you don't understand how uncontrollable Parasitic hunger is until you've experienced it firsthand. it feels as though your body is cannibalizing itself as it struggles to sustain the host and the Parasite within.

This piece was posted anonymously to the creative writing thread on the Parasite forum //nan.kor.po.reeuhl.paa.luhs// in 2005. It started to gain recognition after being discussed by crunchydra80nscales on their infamous WordPress. An earlier reposting to a blog called The Parasistik Critik, a Perasyt-run blog on Parasitic literature, is the source of the above transcription to plain English.
One of the things that makes this short story so interesting is the fact that it uses singular pronouns instead of plural. anyone who knows a Parasyt knows that most of us use first person plural (we/us) when talking about ourselves & our host, so the use of I stands out here. Aside from that, there are a lot of halmarks of Perasitikal writing: adjective-mashing, and a focus on body parts or organs instead of a whole body. Original text in P.Phonetics under the cut.

sometimes we feel like a burl on this town. a disease sequestered by layers of wood to keep the contamination from spreading to the rest of the tree.
maybe it's just a Parasite thing. Hard to say.

Just a host, his Parasite, and our collection of feathers. Laid out on our bed for no other reason than it was the most comfortable place to sort through a month's worth of finds. Patches, the cat, could sense our collection as a Parasyt can sense a healthy host, so we were obliged to hide these away in our room to protect them from mauling.

Breaking character for a disclaimer: this is an unreality blog. Parasites, as I have depicted them here, are basically fantasy creatures. Feel free to play along if you'd like. If not all posts with text relating to Parasitc unreality will be tagged unreality.
