Are there rumors of Lapras or a regional variant of it secretly living in the deep lakes of Galar? And do you believe that they're real or just a misidentification of something else?

I've heard of them before. I lived near lakes as a kid, and my mom was super into stories, and this always freaked me out and I'd avoided lakes for weeks after that, lol

Do I think it's real? It might be. There's plenty of pokemon that we don't know about, and researchers are discovering new ones every everyday. But I'll admit, a lot of the photos have been missproven or edited.

One thing I don't agree with is that this Lapras is actually a common ancestor of Lapras and lived in lakes. With all the logic we have right now, this common ancestor of Lapras wouldn't be able to survive in our world, and the changing temperstues would kill it quickly. I mean, those things went extinct like, 66 million years ago, and them being alive and in hiding? Doesn't make sense.

I can believe these things live in the deep oceans of Galar, though. Only 20% of the ocean is explored, and pokemon that live in the water are the newest ones being found. So it's more likely that if these things do exist, it's in the ocean and not hiding in lakes.

 Twilight review time!!

• twilight

i’m not gonna lie I started out reading it as a joke, but then I really got into it. It starts out very slow, and continues very slow (unless your into fluffy nonsense romance. which i totally am). The only actual plot was crammed into the last 100 or so pages which made things feel rushed and takes away from the impact of the events. Bella is a spineless mary sue and Edward is a creep. 5/10

• New moon

As someone who struggles with codependency I really related to bella in this book. Being completely shattered when your partner leaves you is so so accurate to my experience . That being said I really dislike the way the codependency between bella and Edward is portrayed as romantic. The actual writing is on par with the last book, and unfortunately, the pattern of cramming plot into the very end is consistent until breaking dawn. Bella probably has BPD and Jacob is a pick me bitch. 6/10

• Eclipse

In my opinion, this is the most forgettable book in the entire saga. The pages blended together, the lack of plot turned my brain into mush, no joke I literally had to Google what happened so i could write this review. The actual experience of reading it wasn’t a bad one however. Just like with all the other books, it’s a quick easy read with enough drama to keep me going till the end. Twilight is the epitome of junk food escapism. Jacob is still a pick me bitch, Bella is still a spineless mary sue, and Edward is still a creep. 4/10

• breaking dawn

Ok I actually kinda liked this one? I think my enjoyment came from Bella actually having some agency once she got married and turned. She went from being this helpless victim to a girl who is actually capable of taking care of herself. Its a bad message to stay to the young girls reading this “your a stupid little girl who needs a prince to rescue her, but dont worry! Once you get married, you’ll actually be respected!”. Anyways as far as plot goes  this one was actually spread out over the entire course of the book!! The writing still wasn’t great tho. Also the whole Jacob imprinting nessie.. y i k e s. Jacob is a pdeo, bella actually has some agency, Edward is a little better in this one. 7/10

P.s if you liked twilight go watch the vampire diaries. It’s all the drama and all the love triangles. Just much,much better

you know that thing that goes "everything is sex except sex which is power"? miss fujiko understood that perfectly and she knows love is control and she needs control over her own life. and i think her 'femme fatale' characterization and her 'business woman' characterization get to that same thing, it's just that one has her get control through her Female Qualities and the other has her get it through Money. she girlbosses gaslights gatekeeps because shes not going to be made to feel small/powerless (again?) and well, who doesnt want things to go their way. who doesnt want to be in charge. who doesnt like to make the law bend under their boot. who doesnt like to feel powerful, important, feared.

and i think ok so i dont have an opinion on her backstory cause i think it fits her a lot to not have any of her past really Defined cause, who IS fujiko mine? where does the liar and manipulator end and where does the person begin? is it even worth it to make a distinction? and its made obvious in the 3rd episode of her mini series cause here she is under a fake name and a wig looking after kids (fujiko doesnt like kids) being a Nice Woman Lady and she befriends goemon that way and then she reveals shes actually Fujiko Mine, evil liar deceitful manipulator etc and its like well . . . . fujiko no offense but arent both of those personas? didnt you show some of your true colors while wearing the wig and arent you lying with your hair down? arent you both the mask and the wearer? isnt there a middleground, a compromise between the two identities? arent you just buying into the misogyny thats been projected onto you? neither madonna nor whore etc etc etc

AND... ok i have 2 more things i wanna bring up the first one is really quick so she hums and sings kinda often all things considered right? in part 1 ep 2 shes introduced singing in the shower (sorry about that scene btw) and in part 2 she befriends nessie (!!) because shes singing and the cryptid likes it, theres more exemple of this kinda thing. so my little head canon is that her dream job/fantasy job/whatever is to be a musical actress? like shes happy being a thief/spy/etc and if she wasnt one she prolly would do something else but she leans against her bike sometime and thinks well thatd be neat wouldnt it..... Performing... doing her little songs... in pretty costumes... on a stage......

i was gonna bring up her backstory episode frm part 1 but i already told you about it like 3 times so ... im still kinda mad about how part 5 wrote her cause like yeas good explore her relationship w lupin pogger but also dont make it look like SHES the one left wondering about the others feelings. its like. eveyrone knows lupin loves her he tells her every morning and zenigata knows it and everyone knows it SHES the one sending mixed signals (queen behavior) with a complicated relationship with sexuality (due to using it as a weapon/tool like dont even get me started on how her refusing to kiss lupin CAN be read as her refusing to TRICK him because she uses her sexuality to TRICK people and its become so hard to dissociate the two) wtf was i saying. OH YE AND SO HER asking HIM what his feelings for her are is out of character and nonsensical he shouldve been the one to be like "hey fujicakes so u saved my life this is poggers and all but i havent seen you in 9months, last time you said you needed space from me and now ure just flirting like nothing happened? what the fuck?" and her arc being you know. . . . having to be honest with people for once in her life wouldve been way more interesting than putting her in a literal cage in a wedding dress sitting on her ass :)

BUT i dont wanna make it look like her whole character is tied to lupie they couldve gone w something entirely different too. what if they made her pass the bechdel test for once PLEASE give her homoerotic interactions with the (adult) npc girl this time please please please youre NOTHING

IN CONCLUSION: I'm not sure what I'm looking for anymore / I just know that I'm harder to console / I don't see who I'm trying to be instead of me / But the key is a question of control (depeche mode a pain that im used to)

my opinion of them: really not my thing. hes bland and tasteless and lacking his own distinct, unique oomph that makes him memorable. hes an overly-adult-like mary sue who doesnt know how to carry his own show. hes a below-decent main character at best, but hey, the show needed a main character and he happened to fit a quarter of the job criteria, so here we are.

im not complaining about him being a main character though; there are plenty of minor characters for me to like and favor out there. i just wish se would give him a distinct, enjoyable personality to go along with his surrealistically, absurdly perfect football and problem-solving skills.

It’s admirable to be vulnerable, I’m probably most compatible with another Libra, when trying to hold a balance try to align your shoulders slightly ahead of your hips, if someone doesn’t care about you it doesn’t mean you’re a bad person, increase the outline size of smaller map features then you can see them if you zoom in and out.

Favorite book and why? uhhh Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince because that was prime HP days and I love all the ramp up in that book and I was always a big Harry/Ginny shipper.

Is there a song you listen to a lot, but don’t know why yet? I love this because it shows how you can love a song a lot but find a much deeper meaning later on. Which has definitely happened to me! I feel like I knew why I love a lot of the songs I listen to, but right now probably Extraordinary Rendition by Sons of an Illustrious Father. I like but I don’t know why yet.

A pet peeve people don’t pick up on? It’s mostly all boil down to other people not having any god dang consideration or thoughtfulness for the other people around them and only think of themselves.

I never thought it was something I could learn from scratch and especially with having the body that I have.

its that time of the week again. i think cilla is hosting again. callon and tyto are also close to front, and i think kei might be as well.

the main room of the house is warm with an echo mood, and smells like tea and sugar cookies. perien is on the couch with amelia and floret, and is positively glowing. kye really enjoyed the fic we commissioned. gabbi is sitting backwards on ethan’s chair. haze, for once, is sitting on the stairs, almost being social. echo is up and talking, and the light coming through the window behind her almost makes her look holy.

it seems like the full-size aquarium is still a work in progress but rayn is present anyway, in a comedically large fish bowl on the floor.

upstairs, ethan is with riley and nessie. theyre discussing washi tapes, and riley is complaining that we don’t have any pastel highlighters yet. nessie isn’t super interested in the journal-keeping business, but she has some strong aesthetic opinions, so she’s involved in the conversation. raliel is missing. they tell me wav had something important to do.

remm is in vir own room. the door is mostly closed again, but ve still seems happier than usual.

back downstairs and into vex’s workshop, vex and jace are talking about scrapbooking again as well. jace is saying that they should talk to riley & co as well but it seems like vex isn’t too interested in sharing eir artistic process, even if ey has grown accustomed to jace’s consistent presence.

venic is lying down in the back room, one arm over kyr face. when i talk to kyr, kyr replying grumble is barely coherent, but i can sense an air of melodrama: kye’ll be ok in the end.

asking after vaccine gets me fast-traveled to their room in azdien’s basement, where they’re staring contemplatively at the jellyfish wall and tallying fire emblem weapons we need in our current playthrough. kestrel walks in, and complains that ailecent won’t come down to the basement in this building, so they should meet elsewhere. vaccine doesn’t pay aer much mind. i sneak out of the room before they can start arguing in earnest.

(callon is also thinking about fire emblem, as well as mix tapes and system maintenance, but ey is background fronting rather than present in headspace)

heading upstairs, vyrn seems to be cheerful again. xe’s literally climbing on kisoquine, who is making halfhearted attempts to shake xyr off. i give them a warning that if they turn to full-on roughhousing, they’ll have to go outside.

looping around to the library, tobias is bragging to elster, who is listening with good humour. through the back hallway and micah pulls their temptation routine again. drohen, for once, is not in the dining room.

instead, it, as well as trysten and jody, are upstairs in trysten’s room. trysten is painting while holding idle conversation with jody.

darion takes the moment of quiet to play with sandiles, or think about it.

azdien, in vaer reading room, watches darion with some amusement, but doesn’t say anything.

nitexx is in the treehouse again, absolutely wearing aculeatus’s look and sitting atop the tv stand/stage while telling dramatic stories to kayden (fascinated), nero (doubtful), kitt (bemused), and kei (uninterested). vite seems to be at the base of the tree, working on zier bike. it’s still sort of at an awkward transitional point, but it’s starting to look cool. vite seems very flattered, almost bashful, that i think so.

in their own house, corian is talking about kin stuff to nine. callon pops in to tell them off a bit, but i doubt ey can affect anything. ailecent is sitting on the railing of the porch, looking out at the lightly falling snow.

nika is down by the pond, testing the ice. it shouldn’t quite be ready yet, but i think skye has been helping it freeze faster, so nika is just about ready to lace up sier skates, even though the pond is hardly big enough to do more than tight loops.

skye is actually sitting on the bench by the pond. tyto is beside faer, standing, and im surprised to note aloe out and about, standing cautiously on skye’s shoulder. ae tells me that the snow thinly coating the ground is pure, so ae’ll be fine even if ae falls.

i find raliel out by the cliffs, looking contemplative. wav doesn’t seem inclined to talk about what’s on waves mind. i quietly wonder if wav is just pondering homestuck hnk au.

checking our list, i notice that i haven’t seen yacinthe yet. sending out a quick query shows that ce’s in cer room, on the second level of the treehouse. i wonder if ce’s always had a room there... i dont think so? i can’t tell right now whether ce filled out the forth corner or simply borrowed someone else’s room.

 out on the mountain, gail is still in a freakishly good mood, and asks that i find a recording of the ice screams for them to listen to.
