what i like about your blog: i don't know if i ever mentioned this, but i fucking love shiny things. stars count as shiny things. i love the shiny. but beyond that, you've done SO WELL setting up your blog to feature your main muse at the moment - being lumine, of course - and that's down to using those light and pastel colours to your advantage. i love how they look! i love how you balanced them together! and tbh that's not even mentioning your amazing collection of icons and varying psds that fit each of them, because? you have collected so many?? you're DEDICATED to the muses you have and i absolutely love that.

what i like about your character(s): again, where do i START. i just love to read your content, and no matter how short or how long, how goofy or how serious it may be, i love it! you capture all of your muses so, so well, and i absolutely love your interpretation of lumine on the dash, i think that you've really made her into your own seeing as her canon personality can be at the whim of the player's actions sometimes. i love how you interpret all of your genshin muses, really! and tbh, we should definitely remember to discuss katsuki interacting with them in his genshin verse, because i think that'd be so much fun while you're not so focused on bnha.

but ON bnha, i love how you tackle all of your muses. from the ones that don't see as much action like mina and jirou and ms. joke to those that do, like toga and ochako, you really give ample consideration to their canon counterparts and work in conjunction with it. and when you don't, you adjust accordingly so that your headcanons are unique while feeling like a part of canon at the same time. you don't NEED to stick to the canon material for them to feel authentic and true to their characters. and honestly, i love seeing it all unfold!

but of course, i can't go without talking about how amazing your ochako is. i mean! you do not shy away from the fact that she is a BADASS. she nearly bested katsuki bakugou, of all people, in the sports festival, and even though their quirks have evolved since then, they would still be on par with each other in terms of quirk strength, speed, and quick thinking... she DESERVES to be recognised as a force of nature even when she aims to specialise in saving and helping people, and you really showcase that - all the while maintaining her personality as a very sweet person who likes to help in any capacity. all this to say your portrayal of her is so perfect for katsuki and i would die for them

what i like about you in general: holds you gently in my hands. you have also been around from basically the beginning of my blog, you've seen my katsuki evolve and change as the manga has progressed, and in turn, i've gotten to see you evolve your characters and take on new ones with just as much investment. i love your persistence, your consideration, and outside of tumblr, in discord? you've always been one of the nicest people to talk to! you have always seemed like a genuine person and honestly i'm so glad that we're friends!!

3-5 IMPORTANT PET PEEVES TO KEEP IN MIND

Tiny ass icons (less than 100x100) with a distorting psd slapped onto it with a fancy border. I CAN'T SEE SHIT. Let alone make out the character's expression. This isn't a dealbreaker though, I just don't understand the appeal of something so microscopic supposing to convey emotions.

Extreme formatting to the point I have difficulty reading it, despite my eyesight is great.

Haven't really happened, but expecting Rozy (or any of my muses) to be immediately down to have sex with yours. She might feel attraction at first sight, especially if the first meeting is a swordfight, but she's a trauma ridden gray asexual. It will take some time.

That being said, treating OC X Canon ships like it's the fucking 8th deadly sin.

2-5 THINGS THAT LEAD ME TO UNFOLLOW / SOFT HARDBLOCK A MUTUAL / SOMEONE I INTERACT WITH

We all know and put in the no racists etc list in our rules but I haven't seen many 'don't interact if you're anti sex work'. So if I see anyone speaking poorly of sex work in general, sex workers of any kind from full time workers to selling feet pics on Onlyfans; saying they deserve whatever treatment because of their line of work, daddy issues/uneducated/unintelligent jokes, use of slurs: get the fuck out of my sight and be very glad I'm not your neighbor. My blogs are all safe spaces for every kind of sex workers.

Portraying pedophilia/rape/sexual abuse in a positive light. It's not the same as having those in your character's backstory, nor if your character has a warped mindset on it due to what they been through. I am able to tell when the mun themselves write it as a kink instead a character's trauma response.

Being soooooo 'anti callout' that they refuse to heed the 20+ page google docs of evidence and still interact with known abusers in the rpc. And I'm not talking about 'they called my friend stupid and have a similar theme as them' petty shit. I'm talking about grooming, pedophilia, slandering, manipulating, doxxing, harassing, stalking. If you let that fly because their writing is good, they make you graphics or for whatever the sorry attempt of an excuse; what the fuck.

Giving me unwarranted, unwanted, condescending criticism about my writing. This doesn't mean I don't accept criticism, far from it. I also ask for feedback from time to time. I don't care how this will sound: I know I'm a good writer. I researched everything, poured history, psychology, years of development, depth, nuances, despite her strengths/talents she is balanced on the power scale (especially with the latest addition of the necessary recovery after pulling her sword fuckery), just very difficult to deal with. You do not get to dismiss that nor try pull me down because you will only end up pissing me off for eternity. Just say 'Our writing styles don't match' and unfollow. No harm done with that. But giving me an incorrect lecture when I didn't even ask for it is one of the very few things that will get you blocked without a word, because I'm still courteous enough to not leave an essay how you had no right & break down why you're wrong in your inbox before the block. Don't make me tone down my writing style and insult me for it because you don't want to/incapable of matching it.

A little update for you guys, since ya’ll deserve it after literal months of radio silence and me only really being on twitter and discord since like, March, really.

Since covid started, almost all my motivation was shot point blank and I could hardly bring myself to write or RP, and I just ended up forcing myself to write, which lowered the quality tremendously and I just,,, stopped looking at tumblr all together because of how overwhelmed I was. I lost my job, my dad’s heart issues were getting worse, and I genuinely don’t remember anything from March until I got my job back (which was in June, iirc, I don’t actually know).

Went back to my job after restrictions lifted, which took a huge toll on my mental health because it’s just,, such a toxic work environment, my dad got open heart surgery done in August, which is the same month I started developing hallucinations for no particular reason. They just,, appeared and have been progressively getting worse since.

In October I got fired because the owner just,, didn’t like me anymore and someone left a THREE star review that singled me out and told a bunch of lies which was enough justification to chop me off, so to speak. I have a new job, thats better and not retail so that’s an automatic upgrade.

Since October I’ve been trying to get an appointment with my old therapist but I’ve had to cancel and switch things around, and she told me the wrong information to find a psychiatrist so I wasted time getting pulled in every which direction until I found myself a family doctor (who i do not like,) but I need a doc to get me a referral so I can be diagnosed with ANYTHING. My depression has been so very, very bad, to the point here I stopped drawing all together for a concerning amount of time (which, if you know me, is not a good thing.)

My mom packed up and left in the middle of the night basically sometime during the summer and I’ve also been reliving a lot of related trauma thanks to that. My dad’s having complications with his heart because he doesn’t listen to the doctors and I’m honestly here, trying to just survive so I can hopefully go to college next year. It’s just been,, really hard for me and idk is thats an excuse or w/e.

I’ve genuinely felt the happiest I’ve been in a very long time because of the twewy announcement and want to get back to writing 777 and the rest of def maerch because they’re so important to me.

However, before I get back to writing I want to rehaul this blog a fair amount before i DO get back to writing. I think the layout will remain the same, but images and pages will be updated and a proper bio for 777 and the crew will be written. I’ll be sitting down and applying his psd to the icons, as well as updating older icons that no longer match my art style-- It’s going to be a lot of work and time before I’m writing again and because of this, I think it’s better that any threads I had are dropped. if you want to continue any, let me know PLEASE.

After I’m finished with 777′s blog, I’m going to also work on a Sho blog because I’ve been wanting to play around with his muse for a while now and what’s a better time to do that than with the neo announcement?

jane  monroe  whitmore,  simply  known  as  jane  monroe,  was  born  in  new  york  city.  she  was  a  twin  —  born  a  few  minutes  before  her  baby  sister,  and  beautiful  twins  at  that.  they  were  inseparable  together,  always  knew  when  something  happened  to  the  other,  deeply  protective  of  each  other  only  a  twins’  bond  could  understand.  as  if  their  souls  were  intertwined,  much  like  the  time  spent  inside  the  womb.  they  spent  their  first  two  years  of  life  in  america,  then  their  family  moved  to  italy.

she  grew  up  in  florence, italy.  while  it  would’ve  been  hard  for  any  other  family  to  adjust  to  two  different  cultures,  jane  assimilated  very  well.  both  twins  were  found  to  be  gifted,  so  they  had  many  talents,  some  things  people  only  dreamed  of.  the  twins  excelled  in  school,  played  sports  as  top  athletes,  and  still  had  time  to  invest  in  the  arts.  they  were  a  jack  of  all  trades,  and  a  bit  of  tricksters.  power  siblings.  they  conquered  their  school,  they  practically  owned  it.  together.  the  most  important  thing  was  that  they  were  always  together.  no  one  could  hurt  them,  as  long  as  they  were  together.

university  was  challenging,  but  not  because  of  the  academics.  it  allowed  the  munroe  twins  to  explore  their  individuality,  away  from  each  other.  they  still  attended  the  same  private  university,  each  on  a  full  ride  of  coarse,  but  this  was  different.  jane  found  a  fascination  with  mythology  and  folklore  of  the  old  ages,  and  of  religion,  especially  wicca.  she  had  her  own  friends,  and  flings,  but  she  didn’t  like  being  separated,  for  so  long,  from  her  twin.  they  were  walking  their  own  paths  but  she  worried,  especially  as  the  older  of  the  twins,  about  her  sister.  they’re  co-dependent  relationship,  she  felt,  was  falling  apart.  jane  always  felt  much  more  powerful,  when  her  sister  was  by  her  side.  after  her  sister’s  accident,  her  family  dropped  everything  and  moved  again  to  a  small  town  called  wayward.  a  place  so  small,  they  had  to  be  together.

jane  has  been  in  wayward  for  two  years  now,  and  she  hates  it.  they  replaced  the  beauty  of  italy  with  this?  but  the  small  town  isn’t  without  it’s  small  town  treasures.  she  returned  to  school,  since  she  never  finished,  and  was  surprised  to  find  they  had  religious  studies  here.  when  she’s  not  studying  she  likes  to  play  a  few  sports,  like  volleyball,  even  if  wayward  doesn’t  have  much  competition.  and  she’s  picked  up  a  job,  just  like  her  sister,  so  her  and  her  sister  can  continue  to  live  on  their  own. the  monroe  twins  are  still  the  power  siblings  of  their  year.  still  turning  heads.  she’s  gotten  more  comfortable  with  to  not  seeing  her  sister  as  much,  but  she  still  values  her  twin’s  company.  they’re  best  friends,  and  jane  always  knows  when  something’s  up  with  her  sister.  she  can  feel  it.  it’s  a  twin  thing.

the  memories  that  come  back  to  jane  are  nightmares.  haunted  dreams  of  burning  at  the  stake,  scorching,  and  the  pain.  the  pain  is  unbearable,  and  it  feels  real.  there’s  also  a  boy  in  her  dreams,  that  looks  a  lot  like  her,  but  she  feels  an  undying  connection  to.  stronger  than  any  connection  she’s  ever  felt,  including  to  her  own  twin  sister.  and  that’s  just  the  beginning.  because  of  this,  jane  usually  curls  up  in  bed  next  to  her  sister,  after  these  nightmares.  they  come  and  go,  but  she  doesn’t  know  what  to  do  with  them.  she’s  honestly  terrified  by  them.  haunted  by  them.

jane  was  born  in  england  around  800 a.d  ,  which  makes  her  over  a  thousand  years  old.  jane  and  her  fraternal  twin  brother,  alec,  had  shown  strong  psychic  abilities  as  children.  the  locals  of  the  village  couldn’t  explain,  but  bad  things  seemed  to  happen  to  people  who  were  unkind  to  the  twins  or  their  family,  and  good  things  happened  to  those  who  were  friendly  to  them.  terrified,  the  superstitious  locals  accused  the  twins  of  being  witches  and  condemned  them  to  burn  at  the  stake.  unbeknownst  to  the  twins,  the  vampire  aro  had  been  aware  of  the  children,  and  when  he  heard  of  the  situation,  aro  killed  the  villagers  and  turned  the  twins  into  vampires.  jane  and  alec  would  go  on  to  be  the  youngest,  and  most  powerful,  members  of  aro’s  volturi.  jane,  having  felt  so  much  anger  while  burning  at  the  stake,  gained  the  supernatural  ability  of  pain  illusion,  inflicting  the  same  burning  pain  she  felt,  on  others.  alec,  wanting  to  escape  the  pain,  gained  the  supernatural  ability  to  numb  the  senses  ( sight,  taste,  hearing,  feeling,  smell ).

How do you start a muse blog? Any tips? I want to start one of my own but have no idea how to even start

sorry  i’m  late  answering  this!  i’m  not  sure  how  much  help  i’ll  be,  but  i’ll  give  it  a  shot!

first  you  have  to  decide,  obviously,  who  your  muse  is  going  to  be.  are  they  an  original  character?  or  are  they  a  canon  character  from  a  movie,  book,  or  tv  series?

if  you’ve  chosen  a  canon  character,  you  should  set  up  your  blog,  make  sure  your  have  some  clear  guidelines  so  people  know  how  to  interact  with  you,  and  what  not  to  do.  you  can  take  a  look  at  other’s  guidelines,  like  mine  if  you  wish,  to  get  an  idea  of  what  you  should  add  in  yours.  once  your  have  your  blog  up  and  your  guidelines  set,  you  should  ask  yourself,  is  there  anything  about  my  character  that  i  write  differently  than  what  the  source  material  says?  if  not,  and  you  stay  pretty  canon  compliant,  that’s  great!  but  if  you  do  have  some  big  changes   (  for  example,  in  my  portrayal  of  rebekah  mikaelson,  i  write  her  as  an  empath  )   it’s  always  a  good  idea  to  have  a  page  where  you  write  out  the  changes  you’ve  made  so  people  can  see.  once  you’ve  done  these  things,  it’s  time  to  start  following  people!  follow  people  in  the  same  fandom,  follow  people  from  other  fandoms  you’re  interested  in  writing  with   (  it’s  also  never  a  bad  idea  to  have  some  crossover  verses  set  up  for  easier  interactions  with  other  fandoms!  )   and  after  you’ve  followed  people  and  they’ve  followed  you  back,  you  should  post  a  starter  call!  or  reblog  some  memes!

if  you’ve  chosen  to  write  an  original  character,  you  should  go  about  setting  up  your  blog  and  guidelines  the  same.  and  then  comes  the  most  important  part  of  having  an  oc:  writing  their  bio!  a  lot  of  people  prefer  that  ocs  have  a  bio  set  up  so  they  know  more  about  your  character  before  they  follow.  it  doesn’t  have  to  be  ten  pages  long  like  mine  is,  lmao,  but  it’s  good  to  have  a  decent  outline  of  who  your  character  is,  what  their  life  is  like,  what  their  personality  is.  i  also  find  it  helpful  to  have  a  stats  page!   (  here  is  the  link  to  mine  so  you  have  a  general  idea  of  what  to  put  in  a  stats  page!  )   now,  this  isn’t  absolutely  necessary,  but  i  think  it’s  good  to  have  one,  especially  if  you  don’t  have  a  complete  bio  right  away!  now,  after  you  have  all  that  set  up,  you  should  go  about  following  people.  if  your  oc  isn’t  associated  with  any  specific  fandom,  you  should  still  follow  people  from  all  the  fandoms  you’re  interested  in   (  this  is  where  verses  come  in  handy  again!  )   and  you  should  also  look  for  other  fandomless  ocs,  and  other  ocs  in  general!  then  it’s  time  to  go  about  posting  starter  calls,  reblogging  memes,  and  liking  other  people’s  starter  calls!  

make  sure  to  read  everyone’s  guidelines  when  you  follow  them  so  you  know  if  it’s  okay  to  like  their  starter  calls  or  send  them  memes.  for  example,  i  do  not  write  starters  for  non  mutuals,  but  anyone  and  everyone  is  welcome  to  send  me  a  meme!

it’s  also  a  good  idea  to  have  your  tags  in  order  before  you  get  started!  i’m  a  chronic  over  -  tagger  because  i  never  want  to  lose  anything,  but  basically,  so  long  as  you  tag  your  partners  in  replies  and  starters,  you  don’t  need  excessive  or  fancy  tags  like  mine.  also,  if  you’re  over  18  and  write  nsfw  situations,  make  sure  you  tag  it  with  nsfw  or  something  easy  for  people  to  blacklist.  you  should  make  sure  to  always  tag  all  the  triggers  you  can  think  of,  such  as  snakes,  blood,  clowns,  spiders,  etc  with  a  simple  tag  like  “___  tw”  or  “___  cw”  so  not  to  trigger  anyone!

it  never  hurts  to  have  a  promo  graphic!  (  here  is  a  link  to  my  self  promo  tag  so  you  can  scroll  through  and  see  some  of  the  different  promos  i’ve  done!  )   if  you  have  a  promo  graphic,  other  roleplayers  can  reblog  it  and  so  people  know  about  you.

always,  always,  always  credit!  if  you  used  a  graphic  template  to  make  your  self  promo,  credit  the  template  creator  in  the  post!  if  you  use  icons  with  a  psd,  credit  who  made  the  psd  in  your  sidebar,  guidelines,  or  both!  if  you  use  an  icon  border,  credit  who  made  it!  you  can  find  a  lot  of  these  resources  free  on  here  or  on  deviantart,  or,  if  you’re  not  broke,  you  can  commission  these  types  of  things  from  content  creators.  but  you  always  need  to  credit  them!  they  all  work  hard  to  provide  the  roleplay  community  with  things,  and  they  deserve  the  credit!  and  always  follow  the  rules  of  the  content  creators  when  you  use  their  stuff!

Updates to be applied to my rules in due time, but here’s a bulk of important ones to take into consideration for those interested:

I follow first or back based on first impressions. I do not place a heavy focus on formatting, icon styles, psds or background images being used. My concern is with the content being produced, if it is neat (cut down to size per thread for example) and if some form of tagging is in place.

I typically let new follows settle on my dashboard for a little while to get a better sense of posting styles and habits. If i receive a follow back and we become mutual, that gives me a boost to my incentive to interact.

By the time starer/plotting calls and/or memes are being sent my way, I will take the time before responding to read through all available information on your pages. I do not want to overwhelm myself with a plethora of muse facts before a possible thread can even begin.

I work a full time 9-5 job in the GMT timezone. My energy levels in the evenings are quite low during the week. As such, I typically spend my spare time during the week concentrating on organising my icon materials for future use, and some light browsing of the dashboard as well as keeping one eye open for discord chats. Full length replies for my threads can be expected on the weekend.

If I miss your reply/starer, I have most likely: a) lost it b) forgotten to mark it down as a WIP for my drafts c) begun to struggle with an adequate response

If a thread of any description goes idle for longer than a month, I will consider it dropped and be removing it from my thread tracker. In the past I have noticed a trend when activity going beyond this time typically indicates another person’s disinterest or lost muse. It has become very tiring to lean on the hope that maybe some day soon I’ll get a response. None of my writing partners deserve to feel that same sense of desperate disappointment either. I hold myself accountable for threads dying with little effort taken to revive it.
