Vathek is one of the most important people in Cedric's life, he's one of the few characters Cedric is somewhat comfortable expressing his actual thoughts to, the little information we get on that in the comics makes it seem like Vathek's betrayal shocked and hurt Cedric, and I would like to see them in a situation where they display Divorced Behaviour.
#w.i.t.c.h.#/particulary if cedric is somewhat redeemed and they're now on the same side again#/just without the power imbalance#/cedric for some reason is part of a w.i.t.c.h. mission to meridian and has massive 'oh no my ex is here' vibes the entire time#/vathek would be much less bothered methinks#/feat.: cedric being appalled at himself bc he's jealous of caleb??? bc that's HIS best friend how DARE this rebel hang out with him#/vathek hates to break it to cedric but he never actually considered them friends? cedric was his boss?#/it... worries him a little that this assessment of their relationship was not mutual? lord cedric do you want to talk about that#/still having w.i.t.c.h. thoughts apparently. we will return to our scheduled mxtx soon#/(i think vathek would be up for an attempt at an actual friendship this time around.)#/(this might be further complicated by the fact that imo cedric and caleb would literally always hate each other's guts)#/(it's not even about ideology anymore they just don't like each other)#/(would be fun if they had to team up for the sake of their mutual friend. chaos ensues. they come out of it hating each other more.)#/(orube in the background like 'glad you're building a support system'. being utterly unhelpful)#/(she brought popcorn that she is now sharing with elyon)
