Even after everything Jamil said and did to him before and during his Overblot, Kalim still trusts Jamil with his very life, no strings attached, no suspicions. Still trusts that even if the other boy chooses to put him under his Signature Spell again, he would never go so far as to harm him like that time. Yes, Kalim is still hurt and even a little angry over the events that transpired ( not for what Jamil did to him, he fully believes he deserves it all, rather, for having endangered the Prefect, Grim and even Octavinelle, as well as mind-controlled the others in Scarabia into the mess ), but he still fully believes he can trust Jamil with himself. Even now being all-too aware of the boy's long-withstanding resentment of him, he's perfectly willing to let things be and trust him as always, so long as the other boy doesn't endanger anyone else.

#hc; kalim #//There are times he does doubt Jami; in the way he behaves around him & Kali has his suspicions he's downplaying something #//But he lets things play out as is anyways. If Jami is going to choose to hurt him again; so be it #//He does try so hard to ensure that Jami doesn't feel the need to; that he's happier than he was before by at least trying to be better #//But Kali's never quite sure if his efforts are ENOUGH; or if they are even the RIGHT ones #//He was never all that good at Getting social cues sometimes; he evidently completely MISSED all of Jami's misery all their lives after al #//So he can't trust himself to discern if Jami's genuinely feeling happier than before; even if Jami himself were to outright say it #//Bc he can never trust Jami to say he's content ever again; not so easily anyways #//Now; he will always doubt if he IS such or just saying so; even if Jami does seem to be speaking his mind more #//Bc part of him will always be whispering What if?#//But even with that; he still chooses to keep him around & keep trying his best to make him happy anyways #//It's almost vainly optimistic; but he doesn't care.
