i think i've been on this blog enough to share nsfw headcanons
caelus has a bang average sex drive. hasn't really had the time to indulge in casual sex very much and generally ??? he would prefer being in a stable relationship, but he isn't strictly against it. whatever happens happens. somewhat of an accidental service top. they have quite an experimental / explorational touch, which can often be preoccupied with appreciating and figuring a partner out. their own pleasure is rarely at the forefront of their mind and they can easily forget about reciprocation, but honestly, this is down to him being incredibly tactile and naturally inclined towards dominance. he'll crowd your space in a casual sense, but with permission, takes full initiative and gets a little cocky with it. sucker for praise. this isn't to say that he'll turn down any reciprocation. it's a case of them getting carried away with making their partner feel good until they realise, yeah, this definitely works both ways.
respectfully, i am declining to give delorean ken doll anatomy but as a vidyadhara he does have a very low sex drive because it serves no biological purpose. he's a switch but he doesn't know it yet, who's going to tell him 😔. assumes a dominant role and if you were to turn the tables on him he'd put up one hell of a fight that he has no idea how much he'd enjoy losing. shit would blow his mind. king of refusing to make eye contact when submissive. brat and brat tamer. he really only cares for sex on occasion but who is he not to indulge himself when he feels like it. this man has never been in a relationship or entertained the idea of one so any encounters have been ons or flings that he ghosts the second he starts to feel restless. surprising nobody, he can be a selfish partner.
robin's sexuality is something that clicked into place for her perhaps a little late in life. she has never felt shame but was definitely somewhat shy and reserved, growing into her confidence after breaking away from compulsive heterosexuality in her early twenties. she's a switch without any preference or strong inclination in either direction, she'll gauge things as they play out and go with the flow, but she prefers an equal amount of give and take. finds communication extremely important, good at establishing boundaries and defining exactly what her partners are comfortable with ; she's more on the vanilla end of the spectrum, however, she's open to discussion and willing to get more experimental with someone she's in a committed relationship to. incredibly vocal and gives a lot of praise, whereas degradation (both giving and receiving) is a major turn off.

Headcanon: if Vertin ever learns to drive, I hc its Tooth Fairy who teaches her.
Feeding the funny headcanons (also general question, ignoring the different time periods stuff who would be good or bad drivers in Reverse 1999? Like if they were taught or attempted to drive?)
We have the running gag of TF hitting ppl with her car and her and Madam Z are bcs parents to Vertin sooo... Vertin learning to drive by Tooth Fairy for better or worse.
It would be funny since Vertin is heavily implied to be British she has British road rage, anytime driving complaining about how the steering is on the other side, everyone driving on the wrong side (the UK steering is opposite to the US idk other countries).
In terms of cars well:
One - the Sorcerer's Apprentice Rolls Royce Car
Tumblr media
Just because the sorcerer vibe, Vertin's whole outfit is already classy in style
Or
Two - A DeLorean Back to the Future Car
Tumblr media
Because time travel (either the standard car or looking like this because of Laplace)

Back to the Future Part II, The Novel by Craig Shaw Gardner: Thoughts, commentary, and general ramblings
Part 5: Doc gets his beauty rest
Previous posts here
• We open with the scene of Marty going to confront Biff about the almanac. The book tells us, “It had been surprisingly easy for Marty to get into Biff’s penthouse—especially with Biff distracted the way he was.” And that’s all we get of that. I want to know HOW Marty got into the penthouse, especially since we know Biff himself is baffled as to how he managed to get past security. I suppose we’ll never know what sneaky shenanigans Marty engaged in. Maybe Doc dropped him off on the roof?
• Unlike in the movie, Book Biff hands the almanac right over to Marty to hold.
• Also! I have to point out the line mentioning his and Doc’s plan, because the movie doesn’t make it clear at all that there even was a plan.
Tumblr media
I’ve seen people speculate and make up theories about the roof scene and Doc’s sudden appearance with the DeLorean. One semi-popular theory claims that the scene we see is actually Doc’s second or third attempt to pick up Marty from the roof, as he initially had no idea Marty would end up there. Basically, Biff ended up originally shooting Marty, or Marty had no choice but to jump, and the scene we get in the movie is Doc fixing things by getting there to save Marty just in time.
I mean, I can kind of see where the thought process is behind that headcanon. There’s no indication Marty’s roof escape was planned. In fact, I’ve always thought he didn’t mean to end up there but just had no choice once he was being chased. But on the other hand, the first thing he does when he gets up there is run to the edge and look over, then act visibly frustrated after. So, it’s clear he was looking for Doc and had expected him to be waiting there.
But on the other other hand: if this was planned, why wasn’t Doc there already?? Why would he cut it that close? A few more seconds, and Marty would have been dead.
Although, the headcanon’s reasoning doesn’t make total sense either. If Marty originally DIED, there’s no way Doc would have waited until the last second to swoop in and catch him as he stepped off the roof. He would have been there from the moment Marty arrived and looked down for him.
Hmm. No solution to this one! Back to 1955 we go!
• Biff’s grandmother comes across as noticeably less gruff and demanding in the book. As she’s calling to Biff as he leaves the house, her voice is described as “whining” rather than the shouting of the movie. Her exact words are, “But when are you coming back, precious?” which is interesting. Was Biff’s grandma supposed to be softer than the version we got? (She’s AWFUL in the comics btw)
• While waiting for Marty to report back on how his spying is going, Doc falls asleep in the DeLorean and has a hilarious dream.
Tumblr media
Yeah, it’s Marty on the walkie-talkie, lol. And after getting an update, Doc immediately goes back to sleep. Good job, Doc. Your little buddy is running all around town, singlehandedly responsible for somehow getting the almanac back, and you’re taking naps. Marty only gets to sleep when he’s knocked unconscious! This doesn’t seem fair…
• The scene where Biff confronts Lorraine in town about going to the dance contains some really interesting moments from inside Marty’s head. Marty is enraged that Biff has his hands on Lorraine, and he wants so badly to jump out of the car and go help. We get these lines, which I really love:
“Both of Marty’s hands balled into fists without him even thinking about it. He couldn’t just sit here and watch this. Marty bit his knuckle. His mother was always telling him not to fight—not to let the others goad him into something by calling him “chicken.” She always wanted him to count to ten. Well, he would, this time, for his mother. But if Biff was still manhandling Lorraine by the time he was done, Marty would have to go out and stop it—no matter what else happened!”
I love Marty so much. Sweet, sweet boy. He’s willing to potentially throw their whole delicate plan out the window to rush to his mama’s assistance. Also, I love that Lorraine (and this would be Twin Pines Lorraine!) is frequently trying to coach Marty on how to deal with his anger. She makes him stop and count to ten! I so enjoy getting glimpses of characterization for Twin Pines Lorraine and her and Marty’s relationship.
Also, that’s just like…genuinely good advice for someone with anger/impulse control issues. Good on Twin Pines Lorraine for looking out for her boy and trying to help him work through his very big emotions! That’s a loving mom. (I will always defend TP Lorraine)

What if Einstein was in 1885 with Doc ?
Even Doc is very happy to be in Farwest, has blacksmith, his dog Einstein would be a big emotional support, especially when he tried during months to fix the time machine.
Also here some headcanons of Einstein in 1885:
Doc teaches him hunt, and then uses less the rifle.
Like his owner, Einstein loves sit on the edge of cliffs, and enjoy the silence and the sun.
The dog is afraid of steam train, especially the whistle.
Doc mades with wood and straw a bed for his dog.
Einstein misses a lot Marty. 2015 cap is the only thing linked to him that remains in Delorean when the accidental time travel happened. Doc left it in Einstein's bed to reasure him.
Chester loves the dog, he lets Doc come in the bar with him.
Einstein barely barks. But when Buford Tannen is there, the dog does.
When Doc wrote the letter, Einstein putted his head on his knee, feeling his sadness.
In the timeline Doc is killed by Buford, Chester keeps Einstein. The dog go everyday to sleep next to his owner's grave.
In the timeline Marty's here, Einstein sleeps each night in Marty's bed. He's like a plush for the teen.
Clara is a bit afraid first of the dog, but quickly appreciate him and like pet him.
Einstein is terrified during all the time the train pushes the time machine. Marty has to reasure him often.
When they're about to time travel without Doc and Clara, Marty, instead of putting his hat, hugs tighly Einstein.
At the end of the movie, instead of joining Doc and the Brown family in the train, he stays sit next to Marty and Jennifer. Doc is touched by his choice, and says 'See you very soon, kids and Einie !!' before leaving with the train.

🕰️, ✒️, 👀, ❓, and ⏲️!
Thank you!!
🕰️If you were to insert yourself into the trilogy, what year would you come from? My own time, honestly; it'd be an interesting juxtaposition to Doc's vision of the 21st Century and different situations for Doc and Marty to navigate
✒️You are hired to write/draw a new bttf comic, and it can be about whatever you want. what in the bttf universe would you want to expand on? In an answer that will surprise no one, the continuation of the musical timeline; as the Tropes page for the musical pointed out, the exact events of part II (and by extension, pt III) can't happen since Doc's voice activation lock means that Biff won't be able to steal the DeLorean and create the 1985A timeline like he did in the movie. That being said, there are plenty of other shenanigans for Doc and Marty to get into, and I'm sure they'd end up in 1885 some other way, resulting in Clara coming back with them to 1985.
👀Share a random headcanon you have about your favorite character! Doc, especially musical!Doc is very asexual. Movie!Doc can be considered demisexual with how he fell head over heels for Clara and no one else, but musical!Doc, I feel, is so asexual that he wouldn't have fallen for Clara that quickly, but does bring her back with him and Marty to 1985, and their relationship progresses at a much, much slower rate, with Doc having no clue how to go about having a relationship and Marty gleefully getting to throw Doc's previous "interact in a socially significant situation" bit right back at him (probably with a reprise of "Put Your Mind to It").
❓What is one question you would love to ask Bob Gale? Was musical!Doc's ace-coding intentional or just a happy accident? (According to the Making Of book, Roger also got a lot of say in Doc's portrayal so I'm wondering was that possibly his doing, too. *happy ace flailing*)
⏲️What time period would you want Marty to travel to and what would you want him to do? For fun or for something serious? I really, really would love to see Marty go back in time to the 30s again and go on a McGuffin retrieval quest with Indiana Jones. Both 80s Doc and 30s Emmett are involved in some capacity (with 80s Doc desperately trying to stay out of his past self's way because paradoxes). Could also lead to something full-circle with 1969 Lone Pine Doc assisting Indy with the Dial of Destiny and all that time-travel stuff, and Indy trying to wrap his brain around the fact that the one-year-old that Doc is babysitting for the McFlys is, in fact, the same young man who was running around in the 30s helping him out.

What are your headcanons of Doc when he's in 1885 before Marty's here ? ^^
OOOH BEFORE MARTY'S ARRIVAL?
This is such fun territory because Doc doesn't yet know what's in-store for him and he's absolutely certain this is where he'll be living out the rest of his years and I don't usually get the chance to talk about it.
So here are a couple headcanons I have for 1885 pre-Marty's intervention:
First and foremost, I think those first couple months Doc spent in 1885 were fairly rough and Doc didn't fully get the chance to enjoy living in his favourite (overly boyishly romanticised) time period. Getting himself set up somewhere was important, of course, but everything it could have been was initially soured by the circumstances and the understanding/guilt that surrounded his arrival in the Nineteenth Century.
Marty and the Time Vehicle were always at the forefront of his mind. Doc often thought about Marty (and about Einie, his other dear friend who is not unaffected by this whole situation, though he was at least safely home in his own time), sometimes falling prey to despair and grief over what happened—Marty likely thinks him dead or worse and, on top of that, Doc feels like he failed to look after him. Marty's stranded in 1955 with his younger counterpart, without a time machine, without his family, without hope, and all of that rests constantly on his shoulders—and, after finding himself snared by these unproductive feelings, he'd use that to reinvigorate himself and continue puzzling out solutions to this temporal conundrum he'd been faced with.
Doc is also faced with a lot of personal/moral dilemmas. He'd been driving the point home across the two films so far that the past cannot and should not be altered/tampered with and even the smallest changes could have potentially disastrous effects on the future. With things as messed up as they already are, Doc had to weigh his options when it came to figuring out how to proceed: hide and try and leave no mark or risk potential contamination/alteration of the timestream, however small, all for Marty's sake. The answer was obvious, of course, and he didn't let his own personal reservations hold him back for too long doing what he needed to do. It's for Marty, after all, and he would bend time and space for the safety of his best friend.
The rescue Marty plan goes through several iterations and failed attempts before Doc settles on the one that we see play out in the third film.
Doc quickly figures out that the people of Nineteenth Century Hill Valley aren't too terribly different from Twentieth Century Hill Valley citizens. There aren't tabloid papers and other such media in which scurrilous gossip, scandal, and other low-quality forms of 'entertainment' run rampant, however people then and people now certainly love whispering in each others' ears and sticking their nose in the business of their neighbours underneath a hundred and one false pretenses. Doc was neither a stranger nor an exception to that. Though the rumours and talk about him were hardly as cruel and malicious as they were in his own time, he was still, at times, the odd man out.
Despite that, however, he was generally still widely-accepted amongst the people and well-known for reasons that didn't have to do with his less-than-stellar reputation.
A couple of people had seen the quality of life improvements Doc had made to the stable and while some of them marvelled at such contraptions, others gave him funny looks and the occasional side-eye, unsure what to make of them and him.
A few people even saw the DeLorean in various stages of its repair when they dropped by unannounced and after the first time, Doc came up with a convincing cover story to explain its existence. People didn't often question it too much after that.
Doc did not have a lot of prior experience as a proper blacksmith before taking up the position. He was a self-taught engineer and mechanic, skills that were necessary for him to learn to further his work on the Time Machine, but he'd never worked with a forge proper before and there was a steep initial learning curve. Still, Doc found that he greatly enjoyed the work as it was physical, challenging at some times, and not so different from inventing, albeit the purpose and end result was different.
Archimedes was the first horse Doc acquired, followed by Galileo and Newton in that order. Archimedes quickly became Doc's favourite horse, though Doc loved them all, and he had the biggest personality out of the three, occasionally as stubborn and eccentric as his master. Newton was easily bribed by treats, apples being his favourite, and Galileo was prone to stealing whatever was in reach and not tied down. Doc's hats, whatever was in his hand he wasn't holding on to tight enough, knocking things off the wall, you name it.
Doc had accidentally slipped up a couple times when talking to others about the future, but he was typically pretty careful with his words. Luckily, they either didn't catch on or didn't take what he said too seriously.
He did not miss the light pollution of the Twentieth Century. Doc spent a lot of time looking at the stars at night, especially when he was stuck on one of his projects or at a loss for how to proceed with the DeLorean.
Most of the personal effects in Doc's barn were bought during his various trips to San Francisco for parts and other necessities unavailable in the still-developing Hill Valley. Whenever he'd return after a couple days away, he'd typically come back to a mountain of jobs waiting for him, from shoeing requests to wagon repairs and so on.
The barn was more than enough for him to live comfortably in, as he could find comfort and luxury damn near anywhere. Doc didn't need a cushy home or anything beyond the basic amenities for himself to be content. Moving away and finding a new place to live never crossed his mind.
During Doc's first test of the refrigeration unit, there'd been a lot of 'unnatural' sounds coming from the barn, so much so that the sheriff had been called to check on things.
One of the older women in town, a lady only seven years Doc's junior, had taken a particular interest in meddling in his life. This included enquiring about his past, his plans for the future, why he'd not yet married, if he had kids, and occasionally trying to play matchmaker. She liked Doc for what it was worth (not in the romantic sense) but Doc assumed she simply couldn't help herself.
Though he'd grown accustomed to technology and all its conveniences, he found he didn't miss all of it the way he thought he would have. The biggest thing he missed was modern medicine and vaccines; he lamented the poor state of medicine back in the day. Especially after his bout with scarlet fever. Never had he been so miserable.
Doc first met Seamus McFly when he'd dropped by the barn needing his wagon repaired. Doc didn't mean to end up becoming fast friends with the man, but he saw very much of Marty in him and the two hit it off fairly quickly. Maggie had initially thought him strange, sensing something off about him that never quite went away the longer she got to know him, but she cared about Doc as well.
Seamus always could sense there was much more to Doc than met the eye, even if he had no idea just what that something could possibly be.
He almost took in a dog he found wandering around town square, even caught the animal, until he found out that the dog actually belonged to somebody.
Doc couldn't help himself from making the trip out to Peabody's Farm to see that piece of history for himself.
Like in the version of events where Marty does show up to save Doc from Fate, Doc and Clara fall for each other at first sight.
Even after he'd completed the DeLorean repairs as much as he could, devised his ingenious plan to get Marty back to 1985, and set everything into motion, Doc couldn't help but think about Marty. He was certain his younger temporal counterpart would succeed in making the necessary repairs and ultimately he did feel bad that once Marty returned home, they would never meet again, but if that was the last thing Doc would be able to do for him, at least he could do that. There were always some regrets that he wouldn't be able to see the rest of his best friend's life unfold and be a part of it, but he had unwavering faith in Marty that, after all this, things would turn out alright.

saw you were trying to do the ask game!
✒️you are hired to write/draw a new bttf comic, and it can be about whatever you want. what in the bttf universe would you want to expand on?
👀share a random headcanon you have about your favorite character!
💫if you have any bttf related wips, here's the oppurtunity to ramble about them!
YAAAAAAA THANK YOU!!
🖋️ - ultimately I’d want to make one about Marty adjusting to his “improved” family while George and Lorraine somehow discover he was Calvin Klein with the aftermath from that. Fixing the current IDW comics to stay more true to the characters we love in the movies or another adventure to a different time period would be a close second!
👀 - Marty and Jennifer are both tied for my favorite character so have a headcanon for each of them! Marty gets very into history post-time travel and he becomes a middle school US history teacher before his music rep blows up and hits rockstar status, he always scares his students with these niche tidbits he drops mid lecture: “in the old west, you can’t just walk into a saloon and ask for water” “back then the greatest source of energy possible were the 1.21 jigowatts of a lightning bolt” Jen is the queen of life hacks and at home fixes, you’d be amazed at her wizardry with a hair tie and some cooking oil, which is helpful since Marty’s pretty clumsy and she loves her dork. Later she becomes an attorney and also finds a passion in motivational speaking.
💫 - There’s 3 sitting in my drafts right now! The first one is my first attempt at a bttf fic called Atlas: A Tail of Time and is basically me rehashing the trilogy but giving Marty a dog sidekick lol. The second one was started not long after A:ATT (so over 3 years ago) and the only one that I actually went as far as posting the first chapter to AO3. It’s called See You Some Other Time and two more chapters of old writing sit on my bttf sideblog that have yet to end up on AO3. There is a known fact where I can’t get into a fandom without inserting a new or preexisting OC into it, the story follows Marty getting a time traveling partner in crime near the end of part 2 so I could expand on more adventures post trilogy and have an excuse to save the Delorean from being smashed. The last one is the only fic without an obvious OC and it’s called I’ve Lost My Mind, it’s completely inspired by a post I saw about Doc accidentally switching Marty and Einstein’s minds. Set after Doc has relocated his family to the 80s during the summertime, the plot is a week’s worth of shenanigans with Marty in a dog’s body and Einstein as a 5’4” ex-chicken along with Jennifer being awesome and the Brown family. Nothing for it is currently posted but there is a tag list for when I finally do release the first chapter!

She’s A Sensation: Ch. 1 | Marty McFly x reader
A/N: Hey guys! So basically, I’m in the middle of one of my many BTTF marathons & since I’m clearly In The Mood™️, I decided to bless your feed with some Marty McFly content.
The name of the band in this story is inspired by my favourite band, Psihomodo Pop from Zagreb, Croatia & their song Sexy Magazin.
Have a great day! —Ally xx
Chapter 2
Tumblr media
For as long as you can remember, you’ve loved music with inexplicable passion. Some of your earliest memories involve blasting out The Sweet’s Ballroom Blitz on your old radio & jamming out to it with your dad. Your parents noticed you had talent when you would sing or hum absent-mindedly while dressing up your Barbie dolls or playing outside.
You got your first guitar at the age of 13, but your parents couldn’t afford guitar lessons as well. You spent that whole summer saving up for the lessons & finding all sorts of ways to make money, which sounds easier than it was for a 13-year-old, though. Most of the time you would walk dogs for other people, mow their lawns or babysit little kids when needed. Old ladies were especially fond of you & made sure to pay you a dollar or two extra when you carried groceries for them. It wasn’t the hardest work, but it definitely was a fair responsibility given how young you were.
On the other hand, you’d been dreaming of playing the guitar for years beforehand and that’s why you were so determined.
When the day of your first lesson arrived, you were ecstatic. Playing the guitar turned out to be a lot more difficult than you’d thought it was going to be, but your enthusiasm never subsided. It required talent, patience & hard work, and you had it all. You got better and better with each day.
Sophomore year of high school you made friends with some cool guys who liked punk and glam metal and you started playing together soon after. At first, it was only for fun. You would goof around on your instruments pretending you were Iggy Pop or Joan Jett; at parties people would sometimes ask you to play something & that was when you first realized that as a group, you sounded really good. By the end of the school year, you were officially a band.
Your main influences were the Ramones & Alice Cooper. First you started as a cover band and soon began to write and play your own stuff. You’d been searching for a proper band name for weeks before you agreed to be called Sexy Magazine. The main theme you represented combined proto-punk style with shock rock elements. What you actually were was intimidating, and that’s how you chose the name—you really wanted to shock people.
One morning, you saw the announcement for the rock band audition at your school. You knew that with the name you had and songs you played you wouldn’t even stand a goddamn chance. After all, the school was looking for a group that would play at the upcoming dance and there was no way in hell a bunch of punks singing taboo shit would win—which was exactly why you signed up. All four of you thought it would be hilarious to walk up on stage and see how long it would take the judges to cut off the ultimate atrocity that you were.
On the day of the audition, you arrived somewhat early because you wanted to take a look at other bands. While you were hanging around, checking out the music and waiting for your name to be called, some cute guy in denim brushed hurriedly past you, slipping his guitar strap over one shoulder and heading to the front. His bandmates were already onstage. He walked up to the microphone, cleared his throat and said:
“We’re, uh... We’re The Pinheads.”
The Ramones’ Pinhead immediately started playing in your head and within an instant, all your attention was on those guys.
You were surprised to find out they weren’t going to play any Ramones. Instead, they started playing a thing you quickly recognized—it was The Power Of Love by Huey Lewis & The News.
And actually, they sounded amazing.
If this was a fair, honest-to-God rock band audition, these guys would make for some serious competition, you thought to yourself.
To your complete and utter shock, the judge stood up with a loudspeaker and cut them off within the first guitar riff. You couldn’t believe your ears.
Too darn loud?? It was a rock band audition, for crying out loud! Since when’s rock ‘n’ roll supposed to be soft?
The guy in denim looked disappointed. He quickly gathered his stuff and descended.
You honestly felt sorry for them because they sounded great and didn’t even get a proper chance. After that, it was almost final: you weren’t going to make it past five seconds on that stage, but you decided to go for it anyway.
You had agreed to play a song you wrote together called The Midnight Hour, which was basically the Cinderella story full of more or less subtle dirty references. You did have butterflies in your stomach despite the fact that you were there just for kicks. But as soon as you grabbed the mic and started singing, the feeling faded away—it was like an instant transformation.
You didn’t even notice how far into the song you’ve come and before you knew it, it was over and people were cheering, their voices snapping you back to reality. You exchanged incredulous glances with your friends, your breath caught in your throat. Even the judges seemed impressed. In fact, you saw the one with the glasses whisper something to the guy next to him, who nodded and immediately turned to the rest of them.
You thought it was all a joke. You couldn’t believe they’d let you play in the first place! This was the exact opposite of what you’d planned on doing. As much as you hated to admit it, you felt a wave of excitement wash over you as you watched the audience applauding with joy.
You sticked around for a short while afterwards and pretty soon the judges arose from their seats and signaled for everyone to gather around. They’d apparently decided on the winner.
“All right, everybody. Thank you all for participating. Your effort is appreciated. To be fair, we had a tough time choosing among so many great groups...”
A couple of kids exchanged amused looks and you heard faint snickering somewhere behind you. This guy talked like he was an actual game show host. It was ridiculous.
“...Congratulations to...”, he trailed off, taking a breath. When he spoke at last, it seemed as though he didn’t say, but spat out: “Sexy Magazine!”
Your bandmates started laughing in disbelief. You couldn’t seem to wrap your mind around what had just happened.
We won? Us?! We are going to play at the dance?
A couple of kids came up to you to say congrats and tell you they’d really enjoyed the show. Some dude you recognized from earlier who looked as if he was high all of the time, the lead singer of some mediocre blues rock band, gave you a slow nod and a high-five and then proceeded to disappear somewhere in the crowd.
You turned around, searching the room for a specific face, but not his. You were trying to spot the one in denim, the Pinhead.
He was standing on the other end of the hall with his back to you, packing up his guitar. You pushed your way through the crowd, trying to reach him before he left. He unexpectedly turned around just as you were going to tap him on the shoulder.
“Hi”, you said, pulling your arm back.
He started, his brows furrowed. “Oh, uh... Hey.”
You wondered how come you hadn’t realized he had such beautiful eyes. Up close, he looked much more handsome than you’d thought at first.
“So, uh, I guess I just wanted to tell ya that I saw you play and you were really good. I mean, you sounded almost like Huey Lewis himself!”
You swore you saw a smile tugging at the corners of his lips as he scratched his head nervously, shifting from one foot to the other.
“Well, thanks, but, uh... We didn’t play much, to be fair.”
“I know! I was really pissed when they cut you off like that. And then they let us play!”
He smiled uneasily and you thought he didn’t believe you.
“I’m not trying to sell you that fake modesty bullshit, I really think you guys were awesome. I was so angry they made you stop before the first verse. I wish I’d been able to hear you sing.”
His smile now grew bigger and more sincere as he locked his eyes on yours.
“Thank you”, he said, “it really means a lot. And, well, uh, congrats to you... I mean, you rocked that stage for real!”
You chuckled, feeling your cheeks redden all of a sudden. “Thanks! My name’s [Y/N], by the way.”
He shook your hand with a grin. “Nice to meet you, [Y/N]. I’m Marty, Marty McFly.”
The warm look in his eyes made your heart flutter. He was clumsy in a cute sort of way. He’d almost dropped his guitar case when he took your hand, which made you both laugh awkwardly.
“I ought to join my friends now, but it’s been real nice talking to you. I guess I’ll see you around, then”, you said, trying to sound casual.
“Yeah, sure thing. Thanks again. See you around, [Y/N]!”, he smiled and waved before he left.
You turned slowly and walked back over to your bandmates, trying to hide how flustered you were. His eyes and his laugh were the only things you could think about at that moment.
Marty? Such a nice name...

hello!! so i'm a little confused about something: it's established that doc and marty met around, what, 1982? if marty was 14 at the time like i tought.. but would their meeting be changed in any way after the events of the first movie where he met 1955 doc?? would they meet 30ish years later but already know eachother? and would the way they met change at all?
i considered this being a weird timeline thing and i remembered i read a fic once where marty gains memories from the lone pine timeline once he gets there and now i'm wondering if he has different memories of doc (including how they met). does he even know doc in that timeline (or is supposed to know him?)?? probably a stupid question but i don't know, i'm lost. help me out (if you want to)
sorry if this is a long ask i just don't know what's going on (ever) and time travel is especially confusing
love your posts btw <3
Hey there!
So, generally, I think we're supposed to assume that they ended up meeting in the same way in both timelines (or at least very similar ways). After the events that week in 1955, Doc would have likely been very careful once the time rolled around for Marty to be born and those years he was growing up. I'm sure as curious and eager as he was, he would've been mindful of doing anything that might skew the circumstances their original meeting occurred in.
Which makes me wonder if 1955 Doc asked Marty how they met at some point. I know he was very adamant that he not know about the future, but this detail might've been one he made an exception for. After all, how could he make sure everything was on course if he had no idea what to look out for?
But, yeah, officially, it did happen in the same way, with Marty breaking into the garage due to pressure from Needles. In the IDW comics, Doc tells the story of how he and Marty met to Jules and Verne, which solidifies it as their Lone Pine Meeting Story. And Doc includes the same story in a journal entry of the DeLorean Manual. Perhaps there were tiny little details that were different between the two timelines, but overall, it was the same. The big main difference was that Lone Pine Doc would already have spent the previous nearly 30 years anticipating their meeting and then having to keep his mouth shut about already knowing Marty until AFTER the time traveling happened. I'm sure that was an interesting conversation to have at some point.
As for Marty's memories, one of the comics "Who is Marty McFly" deals with Marty's struggles adjusting to a timeline where his memories don't match. If I remember correctly, the comic picks up several months after his return to 1985, and he still doesn't really remember anything from the "new" timeline. I honestly can't recall if the comic implies he's going to gain any memories or if that's just a fandom headcanon thing, but he spends a lot of time staring at photos and home videos trying to find things he can remember. He talks to George about it a bit (leaving it vague and not mentioning time travel) and George tries to help by giving advice and even taking Marty to speak to their parish priest because he can tell Marty is struggling with something.
Also! The DeLorean Manual does have an interesting section in which Doc mentions that he gains both sets of memories. Basically, when Lone Pine Doc sits up in the parking lot (after being shot) he says he was flooded with memories of his life from the Twin Pines Timeline. Does this mean Marty eventually gains memories as well? I don't know, and honestly, it leaves me with several questions. Why did Doc gain his instantly while post-trilogy Marty has none months later? Is it because Twin Pines Doc was murdered, so he gets the memories from his counterpart? This Doc hasn't even time traveled yet! Why does he get the memories, and what does this mean for other people like George, Lorraine, Biff, etc? There's...a lot to think about here.
Anyway, I've rambled long enough. Thanks for the ask!

The DeLorean, it’s features, and how I explain the comics and the games in the same verse
Since the DeLorean was destroyed at the end of the third film, when it was run over by that train, the DeLorean Marty uses is not the same DeLorean we see in the movies.  At the start of the games the DeLorean shows up and Marty has to follow some clues to figure out when in time Doc is so he can, you know, save him from gangsters. Later when they meet up, Doc explains that in 1955 when the DeLorean was struck by lightning (end of part ii, not the first movie with Marty inside), one DeLorean was sent back in time 70 years to 1885 and a duplicate was sent forward 70 years to 2025. He later discovered, retrieved, and repaired (assuming the time circuits and hover conversion parts were also damaged) this DeLorean. Later, this DeLorean, well, disappears due to some issues with the time circuits and I won’t get into it because that’s a spoiler for the game but it’s fine because, by that point, Doc’s shown up with another DeLorean.
Point is—we got ourselves another DeLorean.
One of the DeLorean’s features includes the auto-retrieval.  Doc (or whoever) can set the car to automatically return to a specific point in space and time if he (or whoever) doesn’t return to the DeLorean in a specified amount of time.  His failure to return to the DeLorean is what kickstarts the events of the games.  So… that’s the auto-retrieval but then there’s the spatial displacement bit-- For the DeLorean to appear right outside of Doc’s lab in 1986, it would’ve had to disappear from 1931 in that same geographic location, right? Wrong. Having a futuristic car with a dog sitting inside drive through town, only to disappear in a flash of light wouldn’t have been something Doc wanted to risk. In Episode 5 of the game, we see the spatial displacement feature used again. SPOILERS FOR THE GAME AHEAD. Doc and Marty’s pursuit of Edna in her stolen DeLorean leads them way out of town and certainly doesn’t end up with them back in courthouse square. Yet when they arrive back in 1931 Edna’s crashed right into the police station, which is across the way from the clock tower. Spatial displacement, you guys. Spatial displacement.  Also, Doc has a remote control that calls the DeLorean to him and it’s dangerous as fuck because, you know, the car flies and will just fly right through buildings.
So, in the comics we don’t have the explanation of lightning and duplicate DeLoreans—but we do have a secret lab with another DeLorean inside.  The way I make it work is this—the DeLorean in the lab is the duplicate DeLorean that Doc retrieved from 2025.  He was storing it in his second lab until he could restore the car to working order along with all the additional features mentioned above.
