downpour headcanons + designs :)

Note for pronouns listed: These are just my HCs, use whatever you prefer or see fit. :)

Gourmand: She/He/They Full of love and oh so happy with life. Simply went out into the world for FUN and to learn more, why not? Respected and highly regarded at the Home Tree as one of the smartest slugcats around. Coming up with ways to make meals more filling is always important with so many slugcats! Gourmand returns with many regions mapped out, and thus gives way to more slugcats to explore as groups and create homes for themselves. Teaches about the taming of lizards, and to take care when doing so. What was an incredible enemy can make a greater ally. All around a very positive, happy-go-lucky slug to me.

Artificer: She/Her I wanted her to design to be .. fire-esque with the markings like flames in a way. Obviously very troubled, so incredibly lonely because of it as well. She's afraid of connections, what if the past repeats? It would hurt too much. That SAID.. she will find her way to Outer Expanse and be welcomed with open arms. Prior, I think she was apart of a small nomadic family of slugcats so the Home Tree is something else entirely new. Arti could, in this scenario, take on the role of a community mother in a way. There's still fear of the past coming back in new ways, but in this she begins to open up more and becomes adoptive mother to slugpups whose parents have been lost in some form. I just think!! She deserves the world!!! She gets to relax. No more Situations.

Rivulet: She/He/They Somewhat based on how some aquatic animals have a whiter tummy to blend in to creatures below them in the water, and a darker upper body to camouflage to those looking down in the water. (A bit difficult with all the pink, I wanted to keep that on her though..) Very kind :) she loves to bring gifts to Moon, and periodically pays visits to 5P for as long as he still lives. I like to think they also lived with Moon until they passed themselves. Spent a ton of time listening to Moon reading the pearls he found out in the world, and exchanging stories (perhaps via writing..??) that they both have. Softanthiel still hangs around, primarily used as a way to gauge the danger of potential threats to the tree.

Spearmaster: It/They/He Definitely Looks like a slugcat but with something Wrong (on the wrong blueprints in a way). It is taller and longer than the average slugcat. Leaning more into the bodyshape it has in game (bowling pin looking ass) I’d say it has a harder time retaining fat through a liquid diet and constant movement as a messenger. Built quite sleek, I’d picture it with an agility somewhere between Artificer and Rivulet. Spearmaster has nasty little "spots" on his tail so why not give him little freckles too? SRS did not give SM a mouth, so, to me I think that he would be taught sign language. ASL (Ancient Sign Language) would no doubt be something stored and memorized on various pearls. Given its time around an Iterator it would also know how to read/write in the Ancient's language. I feel like they'd be quite a bit lonely.

Saint: They/He To me, they are a distant descendant of Monk. Their fur is very soft, almost like downy feathers in a way. Absolutely vital to their survival in the now frigid wasteland. Keen to grooming themself like a cat would! The echoes are old friends, a familiar warmth. Seeing them is like visiting family, of which Saint no longer has now. Definitely nomadic, never stays in a den for longer than three cycles. Lanterns are tucked into fur for ease of travelling with free hands. :) He's round and spotted because I love him so much!!

You wanna know what I find interesting? SRS knew that NSH dealt with sending private messages via slugcat modification, and took inspiration from him to make Spearmaster to send a message to 5P.

However, where NSH makes temporary messengers(aka like Hunter), SRS made Spearmaster with the goal of making a strong messenger that could deliver the message, and make it back.

SRS got attached to his little messenger, and while the situation with 5P is the main thing on his mind, I absolutely think that when Spearmaster became visibly weakened and vulnerable, SRS was going full panic mode in his can.

Also because I can i hc he named Spearmaster after that whole ordeal when they came back, like how Moon names the Rivulet.

The Watcher DLC - Personal Dissection

[SPOILERS AHEAD IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED BASE GAME/DLC] Oh goodness me, Videocult has decided to drop a nuke on my already rotted brain due to this game and now I shall dissect this yummy meal bit by bit like the picky eater I am (in a good way this time though). And yall are coming with me because I said so. Really, this is just a great place for me to get my thoughts in order... cough. A lot of this is speculation! If I can find anything confirmed, I will try and write about it when I can.

Steam DLC Description

Let's start with the obvious- this basically confirms new creatures, regions, etc. This place seems to be in a completely different area than both the base game and Downpour slugcats, with new creatures to boot. I will go over the revealed regions/screenshots in more detail further down.

The descriptions states "the world beneath your feet cracks and crumbles", and while this could be linked to the Void Sea, the thumbnail art and font for the DLC's steam page and trailer depicts the Rot, and I am doubtful such an obvious detail would be thrown in there without it being present. Rot is only present where iterators are, and the only iterator we know of (in detail) to have the Rot is Five Pebbles, who got it by trying to rewrite himself. SRS gave him the pearl, but whoever wrote it is unknown, and I am highly doubtful it is 5P or SRS where this slugcat takes place in. It could be a pre-existing iterator like NSH/SOS (doubtful, but i suppose NSH would explain how Hunter got the rot if that is canon), a new one that also read the information that 5P and SRS did, or maybe even the one that originally wrote it that failed the experiment themself. This is a lot of speculation though and we will only really know for sure when more information is revealed. Take all of this with a grain of salt! I am just rambling possibilities.

New Regions

New regions are seen via screenshots on the DLC's Steam page. I will be attaching the screenshots here as well as what I speculate on what they may be/entail.

Starting with these two regions here, as it seems to match the most with the thumbnail art. At first I thought it was the foggy region below, but upon closer inspection this wall-like region incorporates more blue colors, fog/clouds are present, and would make the most sense for the rot to be present if this is indeed an iterator's wall.

This region looks reminiscent of 5P Memory Crypts, only in daylight. Whether this region serves a similar purpose to ancients is unknown. I considered the possibility of it being in a similar placement like 5P, but I am unsure if that would make sense due to the fact that 5P's shaded citadel is underneath his superstructure- hence why it is so dark in that region- when it clearly isn't here. (It could be completely separate from and not relating anything to Shaded Citadel entirely though!)

Mysterious looking underground region filled with green water. It's water guys. It better be water. Please no more acid, I'm begging.

This area immediately made me think of Spearmaster's start of their campaign, or it could be something reminiscent to Moon's Submerged Superstructure. Drainage System/Undergrowth also comes to mind.

Two desert-like regions are depicted here! While some speculation on the region on the right is it being a snow biome- I personally believe that this may be in face a dust/sand storm. Dust storms were planned during Metropolis' development in Downpour, but were scrapped in favor for the day/night cycle instead. Additionally, the snow particles present in Saint's campaign look drastically different compared to what is shown here. Additionally, there is Developer Commentary that talks about these dust storms for Metropolis. The dust storm effect looks different compared to what is shown, but it could have been possibly reworked to suit the region's look. Who knows though! Could just indeed be snow- but the entire area for this campaign looks to be generally warmer.

This region looks reminiscent to Sky Islands from 5P. Something to note is the lack of nearby iterator cities. This could mean two things: this campaign takes place far into the future, with surrounding iterators having already collapsed. Or...

It could be located on an desert island, right next to an ocean. Where all the water could have gone from this area will honestly be up to speculation until more information presents itself- however the seemingly coral-like structure to this region seems to point to this. It would also explain the lack of visible iterator cities in the background of the previous mentioned Sky Islands reminiscent region.

Additionally in one of the thumbnails for the DLC, water is present below the slugcat. (Then again, rain/water is present for all of em besides Saint eh?)

Additional Notes

An echo-like effect is seen around the slugcat in the previously mentioned thumbnail, as well as in the ripples in the water around it

Oh my! this is gonna be a long answer!

My head cannons really depend on the AU, So I do hope you don't mind reading, I'm just gonna do the AU I'm working on now! (+Only slugcats for now)

A Journey ahead AU:

Survivor (16) is the older sibling of Monk (10), they both got separated from their colony and then from each other. They never knew their true parents as they were found and raised by gourmand a long with a lot of other slug-pups that were not related with gourmand. Survivor was found my Artificer when they reached Five Pebbles (5p) and was shown how to fight by her and practically adopted by Arti and Inv. Survivor then ended up finding Monk when Hunter came to visit Artificer and brought Monk along which he found a few weeks before hand. Survivor and Monk found their way back to the slug tree to only find no one there and now live there alone. Survivor also has learned how to grow his own food and takes care of Monk technically alone. He HATES cussing, will wash his own mouth out if HE cusses. He does end up dating Rivulet later on.

Monk used to be friends with everything, or tried to be, but one time she tried to befriend a lizard and it tried killing her, and how of fear and instincts she attacked it and killed it, making her realize she can't be friends with everything and everyone. Hunter found her and she almost attacked him, but with giving food and taking care of her for a few days she grew to trust him. Following him to 5p to meet Artificer she reunited with her brother and they went back to the slug tree. She does not really remember anything about gourmand or the rest of the old colony, she doesn't really care either.

Hunter and Spearmaster are of course iterator made slugcats. Hunter made by NSH and Spearmaster by SRS. They both end up falling in love and getting together until Hunter goes rot mode and loses his ability to think for himself and loses all control of life.

Hunter is a normally chill guy, but for fun and if he doesn't have anything to do he will go and find other slugcats, mainly female, and... you know, to only leave them, who knows how many pups he has out there. He doesn't realize his wrong doing until Artificer talks to him, and starts to help him change, for multiple different reasons other then just the... uh things mentioned earlier. Hunter then slowly starts to realize himself more and comes out and trans fem and starts to date Spearmaster. He called Monk little Lemon and monk thinks of him as a dad type figure. He is the mentor for Monk.

Spearmaster doesn't really have a gender of course, but do go by they/them and doesn't mind he/him. He started dating Hunter after realizing he has truly changed. After hunter becomes rot Spearmaster visits him every day and sometimes brings him stuff, even though rot hunter does normally just consume them. Spearmaster is friends with Artificer and sometimes even gets a slight feeling of knowing her in the past.

Artificer's story is literally the same, but after defeating the scav king she takes the role of scav queen and starts to become softer. while venturing garbage wastes, hoping to maybe find any trace of her past pups, she find Inv and takes care of him. After a bit they get together and start a family together, having around five pups, non of them biologically Artificers as they came from Inv's egg things.

Blue pup (Marbles) was able to survive the spear hit, being taken care of and healed by a kind scav mother who had two kids of her own. They were raised with these scav pups and by this scav mother until one day everyone disappeared. Not a trace of the scavengers were around. Marbles then started to venture on their own, later on finding her sibling and rivulet and then reuniting with their mother. In the end they do end up leaving anyways and starting their own family in the future.

Green pup (Seaglass) is the sibling of Marbles, they are non-binary. Seaglass was able to survive being drowned by the leeches because of a current pipe that took them away. They ended up getting to a dried off land area in the piping systems, right before the rain was about to start. The pup version of Rivulet ends up finding them and drags their unconscious body to a den and saving them. They end up raising themselves together and clarifying each other as siblings. One day while Seaglass was getting some fruit, a green thing snatched them and took them far away from Rivulet, this was Saint. Saint threatened them, trained them, and taught them the ways of the Ancients and the Echoes, making them a little Saint. Seaglass was then forced to get full karma and right before being forced to ascend Rivulet found them and pushed Saint down into Rubicon, making him the Echo he is now. Rivulet and Seaglass find Marbles and soon end up finding Artificer as well. Just like Marbles, Seaglass also leaves to start their own life while Rivulet goes with survivor and monk back to the slug tree.

Gourmand is a old guy who would take care of any pups he found on his adventures and take them back to the slug tree with him. He took care of survivor, monk, and my nightcat. When Survivor and Monk got separated gourmand did try to look for them with no luck and ended up leaving them behind. They went to a area that I call "The Otherside"

And they settled there. Only after a few days they got attacked and almost all the pups ended up dead. Gourmand found the last two together hiding under some fallen rocks and started taking care of them again, taking them away from the area. He now only wanders and never settles in a specific area.

Bubble (Green pup) was found alone and a newborn in a den alone, he was taken care of by the entire colony and made friends easily. He does not remember or care for where his actual parents are or who they are. Bubble ends up clarifying Daffy as their sibling once they got attacked at the New Camp and gourmand finds them alone. Bubbles favorite food is Bubble fruit.

Daffodil [Daffy] (Purple pup) was found in a lizard den, really hurt and almost dead. Gourmand killed the lizards that tried eating them and took them back to the slug tree where they were nursed back to health. Daffy is a nervous pup and didn't make friends easily, but Bubble somehow was able to break their bubble! When they got attacked Daffy refused to leave Bubbles side and was really attached, scared to be left alone. Their favorite food is baby centipedes surprisingly but they are too scared to eat them alive.

Rivulet was left alone as a child and doesn't remember his parents. He found and helped Seaglass back to health in the piping systems. after Seaglass disappeared they instantly went looking for them, sometimes going into the end of the cycle. When they finally found Seaglass and Saint they had so much built up sadness and rage that they threw Saint into Rubicon and made him become a Echo technically. Seaglass and Rivulet are both now terrified of Saint coming back and fear to even say his name. WAY later in the future Saint finds Rivulet and takes him hostage, doing the same treatments Saint did to Seaglass. Rivulet ends up being forced to Ascend and ends up succeeding. No one ends up finding out what happened to Rivulet, but Rivulet does end up having a child with survivor before this though.

Saint has an unknown origin, no one can get him to talk to them unless it's for teachings, he was not created by SS, he just killed them like how he does with Moon and Pebbles. He always has had his ascension powers. He ends up becoming an Echo when Rivulet pushes him into Rubicon and then he comes back, to continue his plans.

Deep inhale.. Ragequit vore. I think NSH needs to eat that twink maybe that would fix him. Just being snug in NSH's stomach nice and warm and safe.... agh and his tummy being all bloated from eating 5P, especially cause they're both short guys to me maybe 5P being a little taller... so they're like the same size. Plus NSH is already sorta chubby in my mind so even more reason for big tummy. I bet NSH rubbing his own stomach after that would be suuuper relaxing for them both too and and and.

I think I hauve covid...... Vore fans rise up one of us has gotta make this happen. Maybe I will by the time this is posted or like someday after it. Maybe I won't. IDK but either way don't let that stop you from making it happen too, AO3 anon posting is the savior for all us freaks who don't want to be known.

My costume submissions for pansear-doodles halloween contest!

@pansear-doodles made a contest some time ago and since its over now i wanted to post my submissions and talk a lil abt them

Artificer

This is a costume of arti as Artemis from Hades. I love goddess Artemis and i thought it fitted arti pretty well, as well as hunter tho i had a different idea for them. I wanted to experiment a bit with maybe just being inspired by the Hades version, with some sort of creature bone/skull mask/helmet, as well as adding a bit more flare. I love Hades god designs, but Artemis was always my least fave ngl. tho i wasn't able to experiment much and stuck around to the Hades version due to time and not having many good ideas.

Enot

Im so glad the Once-ler Enot got through and the other shown costume ideas i love em so much. I love joke characters, but i'm clearly isn't the best at designing them heh. This is gamer Enot with all the cringe gamer merch, dressed up as their computer having an LED gamer keyboard and mouse. Maybe now looking at it i should have added maybe some consol (tho they struck me as a religious pc gamer) or some LOL or other popular game merch to sell the gamer look. Maybe also add some doritos and mountain dew.

I for the longest time could not decide, if i wanted to put gourm as dt asgore or ut asgore. Because it had to be asgore no questions asked, i mean look at the guy! I choose ut cause the way asgore is treated in dt just kill me internally. Also ut asgore family is much more functional. For the pups I wanted them to look like they’ve been face painted. Idk if chara and asriel really work for their personality, but i didnt really have any other idea with them. Also the one as asriel could’ve brought those like galaxy swords and some cool stuff from asriel dreemurr fight.

Also i wanted the drawing to resemble those monarch painted family portraits, so that’s why this style.

Hunter

I didnt have any good ideas for hunter, until i was scrolling through my reblogs and saw puss in boots the last wish fanart. It worked so well with the hunter's personality i had to!

Iterators (matching set)

It was so hard to have a good idea for those 4, because tere were 4 of them. You have so many trios everywhere, but 4 gang nahhh. I thought at first to dress them as their slugs u know a classic really, but too basic for me i knew someone would submit that. Maybe cult of the lamb bishops not a bad idea either tbh, but something didn't vibe right. So

yeaahhhhhhh i did have any better idea for a 4 gang and fnaf franchise was the only thing coming to my mind that vibed with me. But then i was scrolling through my alt for reblogs and i saw inscyption fanart i reblogged at some point, and i had that moment: NEURONS ACTIVATE, and decided to not be cringe and make them into scribes ighodghgdoa. I had i lil moment wondering between srs and nsh and leshy and magnificus, but it was quickly resolved by pushing nsh into a bush. and 5p as po3 and lttm as grimora was a no brainer.

i dont know why i thought this was a good idea, but i vibed with it. I thought to make them a Julius Caesar from asterix and obelix comics.

Monk and the lizards

Monk was always supposed to be a pokemon trainer. It works so well with them. At first i thought to give them Reds outfit, but then i decided to make them an N, a character from Black and White. His closeness and kindness to his pokemon, tie well with monk and their lizards.

Lizards are painted as spindas. i thought abt giving each individual pokemon, but i also wanted to make it quick and easy for the comics, so spindas! infinite patterns for an infinite amount of friends.

Survivor and Nightcat 9matching outfits)

Okay so this reference is like really obscure. It's the main characters from the movie Mune: guardian of the moon. I think i watched it only one time, long ago, i think the plot is really basic, but the lore and the art from it is great. it's one of those: if it was 2d it would’ve been so beautiful.

Big big thanks to @kociamieta, because i really could decide where i wanted to go with this. I had an idea for a shark hoodie, undyne, a sci fi speedster and perry the platypus. (if it comes up that someone submitted perry the platypus costume and it didnt go through, idk what i will do) So they were like: why not combine the shark hoodie and a sci fi speedster and jaga u are a genius. im not too proud of this one, the colors could be a lil better and the suit needs some work, but it was the last day of the competition and didn't have that much time.

Saint as snufkins, very original (i wanted for the Jessica Rabbit costume to win). i don’t have much to say here other then my 10000 environment brushes as always carry the piece

Very basic, jack sparrow inspired scav king costume, inspired by the helm comic part.

Spearmaster

My personal proudest one. A simple spray painter, but i put much care into this one. Now looking at it, I should rethink some colors, but i still like it. The spray cans could’ve been swapped out for needles (optional, not a correct). The tail is a paint brush with a swirl that isn't very visible in the colored piece.

Wanderer

Hollow knight gang! I think quirrel works well with wanderer. I mean the name, the character, the mission. They work well, I think.

I was about to say 'it's literally just a Vending Machine' but I remembered it's actually sapient and snarky. Still I don't think there's like. ENOUGH of anything there to really Classpect... X3

RAIN WORLD THOUGH I LOVE RAIN WORLD.

Without going into much detail or spoilers, first of all there's a very real potential that Five Pebbles and Looks To The Moon could be, narratively within the framework of the game's story, be considered a Lord and a Muse, but I also do think this reading breaks down if you're considering the sheer scope of Rain World's Worldbuilding beyond what you're directly experiencing in the games. Basically if you just take the Slugcat's Journey into consideration, they COULD count, but I think beyond that you'd be hard-pressed to really give them that much importance (And in that Sense, there's definitely another Iterator that much better fits the role of a Muse for the entire overarching story).

But I digress. In my reckoning, Five Pebbles is most definitely Doombound. Not only because of his Actions and the results of Those Actions, but even his Goal. Once again, not to go too in-detail, but he's someone who's very obsessively trying to overcome certain limitations, who pushed things way too far. Class is more difficult. I am leaning Active for him just like I am Passive for Looks to the Moon, but... Maid could work. Attempting to be a Healer, a Creator of Doom, and some of his actions, could fit within this framework. There's also a 'Made of' pun that you could make him with his situation but, as mentioned, I'm trying to be as vague as possible here. X3

Looks to the Moon though. There's ways it could go... I want to say maybe Hope? It's very difficult but I think I may be pushing Hope a little bit, specially with her interactions with 5P and her own situation... And how things progress through the campaigns? Unsure, unsure. Class is even more difficult. She feels like a Very Passive figure to me, one more oriented to the things that Happen to her than the things that she Does. Maybe in that sense Void would work better than Hope. That doesn't answer the Class, though... Knight feels too proactive, Heir... Heir? Heir could be one, actually, specially with the idea of 'things happening to her', her current state could very much be a Bad 'Consumed by her Aspect' state... Familiar Rivulet... I think I like that. Heir of... Void? Heir of Hope? Heir of Breath or Blood perhaps even. Difficult but, I think the answer lies around there.

Can you tell I was writing this stuff as it popped to mind? Lmao. But yeah. Rainworld good- Pet a scug today.

How do u interpret fps relationship with nsh? Both precanon and during

precanon from 5p's pov hes just the childish behaving guy that suns is close friends with, he doesn't pay much attention. from nsh's pov.. he's mostly neutral about 5p as well- while having intrigue as well as disliking the way he is about moon, though acknowledging it's probably from 5p's lack of emotional expressions from still having a shell

during... i doubt 5p has any time to bother thinking about nsh for a notable amount of time tbh. though the care package ordeal makes him rethink some views he had about him (not in a fully changing his mind way more in a "oh that makes more sense actually its good that he did this anyways" way) 5p is always busy being stuck in his own head though he can't help it. ranges from being constantly frustrated at everyone to not wanting to deal with anything. that one kinda annoying guy his mentor is besties with is irrelevant to this in the grand scheme of things

nsh just wants everything to be over so there's atleast less issues caused for moon. whether that be from 5p behaving not as rashly or actively trying to help or anything in between, a part of him does hope for 5p to grow better from his mistakes, it would be for the best anyways, right? whether he hates 5p or not doesn't matter because either way he's gonna act the same

note that 5p is quite neutral leaning with his relationships with others, same goes for nsh though his more jovial attitude makes that harder to notice

Artificer: Bomb cat bomb cat bomb cat. Rabid, 15 diseases, craves the fall of entire societies, also adopted the depressed supercomputer. 5P: “I don’t want a cat” *Artificer shows up* 5P: “this is my cat”

No significant harassment: only one man (supercomputer) could make puns when facing eternal struggle and agony and failure of his own kind. I want to be his friend. I shipped him with 5P at some point, and I did and do love that ship but I forgot how it made sense to me.

Outer wilds:

Gabbro: GLOBBERT. Also basically the NSH of outerwilds. Just chilling in his hammock, playing flute, relaxing and meditating as he’s stuck in a time loop, being incinerated by a supernova over and over, facing the end of the entire fucking universe. Also smart af.

Solanum: NOMAI GAL NOMAI GAL. Just cool ig, tbh I think my favourite nomai is Mallow but there’s not enough blorbo material.

FIELD DAYS PART 2- CAMPFIRE PLOT DROP

GROWL N' GRILL BBQ

After a long day of sweating out in the sun playing sports with your fellow Lunar Covians, kick back and relax with a cool beer in your hand at the Growl n' Grill BBQ. This BBQ is hosted by JC Carvalho and is an opportunity for all of the species in Lunar Cove to get together for casual food, drinks and camaraderie. So, come hang out with the wolf pack. There will be a keg and everyone is invited to the Alder's Residence (Elif's current home).

CAPTURE THE FLAG

As referenced in the schedule below, the BBQ will take place Sunday night, while Monday, will end with one last active-ity being Capture the Flag. Capture the Flag will work a little differently than the other sports activities have been so far. Rather than bracketed matches, this will be one game with all of the Lunar Covians going head to head. The teams are as follows-

Team Lunar: Will be made up of the Coven, the Pack & the unaffiliated species (including non C.O.N.S. members). Team Lunar will take Echo Acres and Downtown.

Team Cove: Will be made up of the Clan, the Fae Court & the Coalition. Team Cove will take Celestial Hills and Sunny Harbor.

Shadow Lake will be off limits for Capture the Flag and the Town Green will act as a safe space. As always there will be no maiming and no killing, but powers are welcome. All magic is permitted and it is mandatory to play. You will receive 1 point for participating in each activity and, if you win, you will receive points for each team member who participatedThough a few ground rules to keep in mind- your flag must be completely visible at all times and outside (not inside any buildings- though it can be outside of a building or on a roof of one). All HQs are off limits as well (same goes with on top of any building that requires jurisdiction to enter). Once you place your flag, you can not move it to a different location. If an opposing team crosses over to your team's side, think of it like tag. If you tag them, they must go to whatever location you have deemed to be your team's "jail". They are no allowed to leave the marked "jail" area while the game is underway until a member of their own team tags them back in. If you manage to tag them before they bring the flag back over to their side, they must hand the flag back to you where you team will place the flag back in it's designated spot. You are allowed to guard your own flag as much as you wish. But, you can not hold the flag in its location.The first team to retrieve the opposite flag and return it safety to their side shall be the victor.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Similar to the sports brackets, we figured it would be fun to have your teams plot in the discord channel strategies, roles etc. and make a pitch as to why your team should win. Then we all vote OOC to decide which team deserves to move on to the next round. More instructions for this will appear in the GC.

In terms of dash starters, feel free to write open starters per any of the activities below.

This event will be mandatory- the werewolf BBQ is optional to attend, but all characters must be at Capture the Flag. Though, they do not have to be good at nor do they have to enjoy themselves or participate.

For anyone looking to bring in new characters, we will continue to have regular acceptances throughout the event. 

The tag for the event is lunarcoveevent12. Everything from pictures, outfits & threads etc. should be under this tag. Starters should have both the starter and event tag.

4S: This card indicates that things in your relationship may not be as peachy as they once were, but the upside is that all is not lost. Both partners may benefit from some time alone to reflect. Then maybe you can come together with an open, refreshed outlook. I feel like this could be a good thing after vacationing together lol.

QSR: In a love reading the queen of swords can represent a motherly figure. And she may be trying to interfere and cross boundaries. (Mom or sister?) However, reversed, I think this could mean they are staying out of the way. They may give advice if enlisted. The queen in general could signify someone that knows what she wants and comes off as abrasive. This is Nat's POV, so I wonder if she is getting negative feedback. Or if she feels boundaries are either pushed too far or are being allowed to be crossed in a detrimental way.

PWR: Again, this signifies feeling like you are doing more than your partner in the relationship. It takes two to tango and you can't fix things by yourself. You partner has to be willing to work with you to fix what might be making you unhappy. And if you can, it may save the relationship. However, this is reversed. So maybe, they are starting to work together, or the load has shifted somehow.

7C: Just because there is change presently in your relationship, does not mean anything is wrong. Stop trying to fix what is not broken. There might be an urge to hold on too tight. Let the reigns go and let things flow. Giiiirl, this is just a female reaction to things.

Ace of Pents: This card could actually signify new beginnings. Your path could be leading towards commitment or it could be saying a new relationship is heading your way. (Oh Lord, I was wondering where this just came from and then I did the rest of the reading)

KP: A traditional person. The king of Pents needs to talk about his feelings more. Your partner is not a mind reader. Also don't try to be something you are not for the king. Based on past readings, if Nat is doing this, Evan can see right through it and I think he does not want that for her.

Temperance: There may be two different energies at play here. We have seen before that one person here is not as tradish as the other. Nat may not have the same outlook s Evan and that may be hindering commitment, but if they can meld together, they can make it work. But, both parties have to work together. 3S: This one is never good. This signifies heartache and loss. However, if past pain and current problems can be worked on by both partners, then it may not be doomed.

2SR:This card is about partnership and balance. But reversed it may mean that this is lacking thus far. It would benefit you to address past pain and figure out a balance that works for you and your partner.

Devil: Codependency and desire. She may feel passionate towards Evan, but desire can not be the only good quality in a relationship.

HPR:This could indicate that something has been said or done in the relationship that has hit Natalie the wrong way and she may have assumed the worst without talking through her anxieties. It does not mean she is correct. And this can cause a period of tension.

QPR: She represents Natalie to me. She comes out for me and I take it as her personality. She signifies a smooth and organized home and environment. But being reversed it could mean things are about to get a bit chaotic. 🤷

still playing ram is potemkin supposed to be wiping the floor with me LMAO

it is widely regarded as matchup overwhelmingly in ram's favor, but ive gotten my entire shit pushed in by really good potemkins to know that pot has the tools to just demolish a ram caught sleeping. if this is ur first fighting game it's no surprise that ur getting messed up by grapplers, a grappler's strengths and weaknesses are really polarized and ur getting caught up in pot's strengths and it makes him fee overwhelming. step 1 is that u probably need to play more patiently. pot needs u close to him to be threatening, and u have massive buttons that can keep him out. f.s, 5h, and j.s are of course great at this. hammerfall (his armored charge) is most safely dealt with by mashing 5p but against pots below floor 10 u can get away with jumping on reaction and hitting him with j.h > j.214s for a knockdown, which lets u either back off again or try to pressure him up close (dangerous if u don't have tight oki setups,the worst thing u can let him do is buster u on wakeup). mega fist seems overwhelming but if u keep getting hit by it it's probably because ur being too predictable with far slash. if u block it he's super negative and u can punish with 2k > 2d > rekka. be mindful about jumping too much because he has a lot of tools to kill u for that, and nothing feels worse than getting caught by heavenly.

the real key is getting a feel for when ur opponent wants to go for pot buster, and preempting it with back dash or jump back. he has tools to beat those options but u have to remember that the pot player, particularly lower rank pot player's, are simple creatures always looking for the opportunity to land it. pot buster has more range than u think it should if ur opponent knows how to do kara cancels (kara pot buster can grab u from round start distance, to preventing this from happening, never open with anything slower than 5k)

i hope this is helpful at all and im sorry if it's too overwhelming, im very autistic about this matchup

Lore,,

Wandering Fields is an iterator with a severe case of wanderlust. They were designed with curiosity in mind, in hopes of seeking a solution piquing their interest, and for a while it did. They were showing promising results of progress for quite some time, exploring new ways the other iterators simply would not.

This, of course, hit a dead end regardless, even with collaboration among the other iterators once the ancients had all left. Left to their own devices, the idea of leaving was the next thing to pique Wandering Fields' interest. They had a period of time where they went radio silent on the other iterators, getting extremely wrapped up in running simulations. Ultimately successful, however, they shared their findings with their local group. They weren't sure how the other iterators would react, and therefore did not share with them.

TRIVIA

They took interest in yeeks and the way they were able to maneuver with such grace. They saw how they were able to traverse the harsh landscape with practiced ease, and styled their first alternative limbs after them.

Was, of course, clumsy as shit during the first few weeks of being off their umbilical.

Unsure if it's very noticeable, but WF has three lighter spots in the spirals on their forehead symbol.

Actively attempting to train centipedes to shock them on sight if they're seen seemingly dead on the ground. Who needs lizards and slugcats!!!

I headcanon that an overseer's secondary color is reliant on their local group. For example 5P, LttM, NSH, SRS, etc, all have a blue secondary on their overseers. Wandering Fields, not being a member of this local group, and actually being rather far off, has pink as their overseer's secondary color. As well as the other members of their local group, who are yet to be designed.
