”It…” Klavier just sighed, deflating further.

He just.. chuckled, weak and laying on the floor. The ceiling was looking terribly interesting, apparently.

“Ja, I suppose so.”

Though not terribly guilty, his actions hurt once more. What is it they say? To think before you speak? Something to try sometime.

He didn’t bring up the phone call or the conversation again.

They laid in silence for a while. It wasn’t comfortable—just, silence. Then, Klavier reached over and held onto Apollo’s bandaged hand. He’s what? The only friend Klavier has left?

What a pity.

”It’s Christmas,” he murmured, quiet.

If he were of a sounder mind, Klavier might’ve woken Apollo up or even declined the call. It’s none of his business, anyway.

But he was not.

Klavier took Apollo’s phone and locked himself in the bedroom, standing in the farthest corner from the door as he accepted the call.

He cleared his throat and collected himself. Time to be Klavier Gavin, rockstar prosecutor. “..Guten Tag? Fräulien Magician, are you there?”

It’s rude not to greet someone properly, no?

“May I ask why you’ve rung so late, perhaps?”

Klavier shifted his weight between his feet (still wearing only socks) and messed with his already messy hair using his free time. His voice was quieter than usual, clearly trying not to wake a certain horned menace.
