph Souma

Age: 17

Year: Third

Clubs: Going Home Club

Strengths: Despite her carefree attitude when it comes to academics, she excels in Sciences like Biology and Chemistry—but that’s about it. She is surprisingly strong in social sciences such as Economics and Politics and often scores high in History.

Weaknesses: Arts—dancing, singing, drawing. She just cannot seem to get the hang of it. She has the voice and the gracefulness, but she sees no reason for things like singing and dancing, viewing them as wastes of energy. She draws a lot, but it’s no good. She also is no good with numbers, her maths scores are always just enough to pass.

Additional Info: One of the notorious students in Dex High, she entered her first year late with a fake surname—Souma, being the surname of one of the actresses she used to watch. Her educational background is vague, considering she was homeschooled .She is not at all interested in academics and is only attending because Red and Green are (and because when she mentioned the idea to her parents, they have hurriedly submitted an application and a huge amount of donation money so why not take advantage of the situation?).

She acts like the Queen Bee, especially now that she is in her third year.

     “Don’t remind me... I’ll get it done tonight. What was it on again? Something historical, right?” she paused for a moment to think. But instead ended up shrugging it all off. “I’ll manage okay.”

    ‘ I understand you’re quite talented in other subjects, but it is essential to learn more than simply that. ’ There was a sigh to the end of his words. As plain as it may have appeared in writing, his slight accent made it less serious than it needed. He tugged at his hat, mildly nervous, recalling what one of his teachers had encouraged. A star player needed to get all around good grades, not only in handful of subjects. ‘ That is, what I’m offering is an opportunity to tutor you. ’

((@soundislandtrainer)) "Oh-oh no..." Aria muttered, looking down at her bag, "I- I forgot my lunch." She didn't mean for anyone to overhear - Aria hadn't met anyone yet, and didn't want to cause anyone any trouble, physical or mental.

     Attention was caught when Mallow noticed a girl in a panic. And ears perked up when she heard that she’d forgotten her food. How disastrous… The teen was quick to approach the little girl, a smile across her face when she greeted her. “Hey!” she chimed, putting a reassuring hand on the girl’s shoulder. “You want me to get you something?”

     A grimace was on her face as she quickly snatched her paper from the table and hid it behind her back. Physics was possibly her weakest subject. Then again, she could never tell; both it and maths were the same thing to her. Mallow hadn’t checked the actual number on her paper, but judging by the sheer number of crosses she saw when she glanced at it, it wasn’t good “You uh… you go first.”

    as nice as it was to live and grow slowly more and more accustomed to a new land, it was also nice to hear a familiar language. the class itself provided him little in terms of academic advancement. it was one he’d already known intimately, even with the little refreshers here and there, but it was interesting watching others struggle with the tongue. it was a breath of fresh air from the time when he first began utilizing the common tongue, struggling with certain words himself. his accent was far thicker then.

    it was some sort of coincidence to have bumped into someone intimately familiar with the language outside of school. the lanky figure was easily recognized by the teen, and he moved a little closer, shuffling his bag to the other arm, tilting his cap slightly once he’d earned the other’s attention.  

     ‘ good afternoon, monsieur leroy. ’

     he always wondered about the quiet figure that supervised the chess club. the boy didn’t look any older than the rest of them (to him at least), but he held a different sort of air about him, the kind that told that he had plenty of experience yet... it was languid. it was a tired, almost lazy air about him, and calme found it suited him quite well, oddly enough.

    ‘ hey! it’s your turn! ’

    he blinked at the hand waving in front of him, shaking his head slightly. ‘ right, ’ he was in the middle of a game. one piece was moved to just the right spot and his turn was over once more. the girl he was playing against huffed at the minimalist response. ( or maybe it was the fact he’d taken more than half of her pieces already and he was just toying with her at this point. )

     the girl placed her move quickly once more, bringing calme to sigh. it was a terrible mistake. he could already see five different ways he could get a checkmate from their attempts. maybe he should end it now or offer some advice?
