Yandere Listeners

Again, it's mostly soft yans. But I wanted to explore the ideas a little more.

I'll be using they/them pronouns since the Listeners have characterization that I can reposition.

The most murdery/violent is probably Boo.

Have this as a little apology for my lack of posts. ^^;

honestly, it only took a moment for them want to start following David

usually though, it's not in their MO or yandere type to be stalking - but after they've seen him again and again so many times... they just accept it as is

even actively looking for him and used their charm and natural charisma to be able to make him believe that it was a coincidence

lowkey delusional; most definitely thinks of their meetings as fated

honestly... Michael might have the worst experience in this timeline because the minute he presented himself as a possible threat to their relationship with David, they're ready to cash in his life warranty

and steal their cat back

they adore the wolf pack and quietly considers killing for them, and often; it's pretty darn likely that they could get away with it too - after all...

they're only a delicate little unempowered human. how could they have killed someone so much stronger than them?

like Sweetheart's asshole coworkers, Quinn, and so on are probably... not safe?

they don't usually end up going through with killing after the mention of seers and telepaths being a thing; but there are some rather twisted ideas in their head on how they'd deal with Quinn

he is most definitely not prepared when he goes after them

they learned everything they could about vampires and used every exploitable thing to use against him

he was lucky he was caught, Angel would have somehow turned his ribs into a knife holder and turned his spine into a belt for what he's done

Caelum is probably pretty concerned with all these... thoughts that pass through their feelings -

but they haven't ever acted on any of them, so it should be okay!

... right?

Boo (YuuriVoice)

they're unsurprisingly willing to kill for their boys, that was definitely after their brief internal rage at Seth reappearing and raising hell

honestly, when when they seeked him out in the woods - his fate hinged on how he would have reacted to their confrontation...

it was likely he would've easily been poisoned and body disposed of, if not for the fact that Boo was still emotionally mature and fully self-aware

their bloodlust fell away when they see how broken up he truly was and that he just... wanted to move on

so they helped, despite their obsession screeching at them not to

when Seth was jumped, when you saw him busted up - that was it

he was under your protection, and you promised to yourself that you'd gut Derek like a fish given the first chance

you would see the son of a fuck dead if it was the last thing you did

even Charlie and Jessie weren't necessarily safe, being as you could still be reasoned with - it was good you didn't have to kill them

"that boy's got a family now and ain't nothing gonna take it from him" is the line that saved Jess from your wrath in particular

you were sure you couldn't help Seth heal his poor little heart from this loss

but if either of them made sure that harm could never come to your boys again - you would absolutely wipe them too

the only people that are aware is the storyweaver Finn

and Derek, who is most definitely terrified of you, regardless if he's been killed in another storyline (the percentage of you killing him vs. everyone else is high, so you've been the end of him many times)

there are bloodier timelines - ones with Seth disappearing after the first confrontation, ones where Jessie is presumably wiped by Derek, where Charlie was allegedly to be caught by another thug for bring a rat... Just ones with you with another body under your belt

it's really good that Alphonse and Seth never find out about this streak of cruelty - you could never bring it in yourself to hurt them after learning to love them so deeply

when Al warns other people to be more concerned about what you could do over what he would do is more true than he could ever know

everybody is real fucking lucky that you weren't Sweeney Todd's Ms. Lovett, because the body count on you could make enough meat pies to fill a house

Cheeky (Scythe Audio)

bitches should be absolutely praying that they don't drive this little lightbulb over the edge, because they are asking for all the wrong things to happen

Cheeky is a pacifist for the most part, they fight to defend, to make sure they're doing their part in saving the world and can instants when people need to die for the greater good

but people need to stop testing them

the yan trait thing wss probably triggered through their isolation as an experiment, realizing how alone they were

seeing V again and being able to live with him was enough for them to grow that attachment; Cheeky is also very lucid and try everything to stamp out their tendencies

L in particular was saved because she was just so very important to their V, despite their burning jealousy

the Atrocity was actually surpised at the fact their utter fury and bloodlust at the loss of the children, that it was all pointed at him as well

it also amused him as he taunted them for being kindred spirits

at least until they broke out of his mind control with the blood boiling wrath they felt at being compared to him in any manner

Atrocity is even taken aback by the animosity

"How can we be alike if you have no one? When no one ever loved you in the first place?"

they stabbed him right in that sore spot, having seen into his mind for just a second

their light powers are nearly bolstered by this love for V and L and their hits actually hurt... they hurt a lot

but they're still not as skilled yet, so the other two still stepped in...

maybe it's best they learn how to channel this rage of their's; with any luck, they could do more permanent damage

they aim to keep him Atrocity as a toothless head and watch him die slowly...

hopefully in time

but first, they have a bone to pick with Anima

Story Setup Eldritchrune Masterpost

While exploring the ruins of Card Castle, Kris stumbles across a bound god of chaos hiding just under the surface...a foe way more formidable than any they've faced yet!

PHEW I swear, it feels like I've been working on this particular scene forever! Been distracted by many things...other comics, continued wrist troubles, winter break, etc... but finally, it's done and here! This one is probably the most gnarly one yet in terms of body horror, so heed the warning tags!

The latter half will be out tomorrow!

Page 1

Panel 1 - A wide shot as Kris, Ralsei, and Susie make their way through the card kingdom castle…a wrecked ruin, with half-broken towers and ripped banners fluttering in the open air. Lancer sits happily on top of Susie’s head. “Are we there yet?” asks Susie. Lancer replies with a simple “No.”

Panel 2 - Closer on Kris as they look downwards. Something has caught their attention. In the background, Susie and Lancer repeat the exchange: “Are we there yet?” / “No.”

Panel 3 - Kris notices what looks like a trail of parchment torn into different shapes, leading down into a lower level of the ruins. 

Panel 4 - Kris begins to follow the scrap paper trail across large stones, straying off of the pain path through the castle ruins.

Panel 5 - Ralsei notices that Kris has wandered away from them. Susie and Lancer also look on in the background. “Kris? Where are you going?” asks Ralsei.

Panel 6 - Kris points at the scrap trail leading down into the rocks, still focused on it. “The old shopkeep, Seam…they mentioned something about a path cut from pages…”

Panel 1 - Side view of Ralsei as he watches Kris descend down, and cautiously holds up a hand in warning. “It’s not wise to wander too far off-course, Kris!” he says. 

Panel 2 - Kris doesn’t seem to pay attention to the warning. In a wide shot, we see them following the trail down a series of large stone steps that seem to be shaped into a spiral. At the bottom of the spiral is another stone with unknown markings on it. “They said there could be something useful to us at the end of it…” Kris says.

Panel 3 - Wider shot of Kris now at the bottom of the spiral. Ralsei, Susie and Lancer watch warily from above, back on the main path.

Panel 4 - Kris approaches the stone at the center of the spiral. It seems to be covered in moss, but something else catches their attention first–

Panel 5 - Closer on the stone, it shows that it has markings on it: a cross, divided up into the four card suits. Kris leans in closer to observe and brush the dirt from the stone. “There’s something here…” they say.

Panel 6 - From high above, Ralsei sees Kris focusing on the stone in the spiral. “Kris? Hang on just a second…” he says, holding out a hand in warning.

Panel 7 - Closeup on Kris’s hand as they brush against the marked stone. Their thumb touches a trigger hidden on the side of the stone, which gives a sharp ‘CLICK’.

Panel 1 - Kris lets out a surprised yell as very suddenly, they plummet down beneath the stone–

Panel 2 - Their yell continues as they vanish into what is revealed to be a sudden trap door, opened right below where they were standing. 

Panel 3 - The remaining Fun Gang look on with shock and surprise, and call out as Kris vanishes. Susie gives a shocked “Woah!” and Ralsei cries out “KRIS!”

Panel 4 - A vertical panel as Kris plummets down into open darkness, their limbs flailing. Light from above shines on them as they fall.

Panel 5 - With a grunt of pain, Kris lands on what appears to be a sandy hill–

Panel 6 - And continues to tumble down the hill, sand trailing behind them–

Panel 7 - Very wide shot as Kris’s fall continues, showing that they are sliding down an enormous sand hill, like the inside of an enormous hourglass. Only a single shaft of light shines from where they fell. Otherwise the area is empty darkness.

Panel 1 - Kris’s finally slides to a stop somewhere in the sand. They grit their teeth, and try to get back onto their feet. 

Panel 2 - Kris suddenly springs back up, eyes wide in shock, as a strange, bellowing laughter booms around them: “UUH HEE HEE HEE…”

Panel 3 - Kris looks ahead of them…at the very bottom of the sand pit, like an antlion at the bottom of a pit trap, sits what appears to be a bulb, or a closed circus tent. 

Panel 4 - Wider shot as Kris gets to their feet, very wary. “Who’s there?”

Panel 5/6/7 - Multiple panels as the enormous circus tent moves, and begins to unfurl itself…showing massive hands made of bone and stretched tent material, like sinewy skin. Each bony finger is tipped with an enormous scythe. The creature lifts itself up enough to show the a jester’s head, hanging upside down from the bottom of the tent. The jester’s face sports slit eyes, multiple hoop earrings on its pointed ears, and a smile of jagged teeth. 

Panel 8 - Wide shot as Kris stands tiny before the enormous form of Jevil - a creature of bones and tent skin and scythes, balanced precariously upside-down over what appears to be a bottomless pit. Jevil looks at Kris and declares, “WELCOME, WELCOME, LITTLE LOST HUMAN! YOUR FREEDOM IS WITHIN REACH!”

Panel 1 - Kris looks up in fear and confusion at the giant creature, and tries to step back. “What are you?!” they ask.

Panel 2 - Focus on Jevil’s upside down face as he grins back at Kris, and says, “A GOD, LOST HUMAN! A GOD OF CHAOS, CHAOS!”

Panel 3 - Kris stands small against the chaos god as he continues to grin down them. “COME CLOSER, AND WE SHALL ENGAGE IN SUCH MERRIMENT!”

Panel 4 - Kris eyes the enormous scythes at the end of the fingers, and continues to step back, extremely cautious. “A god, is it? I think I’d prefer the rest of my party be here for any ‘merriment’,” they reply.

Panel 5 - Jevil twists his head to the side with curiosity and glee, and replies. “I INSIST! I SEE YOUR SOUL DESIRES CHAOS! WHAT EXCITEMENT, WE ARE KINDRED SPIRITS!”

Panel 6 - Focus on Jevil’s scythe fingers as they begin to move through the sand, creaking with the effort. He is beginning to spin.

Panel 7 - Shot from above on Jevil as he spins faster and faster, the tent body and splayed scythe fingers blurring into a hypnotic spiral. The wind howls around him with the spinning.

Panel 8 - Kris jolts forward as the winds pick up around them. The spinning is creating a gyre, drawing them in closer.

Page 6

Panel 1 - Kris tries to slow their slide as Jevil continues to spin and spin, drawing them in closer. The winds and movement are hard to resist. “LET US PLAY, PLAY!” Jevil cries in delight. “TRUE FREEDOM AWAITS YOU!”

Panel 2 - Kris looks up at the revolving god, unable to stop their slide through the sand. The winds whip their hair and cowl around them. However…

Panel 3 - “If I can get past those blades and make the jump…” Kris thinks to themself, as the scene shows Jevil’s smiling face through the whirlwinds.

Panel 4 - Closeup on Kris. They grimace to themself as the wind continues to buffet them and pull them in, and finish the thought: “...One good swing should sever the head and end this!”

Panel 5 - Kris pulls out their sword as they continue to slide closer to the edge of the gyre. Jevil looks on as they say aloud, “I don’t know that I trust a bound god’s concept of freedom.”

Panel 6 - Jevil tilts his head down at them, still smiling as always, and replies, “BOO HOO  HOOEE HEE! AND DOES YOUR SOUL KNOW IT?”

Panel 1/2/3 - Multiple panels as Kris slides down the sand, holding their sword at the ready. They ready their sword in another panel, back to the camera, facing down a laughing Jevil. The final panel includes a closeup of their hand gripping the sword, although their hand is shaking. Across all panels, Jevil continues to taunt them: “IN THE BELLY OF A ROAMING BEAST, IN THE OWNERSHIP OF A DEMON PRINCE, IN THE RIGID RULES OF YOUR LIGHT WORLD? IS IT THERE?”

Panel 4 -  The scythe fingers swing by in a blur as Kris slides into the gyre, and pulls their arm back, ready to strike with their sword–

Panel 5 - A black and white abstract panel - something sharp slices through the darkness, and strikes home.

Panel 6 - Closeup on Kris’s face as they look shocked into silence–

Panel 7 - And the camera pulls out to reveal that their sword arm is gone, sliced off completely at the shoulder. They can only look down at the stump where their arm once was in horror.

Panel 8 - Kris screams as they’re thrown helplessly into the center of the whirling gyre, blood streaming behind them from their severed arm. Jevil faces them with glee and declares, “NO, NO! YOUR FREEDOM IS HERE!”

Panel 1 - The panels are jagged now, coming apart along with the world itself. Kris is trapped in the searing whirlwind, orbiting around Jevil’s spinning head. The world is a blurred tornado. Jevil cries, “A SIMPLE CHAOS IS ALL YOU NEED! UNRAVEL MIND, BODY AND SOUL!”

Panel 2 - Kris is subjected to the god’s command. They scream into the void as their body is unraveled in the gyre, starting at the stump and spreading out to the rest of them in strips of cloth, flesh and bone. 

Panel 3 - A massive panel as Kris is completely torn apart at the seams. Their glowing soul is revealed as their body is peeled away in stips from them, leaving only a few bones and muscles trying to stay together. 

As Kris is pulled apart, Jevil’s voice rings out: “SEE, SEE HOW ALL THE RULES AND ORDERS HAVE TRAPPED YOU? HURT YOU AND KILLED YOU?” In the strips of Kris’s body pulled apart are scenes that seem to confirm Jevil’s worldview: Empire guards chasing down Kris as a young child. Toriel kindly shooing Kris away from a pie they were interested in. Asgore keeping Kris from plants he knows are dangerous. Kris on the altar as they are sacrificed to the demon. Kris giving up their soul to Ralei. Kris being devoured by Susie. Kris trapped at a door by Mr. Society and Mr. Elegance, keeping them from advancing with rules. Kris being revived, again and again, by Ralsei’s control over their soul. “BUT HE HAS SHOWN ME, IT ALL MEANS NOTHING, NOTHING!”

Panel 1 - The panels continue to be jagged and harsh as the rest of Kris’s body is completely obliterated in the whirlwind, leaving only their soul spiraling in the gyre. Jevil’s voice continues: “NO RULES, NO HURT, NO PRISONS FOR YOU! SHARE YOUR JOY WITH ME!”

Panel 2 - Kris’s soul begins to break under the strain of Jevil’s version of joy: a swirling mess of eyes, teeth, claws, screaming faces, beasts and sinew and armor. They all close in on their lost soul in a mess of chaos and madness.

Panel 3 - As the winds turn to pure darkness, Kris’s soul begins to dissolve in the gyre as well, broken in the relentless chaos. Jevil’s voice rings out once more: “SHARE YOUR SOUL WITH ME, A TRUE CHAOS, CHAOS!”

Panel 4 - As Kris’s soul is nearly dissolved and lost in complete blackness, another voice cries out: “KRIS!” From the darkness, Ralsei’s glowing eyes and fiery claws reach out to grab Kris’s soul before it’s lost.

One Final Waltz

Pt 5 of Danny is the 99th attempted clone Tim made of Kon. Danny's 7th birthday.

Danny has truly enjoyed his life with his new family. He still has no idea how he went from a full dead teenager dying again to a year old kryptonian clone baby, but he's not mad about it at all. He's treated like the most precious treasure here.

He's allowed to be himself in all of his "weirdness". He can use his powers freely and experiment with his gender expression without fear of being torn apart by mad scientists. All his special interests are respected and encouraged, too. And they take his physical AND mental health seriously.

It's great! He knows so many new people with a wide range of powers, and while he doesn't have access to his ghost powers at all, he still can ask about similar powers incase he starts developing them later or becomes a ghost again without anyone questioning it. He's just seen as a curious kid, and the metas in his life are happy to share.

He also knows his family would notice instantly if he died again. Uncle Duke and Uncle Jason would clock him by sight or touch alone, since they can see/sense his connection to ectoplasm, or Lazarus Pit Waters. The rest wouldn't take much longer to notice. The "Bat" portion of his family are glorified stalkers, but he can't say anything, he lived with them full time for a while, and the behaviors have rubbed off on him. The non-Bat portions of his family tease the Bat portion about it, in a fun way.

Danny used all of his childish power to get everyone to be nicer. No one wants the silent treatment from a bubbly toddler. Danny isn't sorry about the manipulation, his family is happier for it. He also teamed up with his dad to get everyone into therapy.

All that to say, he loves it here. He's loved by his new family in a way his original family never did. The difference is never more stark than on days like today. It's his birthday! He's turning 7! Sure, he's technically about 20 mentally, but he's physically and emotionally 7. His family doesn't know about his past life and think his mentally maturity is because of Tim fucking up, which makes Danny feel a little guilty, but not enough to come clean. Besides, neither he or his dad are treated poorly for Danny's weird behavior, and there hasn't been a reason to come clean.

Back to the birthday thing! Most of Danny's family are with him window shopping in one of the safer cities. He thinks it's Uncle Roy's city? Something about there being new stores Danny might like and being petty to Roy's not-dad? Danny's here for the petty. Mr. Queen seems like a douche any of the times he's seen or interacted with him.

"Hey, Danny?" Bernard calls slightly for his attention. Bernard is one of his dad's boyfriends. Yes, "one of". Danny is kind of proud the fact his dad has a healthy love life now. Tim is the definition of a disaster bisexual. It took Danny and his favourite uncles nearly a year to get Tim to realize he likes guys. But in a hilariously turn of events, Tim realized he liked Bernard before he realized he likes Kon. Danny's not sure how that happened. "Look over there. There's a cool looking skirt."

Danny looks where he's pointing and sees the coolest skirt. It's a high-low cut and mainly colourful space print with pretty black lace detailing. There's no way the one on display would fit Danny, but maybe they'd have one small enough inside?

He turns hopeful eyes to his amused dad. "Yes, we can go look. Just don't run off."

"Yay!" Danny cheers. His family starts heading towards the store's entrance when an explosion goes off nearby. He's suddenly in Bernard's arms. As the "normal" civilian, he's tasked to get Danny away from danger when things inevitably hit the fan.

When the smoke clears, he sees Ra's fucking Al Gul and a bunch of ninjas standing in front of their group. A ballsy move. Danny has overheard 2/3s the people here discussing how much they want to straight murder the guy. He's not really sure when it happened, but his family is convinced Ra's is the reason he's tied to ectoplasum. He's made no move to correct that notion, why should he? He absolutely hates the creep and doesn't hide it.

And despite Danny's clear hatred, the evil old man keeps trying to kidnap him. Danny thinks it started as a way to get back at Tim. To either scare Tim or train Danny into being his lap dog and fight his family or something. Danny's not really sure of the details of what the asshole's plan was. Whatever it was, it changed the moment he learned of Danny's connection to the "Lazarus Pit". Now he wants to turn Danny into the "perfect heir" and/or experiment on that connection. It's actually really scary. Just another reason for Danny to hate him.

"Hand over the boy." Ra's tries to intimate Bernard, who just sneers. He's a true Gothamite.

"Fuck off, Ra's!" Tim snarls, taking out 3 ninjas. Oracle will wipe any evidence of "The Waynes" fighting ninjas later, so Danny isn't too worried. Especially because the metas and least likely to be noticed sneak away and come back in their hero/vigilante costumes before any real fighting happens. They take over the fighting while the "civilians" start acting like civilians for the cameras to lighten Auntie Barbie's work load.

Cops are called because it'd be suspicious if they weren't, and the "civilians" are saved! Ooo!

Danny hugs Bernard, careful to not hug too tightly. "I hate him."

"I know, baby." Bernard rubs Danny's back.

Tim leans in close, kissing the top of Danny's head. "I'm sorry he ruined our day out, sweetheart."

Danny nods solemnly, "It's not your fault he's a creep. He needs so much help. Mentally."

Tim and Bernard chuckle. Bart zips over, dressed as a civilian again. "Hey! Why don't we head to the Tower? We can play in the gym and eat cake!"

"Power Tag?" Danny asks hopefully.

"Only if you keep your powers within reason." Tim says like he does every time Danny asks. "Within reason" means Danny and Kon aren't allowed to fly where no one can reach or lazer anyone or freeze people to the floor, Bart isn't allowed to go too fast, and no one is allowed to use too much superstrength. The amount of speed or strength changes as Danny gets older and if non-metas play. It's baby steps for him to learn combat safely. They still have a lot of with all the things they're allowed to do. Danny and Kon are allowed their flight and can freeze the floor to make people slip, Bart is allowed to vibrate himself through anything not living, and Cassie is allowed to use normal rope to lasso them.

It's even funner when Roy, with dummy arrows, and/or the different Bats join. They all twist and jump around the gym, causing effortless chaos. The game is significantly harder when the Bats join, but it's still super fun.

The things he learned during those games have saved his skin multiple times in Gotham. Powers or no powers.

"Just remember to take out your earrings. You don't want them to get caught or break." Bernard reminds him, carrying him towards a Zeta tube.

Danny gasps, "I almost forgot!"

He wiggles to be set down once they're through the zeta, a device he hates, but is used to after 4 years of using it. He takes off his dangily moon earrings and holds them out to Bernard.

"Can you hold onto them, Baba?" The term was suggested by Damian when Danny struggled to find a third distinct way to call someone dad. Tim is Dad, Kon is Pa, and Bernard is Baba. They all do their best to co-parent Danny, so he wanted them to know he appreciates all three of them for it.

"Of course," Bernard slips them into his pocket. Bernard never joins power tag, so Danny's earrings are safe with him.

"Thank you-" Danny is cut off by Kon sweeping him up in a hug and twirling them in several circles. Danny squealing in joy the whole time.

"I'm so sorry, honey!!" Kon stops his spinning and hugs Danny with enough force to break a normal kid's ribs. "That crusty moldy bisket always shows up at the worst times!"

"Is there ever a good time?" Bernard snarks, making Danny giggle.

"No, there is not!" Kon kisses Danny's forehead. Danny loves all the physical affection his parents are willing to give him. They hand it out like candy on Halloween, and it doesn't hurt like Jack and Maddie's affection did 4 of 5 times.

"Dad and Baba said we can play power tag! Do you think Dad or my Aunts or Uncles will play?" Danny vibrates in Kon's hold.

"I'm not sure about your Dad, he wasn't feeling well earlier, but I'm sure the rest will agree if you ask."

"Is Dad getting sick?" Danny asks. Tim is prone to getting sick because of his lack of spleen. He hopes his dad wasn't pretending to be fine while they were out.

"I'm not sure. We'll keep an eye on him, alright? And if we see any weird behavior, we'll make him lay down." Kon says lowly, so no one should be able to hear.

"Okay!" Danny whispers back, before wiggling out of his Pa's arms and declaring, "I'm going to ask people to play now!"

The rest of the day was fun! He got everyone, but Bernard, Tim, and Bruce, to play. It's absolute chaos. After the game, Danny opens presents. (Everyone apparently dropped their gifts off at the tower before they went out.) He now owns 5 new rocket/spaceship models, 3 tomes about the supernatural, 2 newly released books on astrophysics, a beautiful bright green dress, punny socks, a giant green ghost plushy, and the space skirt from the window! Uncle Jason apparently grabbed it after everyone was headed to the Tower. It's a little big, but it means he can wear it for longer! He puts it on over his shorts, the tail drags a little, and the shorts are the only reason it's staying up at all, but Danny loves it. He hugs everyone and thanks them with the biggest smile.

Alfred brings the nicest cake Danny has ever seen to the Tower. It's a work of art, Danny almost doesn't want to cut it. Almost. It's delicious. Alfred gave everyone permission to eat a slice before dinner.

The only problem when dinner is served is that Tim suddenly bolts for the nearest bathroom. Bernard is the only one allowed to go in, while the rest hover outside. They can hear him throw up. Everyone is really worried. After about 10 minutes, Bernard half carries an exhausted Tim out of the bathroom.

"I'm not sick." Is the first thing out of his mouth, which justifiably has people shouting in disbelief. Tim waves a calming hand at them. "No, really, I'm not sick. I was going to wait at least a few days to say something, but that plan is out the window. "

"Wait a few days-? Tim, what?" Uncle Jason has his worried angry voice out, and Danny usually hugs him when he hears it, but he's too busy staring at his dad. Something trying to click in his brain, but he's not quite sure what.

"I'm not sick or injured. I'm pregnant." The commotion is instant. It's mostly excited shouting. Danny glances at his Baba and Pa's faces. Bernard looks surprised but happy while Kon looks like he's about to pass out, a mix of fear and excitement on his face. So Danny isn't worried about them.

Danny trots up to a tired and slightly wary Tim. "I'm going to be a big brother?"

Tim slips out of Bernard's hold to kneel down to be eye level with Danny. He gives Danny a sad smile. "If all goes well, then yes. I want to keep them, but my body might try to reject them. I hope they make it. You'll be the best big brother."

Danny hugs his dad. "I hope so. I hope we get to meet them."

Kon and Bernard sit on the floor on either side of them. Excited vibes surrounding them.

"Oh!" Steph shouts, "That's why you've been asking us to cover most of your fieldwork this week! We all thought it was odd, but thought you were just planning something for Danny's birthday!"

Tim chuckles, "I was, but I was also trying to limit physical stress. This is going to be a difficult pregnancy, but I want it."

"... At least you got laid this time." Steph teases.

"Steph!!" Several people scold her about being inappropriate with "little ears" present. Danny ignores them. He instead, using flight and a touch of superstrength, pulls his Dad to his feet.

"Danny?" Tim curiously asks, but doesn't stop Danny from pulling him through the room and gently sitting him on the couch.

"What food made you throw up?"

"Danny, it's your birthday. Go have fun. You don't need to worry about me or the baby." Tim tries, but Danny is stubborn.

"It's dinnertime. Meaning the party should be ending anyways. So after dinner, we're going home and maybe watching a movie while I work on one of my new models. After that, it's bedtime." Danny sternly tells him, ignoring the rest of the family's giggles. "So what food was it?"

The rest of the day/night goes exactly how he plans. He crawls into his parents' bed for snuggles and falls asleep listening to Tim's heartbeat.

Tim is banned from field work for the entirety of his pregnancy, and he has to deal with everyone being extremely protective of him. He's only mildly annoyed by the behavior. He's more grateful for it than anything. The pregnancy is hell on him. It nearly killed him, and he almost lost the pregnancy several times, but he doesn't regret it one bit when he's holding his ridiculous blond child. So first, he had twins with heteropaternal superfecundation, but then they merged into one baby with tetragametic chimerism. Meaning this single baby is rare and odd in so many ways, but that sums up their family.

Danny is infatuated with his new sibling. Helping out and "babysitting" the baby any chance he gets. (No adult actually leaves the newborn alone with a 7 going on 8 year old. No matter how mature the almost 8 year old is.) He's determined to be the best big brother. He remembers what his Dad said when he was a baby. A Drake protects what they claim as their's viciously. And Danny plans to do just that.

Tim is so proud. Bernard and Kon are amused and exasperated when Danny wrecks anyone who is even a little mean about his sibling. They're all more scared (for him mostly) when he freezes and shatters the limbs of Ra's Al Gul whe the fucker gets too close to the baby. He's not dead, but he's not recovering from what was done.

The Joker gets a similar treatment when he shows up while Jason is babysitting Danny. Danny sees how scared Uncle Jason is of him.

He does get lectured by his grandpa, but Danny doesn't care what Bruce has to say. He also doesn't see the problem, didn't kill them. Uncle Jason gets it. He spoils the hell out of Danny

Tail prosthetic time!!

I have this headcanon that Killer had his tail chopped off. He can live fine without it but it's a nasty reminder and makes it harder to balance without concentrating. Eventually he could get a prosthetic to help with that, also as a cosmetic thing, I think he likes to switch out his prosthetics for different colors and stuff. This is his knife attachement lol

So, when I said I'm in a heavy "draw Cheated" mood, I meant it. And when I said that I love to make my favorite characters suffer, I also meant it. I spent about 5-6 hours making these two illustrations, and I actually feel really bad for Cheated now—
