Quick summery of Bloody Tiger's lore

since my fic is getting slightly complicated and not everyone that is looking thru my blog has read it I'll drop here some basic information about Tiger's story. It's very abridged and very toned-down btw, and it also doesn't take itself seriously.

Azedi, when she was born her parents gave her the name Jamila that she later had got rid off because it was lame, was born in Herat, Afghanistan 1970. Her father wanted a boy really bad and when she came out he repudiated his wife, that from then on used baby Azedi to physically vent on (abuse), and became totally absent from Azedi's childhood, appearing now and there to traumatize. Azedi grows with no one taking care of her, beside her grandma during her first years of life but that icon died fast, and when his father gets some other women knocked up, she takes care of her siblings, that end up becoming 10. When she was 12, her father makes a very surprising comeback in her life, but only because he wants to sell her to the marriege market. Azedi, OBVIOUSLY, refuses, but even after fighting she is forced to marry her uncle, a 60 y/o that lived the other side of the country. After a month of that horrible abuse Azedi snaps and stabs her "husband" multiple times during a nervous meltdown, kiling him. She runs away scared and finds safety in a nearby forest, where she stays hidden for a few months, getting in touch with nature. Nothing lasts forever, and Azedi is found by a group of soldiers that had their small base nearby, what a coincidence that base was a satellite base for the XOF. When they find this girl they do the most reasonable thing ever, they keep her with them. But trainging her to use weapons and to fight, but also treating her inhumanly. After two years Azedi escaped from this guys (and she also kills them all via poisoning but that's a spoiler for the fic), and went back to her forest.

Venom, in a mission had to enter that satellite XOF base, but he founds it completely empty. Azedi notices his presence, and in fear that he would have found her and took her to another military base, for more abuse, she decided to try to kill him. Obv that doesn't work and Big Boss takes her to base. After a few days of keeping her in a cell because of not knowing what to do with her, after she had told them what she knew but she was extremellyviolent, they decide to keep her with them. After a few weeks she starts to act more humanly and more like a 14-year-old, after getting comfortable there. But then she meets the little British Gamer boy Eli, that after seeing her fight against a soldier, wants her help to escape the base. She says yes because she, even if she liked that place, didn't like living under someone, and accepted. Eli thought that after using her he could easily discard her and move on, but oopsie daisy they fall in love (they were the only pre-teens there it was obvious that it would have heppened). They get together (sorta), and after an importan event which I can't talk about because spoilers, Azedi and Eli fly away, with Tretij help, taking with the the Sahelantropus. They live happily in their island until that fatass Venom comes and ruins the fun so they have to leave. When they leave the island, they have a fight. Azedi wants to rebuilt a normal future for them, far from war, but Eli wants to go bomb people instead. So they break up, promising to meet again tho, and go their own ways.

Azedi arrives in New York and she goes round for a couple of years, trying to find a job, someone to house her for a while, school, etc. But she ends up homeless, without a penny and almost dying of hunger. After a few years she ends up becoming a thief because there wasn't really any better option but she gets arrested. She lives in prison for 5 years and after a while she escaped. When she returned to the city, she abandoned completely all her hopes of Eli returning and saving her from that awful life and having their happy ending. She decides instead to use the only thing she is good at to make money: killing. So she becomes an hired killer, and works this dirty job she hates for years. It gave her enough money to live but her ends up waisting a lot of them, due to her depression causing her to end up in addictions.

After 19 years from their breakup on a legendary night Eli, now Liquid, and Azedi met again. After an emotional moment Liquid makes her join the Foxhaund squad, because he realizes that he made a worst mistake letting her go. They get together (AGAIN), but this time they get wed. The shadow Moses incident happens and I can't continue from here because I have to write it in my fic yet.

Basically, Azedi had a very succesfull and satisfying life, fulfilling her pourposes and always being able to do what pleased her <3

Snape was the third person

Spoilers up to Y5Ch21. Also, a long post ahead.

Which person, you ask? You know, the one mentioned here:

I’ve seen some speculations that this line is about Duncan, however, it doesn’t really make much sense to me. First of all, there is a possibility that it was written after Duncan’s death. The timeline of Jacob’s actions is really fuzzy, we know that they were working on two vaults at some point, but it’s hard to say anything for sure. Nevertheless, even if Duncan was alive, it’d be still odd. With the way Jacob put it in words, it sounds like he’s surprised by the choice of that particular person, maybe even displeased. Yet, he was working with Duncan for R for some time already. Wouldn’t he be an obvious pick to be involved also into partnership with Rakepick? At least from Jacob’s point of view? Well, I think the requirements for that third person were more specific, and that’s why I believe Duncan is an unlikely candidate. More on that a bit later.

(Btw, don’t you think that MC should at least think of asking Duncan whether Jacob was working with Rakepick and if he knows anything more about it? Sure, in Y5Ch21, MC mentions that they’re Rakepick’s apprentices, and Duncan doesn’t seem to react on this name, but perhaps he simply didn’t know it? Maybe MC should try asking if Jacob mentioned at any point a bitchy redhead Curse-Breaker, or a vixen trying to save his life? No? Too much thinking? All right then.)

I’ve also discussed once a possibility of that person being MC’s father, HOWEVER, the father’s absence issue really irks me lately, and I don’t want to go too deep into that - especially that Snape simply makes more sense if you ask me. So let’s discuss that.

At first, it doesn’t look like a probable situation. I mean, Snape hates Rakepick - why would he agree to work with her on the Cursed Vaults? Patricia could possibly be willing to cooperate, but she’s not very fond of him either. As for Jacob though... Well, truth be told, we can’t actually tell much about his relationship with Snape. In fact, we can’t even be certain that he was taught by Severus or they just went to school at the same time. I suppose that everything Snape tells us about our brother could be as well told by another student. But then, there was that one mention:

It’s from Y3Ch5 when we finally got back Jacob’s notebook. I do think it strongly suggests that Snape was a teacher at that point, someone with the authority over our brother. And since he was avoiding him, he probably didn’t like him much. 

But how did it look on Snape’s side? Sure, now he apparently hates Jacob (I think it’s rather anger and/or disappointment), although, in my opinion, it wasn’t always the case. Do you remember our conversation from Y5Ch4 about Penny?

I believe it’s not a coincidence that Jacob was also mentioned in that sentence. We’re told all the time that he was a talented student, brilliant at basically everything. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he was also good at Potions, and if Snape sees his Vaults obsession as wasting a potential. I’d even say he might���ve liked him before all of that. And let’s be honest, does Snape working with someone he hates in order to PROTECT A CHILD sounds like something unlikely to happen? Moreover, the fact that Jacob went missing/turned into madness might be another reason why Snape despises Rakepick even more - he can blame her, think that she manipulated Jacob. Oh, and when we spy for him in year 4, he’s got this line:

... so, was Jacob among that eliminated competition?

Still, in the end, all of that above is mostly conjecture. That was until we got THAT ONE FREAKING LINE in Y5Ch17 which is driving me crazy:

WHY THE HELL WE’RE NOT TALKING ABOUT THAT?! LIKE...?! *internally screaming*

I mean, it takes place one chapter after Rakepick was swearing she never met our brother, and now Snape basically tells us that she CHOSE him? I’m sorry, but what?! Am I looking too deep into this or he’s simply admitting that Rakepick was working with Jacob? Because if that’s the case, we have three options:

Snape is assuming that because he hates Rakepick and all evil in the world is her fault,

Snape knows she chose Jacob because he was working with them too,

Snape found out about their partnership through spying OR research.

Now, I want to add more to that last option. One thing about Rakepick that I feel is not being stressed enough during the story is the fact that she is quite famous in the wizarding world. There was at least one book written about her (MC gave it to Bill when they met in year 2), but that’s not all. Let’s go back to year 4 again. In the chapter about Bowtruckles, there’s a part where we write an essay and Rowan joins us. We get three options for them:

If we choose “Madam Rakepick”, this is what we learn:

Hm, I wonder what are chances that this assistant’s name was Jacob... The question is, why it seems like the article doesn’t mention any name at all. Either way, it’s very possible that Snape did similar research and found the same information. And here again, he could’ve just assumed that it’s about Jacob, or he dug deeper (more likely) and actually discovered their identity.

Anyway, no matter which option is true, I find it beyond annoying that MC DOESN’T EVEN ASK why Snape said that. Seriously, it’s not the first time when they make MC ignore things that obviously should get their interest: why they didn’t know about Duncan, who is Olivia Green, who Jacob was working with in Knockturn Alley, why there are random Gryffindor robes in Jacob’s room, WHY DON’T WE TAKE CARE OF THE MESS IN THERE FOR ONCE? I understand that they don’t want to reveal too much of the plot too fast, but simply let us ask. Let characters avoid answering or lie to us. Otherwise, MC just looks stupid, and it’s starting to piss me off.

Back to the topic though. I’ve mentioned the specific requirements for the third person at the beginning. And what rare skill Snape and Jacob have in common? They’re Legilimens. I assume that Legilimency might be somehow needed for the buried vault. Maybe they need combined powers or something. It’d also explain why it HAD to be Snape - because there’s not a lot of people to choose from. Although, now that I think about it, it might be rather about Occlumency. Perhaps the vault messes with your mind (which actually goes well with my idea for the final vault)... In both cases, Severus fits the bill and he’s a better solution than bringing another new character with such unique abilities.

theres a reason why bangtan made the skit and sea as hidden tracks, you have to undertsand that bangtan has come a longg way. and one of the reasons why they were finally able to get their first win the last time was through purchase of physical copies, which helped tremendously raise the sales. bangtan may be celebrated and loved wordlwide but back in their home ground, they were nobodies, which is why buying physical copy always meant more even (especially for k-fandoms) since you’re willing to go for an extra mile, its part of kfandom culture for fans to invest a lot of time and money for their group supports and projects to help get their fave name out there, sure you can like/listen to other groups but ultimately, hundreds of idols debut eveyr year so in order to make sure your group lasts a long time, korean fans consider it very important to pledge their loyalty to a single group and support them with all you have, this is why it was even harder for karmys because we come from small company :’)

Hey babes! This is a day late, but better late than never right? I was having a hard time coming up with something for today’s post. Lately, even though I’ve been reading nonstop, I’ve been so enthralled with television. One of my favorite shows, Gotham, dropped a bombshell this week and the show is still on its mid-season hiatus! I’ve also been binging two separate series at once. So, as I was pondering today’s post, brilliance hit! Why don’t I give book recs based on my favorite TV series?? So, that is what we’re doing today. I’ve come up with 10 book/TV series for the “If You Like That, Try This” Book tag. Let’s get started!

1.    If you Like Gotham, try Gotham: Dawn of Darkness – Jason Starr

I know it isn’t very creative, but hear me out! Everyone that I know who watches Gotham, has never heard of this book and that is such a shame! It is a wonderfully written novel, and is different from most tie-in novels. The author Jason Starr must have watched the series a couple of time, because every detail in the book lined up perfectly with the show. So perfectly, that I find it hard to believe that a tiny throwaway line about Oswald’s shoes cannot be a coincidence! This novel serves as a prequel to Gotham, it follows the days leading up to the Wayne murders. And Jerome Valeska even makes an appearance! I gave this book a five-star rating!  

2.    If you like Ripper Street, try Stalking Jack the Ripper – Kerri Maniscalco

To be completely honest, I’m only half way through Stalking Jack the Ripper, but I have no guilt in recommending it to everyone! It’s that good! Fun fact about me, I’m obsessed with the Ripper murders, have been since I was way too young to have even known about them! I think my fascination stems from the fact that he committed the perfect murders; they never caught him! I think Stalking Jack the Ripper does a fantastic job in keeping the mystery of the Ripper at the forefront of the story. Honestly, I’m suspicious of everyone at this point in the novel! I would also recommend the book The Case Files of Jack the Ripper if you are interested in the murders. It’s a nonfiction book containing copies of police reports and autopsy photos. Really gruesome, but super interesting!

3.    If you like Merlin, try Here Lies Arthur - Philip Reeve

If you’re like me, and your favorite show to ever grace the airwaves is Merlin, then I would recommend Here Lies Arthur. This is by no means anything like Merlin. It is, however a retelling of the Arthurian Legend. It is not fun and magical like the show, and Arthur is nothing like the charming Bradley James version. In this novel Arthur is kind of a brute and the leader of a rough and tumble group for men. This story is about a girl named Gwyna, who is taken in by Myrddin the bard, who is the Merlin like character…only without magic. He is a story teller and is determined to create an awe-inspiring legend out of Arthur. Myrddin transforms Gwyna into lady goddess, a boy warrior, and a spy. Gwyna is the beginning and the end of the Legend of Arthur.

4.    If you like Grimm, try Magnus Chase: The Sword of Summer – Rick Riordan

This one is a little out there, but bear with me. I think if you like Grimm, then chances are you would really enjoy the Magnus Chase series. Both have the same underlining elements. In each, a young man is thrust into a new version of the world; one that he doesn’t really understand. With the help of his friends – old and new – the leading man is able to take on his family lineage; a lineage much greater than himself. You see what I did there? 5.    If you like Vikings, try Vikings: Godhead - Cavan Scott

Another no very creative rec, but I feel like not many people know about this comic series. So, if you like Vikings, you should definitely read Vikings: Godhead. This comic takes place a little before and after the events in France, dealing with Ragnar’s thought process before his 10 year absence from Kattigate. There is also a subplot dealing with Ivar, Siggy and Kattigate’s fear of Ivar when he was a child.    

6.    If you like Salem, try Fiendish –  Brenna Yovanoff

Salem was one of the best shows, and my best boy Cotton deserved a better end. That being said, if you also like Salem, you should give Fiendish a go! It’s set in modern day, but it deals with witchcraft and the coming apocalypse, just like Salem. This novel is not as dark as Salem is, but there is still that unnerving undertone. Our story opens with our main character, Clementine, being found in the basement of her home with her eye stitched shut. And that’s all I’m going to say. I think it’s always best to keep quiet about mysteries!

7.    If you like The Exorcist, try Good Omens – Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman

Again, hear me out. The Exorcist is my favorite show on TV right now (my favorite character is Father Marcus btw). The big, overarching plot of The Exorcist is that demons are infiltrating the Vatican and are trying to bring about the apocalypse. In Good Omens, the apocalypse is happening “next Saturday”, a little bit before dinnertime. The two main characters, an angel and a demon, have grown fond of earth and its people. So, they go about trying to stop the apocalypse because they aren’t feeling it. If that isn’t the most Tomarcus (ship name for Father Tomas & Father Marcus) thing you’ve ever heard, you’re lying! Good Omens is a fun, yet still dark novel, that I believe The Exorcist fans would love! #RenewTheExorcist 

8.    If you like Castle, try Magpie Murders – Anthony Horowitz

I think Magpie Murders would suit any Castle fan! The novel revolves around storytelling and one particular manuscript, so I think it is in the same vein as Castle in that regard. Magpie Murders is a wonderful murder mystery! The twists are so beautifully executed, that it keeps you on your toes the entire time! I don’t want to give anything away, so I would say any more about it, other than everyone should read this book!!!

9.    If you like Penny Dreadful, try The Dark Missions of Edgar Brim – Shane Peacock

I’ve mentioned the similarities of Penny Dreadful and Edgar Brim in a bunch of posts, but here we go again. The biggest connection between these two are that they both take the classic Gothic characters (Frankenstein, Dracula, etc.), throw them into the same world and spit out completely new stories. I feel like I’ve talked about this series so much so I won’t go into detail again here but I have a review of the second Edgar Brim novel, Monster. You can read it here.

10.   If you like Riverdale, try Afterlife with Archie - Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa

Afterlife with Archie was a wild ride and I loved it! I think if you like Riverdale, you would probably enjoy this comic. It’s basically Riverdale, but with zombies. Both Riverdale and Afterlife with Archie take the classic, wholesome Archie comics and turn them on their head. The comic is the first in a series, were the zombie apocalypse begins when Sabrina brings Jughead’s dog, Hot Dog, back to life after a hit and run. The zombie plague is soon spread to the humans of Riverdale, and it is up to a few non-infected kids to find a cure and save the town. Fun fact – the author of Afterlife with Archie is one of the writers for Riverdale!
