He rolls his eyes. Something about being sent to do the bidding of a greater evil feels familiar to him, but he shakes it off. It’s just a prank, after all. The supposed ‘volcano god’ (who he’s certain is just Bowser) isn’t really going to eat Donkey Kong.... right?

“Come on. It’s Luigi. You’ve met me before!” He begins to wonder if he’s taken this a bit too far, but shrugs it off. Donkey Kong’s tough and can handle himself. “I guess you just didn’t know about the magic thing, did you.” he wiggles the fingers of his left hand, electricity arcing between the tips. “I have this lightning ability? And I realized, you know, electricity can be used for a ton of things, so I started to mess around to see how far I could take things, and-”

He catches himself rambling, shaking his head. “Nevermind. Doesn’t matter.” He begins the arduous task of walking his captive to the nearest warp pipe.

Semi upside-down in the magic at the question, he crosses a leg and rubs his chin at the other in formal consideration. "...Well, sure. I've met Luigi before...but he's kind've a little bitch." Which was...not exactly the vibe he was getting, but he supposed vibes didn't really determine who someone was...except the 'phases' they went through anyway. Still, he had monke brain so it was hard to keep that in mind.

Trying to swat the light around him, DK growled. "Well it's stupid. Stop doing it!"

He's just gonna punch and kick around hovering in the air because it makes him feel like he's accomplishing something. "Y'better not do Bowser's grocery list...he's the epitome of if you give a mouse a cookie. But like...it's if you give turtle a blowie."
