We all love Lenore heck. Where do I begin.
Let me start with personality, because no matter how good your writing is ( and it’s good ), the person also matters. Idk where the heck this sweet ray of sunshine came from but dang am I glad she’s around. Lenore and I are, IMO, just starting to talk / vibe but I can tell that she’s as nice as they come. There’s something to be said about someone that practically radiates positivity. When I was just starting on tumbles, someone directed a compliment to me - “a force for good.” I consider it one of the highest forms of praise to this day, and I feel that way about Lenore. I think she’s just straight up a force for good. Things are better - the community is better - for having her around. Having someone that is so genuine, but also just very true to herself and honest with what she wants & likes - it’s refreshing. Candor is underrated, but Lenore is delightfully candid while still being kind. I appreciate her for that. Also, just in general - as the late 20s oldies that she and I both are, seeing her on the hustle for her passions is whew, inspiring. Motivating. She’s one of those people where you see her try her best, and you get inspired for yourself. I don’t think we know each other well enough for me to say more but honestly, she’s been an absolute blessing. For me personally, being a Sona blog, having another Sona blog to just kinda vibe with on the dash is... it’s extremely nice. I mentioned that we’re late 20s oldies ( not that old! ) but I’ve known many a people - and know many people currently - that are my age and really not that mature. Lenore is. She’s mature, kind, and passionate. I think if you don’t want that kind of positive energy and a positive presence like that at least adjacent to you, you’re a fool.
Now for the content talk. Lenore is both a wickedly sharp writer and an extremely emotive artist. Let me explain a bit of what I mean. ( also if you don’t know that she does both you should know & check out her work because dang ). Not to go off too much, but Lenore has an eye for the details - for the little small quirks that make a character tick, for the minutiae that sometimes gets lost in the hustle and bustle, and yet her writing doesn’t get bogged down by that. Not that there’s anything wrong with very flowery language, but Lenore manages to blend in these details and introspections and small little moments without getting lost in them. It’s stellar. Also singlehandedly made me not hate KaynSona. ( well with her writing partner’s help but you get it... ) That’s an achievement because I absolutely used to detest odyssey Kayn & Sona’s interactions, and yet it’s been turned into something that I enjoy reading from her. No small feat. When I say she’s sharp, I mean that details come through with clarity - there’s an expression of understanding mental states and cutting to the heart of the matter that I envy ( as someone who tends to sometimes write ‘in circles’ ).
Now the art. I described her art as emotive, and for me, that’s a compliment. Because I think art is an expression of yourself but also because some art kind of... speaks to you. It’s something I personally strive for in my own works - it’s not enough to just draw well, I have to convey a feeling. Make people feel. There’s this word I learned in JP class when I was getting my certificates - “kandou” ( 感動 ) - that’s stuck with me for years. My teacher described it as a verb that means “to move the heart”. That’s what I personally strive for when I create my works, and that’s what I feel from Lenore’s work. It moves the heart. That’s what I mean by it being emotive. It’s not just an expression of emotion, but rather it leaves an impression, and it has a certain subtlety to it that pulls you in. I like it a lot, is what I’m saying.
So, in summary - amazing, mature, and kind person who stands up for herself, is a force for good, and has a rather excellent grasp of language, and creates art that leaves a lasting impression. Also clearly amazing taste in muse. :^) I definitely don’t want this to come off as idolatry because pedestals are gross and uncomfy but well - she’s pretty great from what I can see. I look forward to getting to know her better and seeing more of her content.

V Watches MagiReco - Episode 8 Review
*Spoilers for Magia Record Anime Episode 8*
Okay, I was not expecting to enjoy this week’s episode as much as I did! :O From the anime’s pattern so far, I was fully expecting a slower episode with less action as they introduced the next main character (in this case Sana), but this episode had a lot of deviations from the game that did a lot of good, in my opinion!
Lots of positive things to say again for this review ^0^ And no, it’s not just because of that Kanagi “cameo” (even though there WILL be at least one paragraph of me screaming about that LOL you have been warned) xD
I think the slower pace of this episode gave us a really good chance to see how the main characters have adjusted and truly integrated themselves into their new lives. We see Iroha starting at her new school, Felicia starting her part-time job at Banbanzai, Tsuruno visiting to deliver bento boxes for Iroha and the two going to school together... so many small details that seem unimportant to the plot but really give us a good picture of the characters’ new lives and relationships. And that’s really important stuff. They seem to have taken a longer time and really drew out the introduction of this new Rumour rather than immediately rushing into the next one, and this gives the main cast some room to breathe and just be themselves, and also gives the audience a sense of some time having passed as well.
It was also really nice to see Rena back! Seems strange to me that Momoko wasn’t with her, but I was starting to worry that Momoko’s team would be forgotten and pushed to the background, so I was quite pleased to see them still popping up every now and then. The episode also gave us some quality Iroha and Rena bonding, which is kind of bittersweet when you consider that both of them either don’t have friends or always find themselves somehow isolated from the crowd. Rena is still a prickly little tsundere, but seeing her waiting for Iroha and giving her more information and talking with her really put a smile on my face :) I really want Rena and Iroha to be able to make more friends, and it’s super cute when the new friends are none other than each other ^^
Also, the thing about Kaede is really interesting. I’m sure this is an anime-original plot point, but I’m wondering how this is going to tie in with Sana’s arc, or any other part of the Main Story. Rena confirms that Kaede hasn’t actually disappeared; she still comes to school, but rushes home immediately after and doesn’t talk or reply to anyone. We also see her at home with all her plants at the beginning (cute!). I’m guessing she’s still traumatised from that Doppel experience and hasn’t figured out what’s going on, so is too afraid of getting close to her friends in fear of hurting them? Whatever they’re planning, I hope it has some relevance to that post-credits scene in episode 5 so we get some closure to what actually happened and the scene won’t seem so “cool but random” lmao.
Alright imma get this out of the way. (Feel free to skip this paragraph if you’re not interested in hearing me gush about my queen.) K A N A G I I Z U M I. If anyone reading this has been following my past MagiReco posts or knows anything about me at all, you’ll know that I’m absolute trash for Kanagi Izumi xD My best girl may be Iroha, but Kanagi is a character I really admire, respect, and adore. Anyway, I saw the official MagiReco Twitter account post about a Kanagi rate-up banner and was hella confused but excited because my queen was not supposed to appear until... at least until Tsuruno is captured by the Magius and Felicia and Sana have returned. So I guess it makes sense that it was in the form of a “mysterious person on the phone” rather than an actual debut, but gosh as soon as I heard her voice I almost lost it AHHHHHHHHHH (♥>o<♥) This eases any fears I had of her being cut from the anime (I would have hunted down the studio if they made that decision LOL); not only is she not gonna be cut, but they gave her a surprise, mysterious, early introduction, too?!?!? YASSSSS (ᗒᗨᗕ)
Yachiyo’s phonecall with Kanagi is a surprising change to make because Kanagi’s presence is really “not very relevant” at this point, but I guess they really wanted to show how big the Wings of Magius' influence is. As Kanagi says, they’ve taken most of the girls from the East by now. I’m wondering what anime-onlys would feel about this scene, since they probably have no idea who Yachiyo is talking to. If anything, it would probably add to the mystery surrounding Yachiyo (which I hope the anime goes into soon). I was a little conflicted at first because I really wanted Yachiyo’s first contact with Kanagi to seem like a “we haven’t spoken in ages but desperate times call for desperate measures” kind of thing, because with this scene, the next time they "openly” contact her won’t have that same impact. But then the more I think about it, the more I think this might actually be for the better. Kanagi’s introduction into the cast won’t feel like such a “random” thing (like, “oh wait, who are you and since when were you so important?”); Yachiyo has been in some degree of contact with her and she was “there" all along. So yeah, a good change in retrospect, and I’m never gonna say no to seeing (or hearing) more of Kanagi so I’m all for this change either way LOL
Okay enough rambling about Kanagi (OTL I’m so sorry). Felicia working at Banbanzai is just SO CUTE!!! She’s like a cute little gangster omg those glares and “HUHHH?!?!?” (I’d be scared too, Iroha) xD I think the character that’s gotten the best portrayal in the anime so far really is Felicia. And also the reveal that the reason for her getting into a fight and being sent to the police station was because she was defending Yachiyo and Iroha? CUTEEE OMG I LOVE THIS CHILD!!! She also has a really good sense of fashion hehe :D
The little snippet in there with Ui, Touka, and Nemu may seem a little out of place, but I was actually quite relieved to see them. Every week the anime is throwing new characters at its viewers, so I was worried that anime-only viewers wouldn’t even remember who Touka and Nemu are when they’re eventually revealed to be the Magius. I think it’s good to keep drilling them into viewers’ minds so as not to lose that “OMGGG” factor when they make their proper debut. Also it’s adorable how Ui throws teddy bears in their faces to stop them from arguing LOLLL
The radio show was a really good way to not only sneak in tiny “cameos” of other girls (I think it was Rika and Kanoko this week), but also give a nice picture of life in Kamihama. There’s a sense that Iroha really is a part of this city now, and it’s such a nice feeling to see everything “falling into place;” we’re no longer in those inconsistent and uncertain “introductory” episodes anymore, even though we still have one more major character to bring in. And the laughter coming from the phone is super creepy--cute, but in a really creepy way. All the illustrations for when they were talking about the Rumours this week were also really, really well-done. I have nothing much to say about them except “sasuga Inucurry” haha xD
I really was expecting Madoka and Homura to appear this week, but I guess we may have to wait a little bit more for that >_< BUT Tsukuyo did appear again in her “civilian” form! Iroha chasing her into that building was also a really nice change the anime made; some things really need to be animated for full impact, and I’m loving these minor changes and how much more they add to the characters and atmosphere! Anyway, Tsukuyo seems a lot more menacing here compared to her dine-and-dash incident in the game lmaooo, and I wasn’t expecting a Witch battle!
Speaking of Witch battle, I think this might be one of my main letdowns with this episode: I just really want to see Iroha fight more. I appreciate that she’s proactive in seeking answers and brave enough to jump into these situations despite knowing that she’s weak, but she hasn’t really contributed much in battles so far except a few Connects and using her Doppel. I want to see my girl Iroha go all-out and kick ass with her arrows!!! But it was nice to see the rest of Team Mikazuki showing up so quickly; there’s a real sense of them being an actual team now, and they’ve always got each other’s backs! It would have been nice if the rest of the team got to fight as well rather than Yachiyo taking all the spotlight, but at least Yachiyo was super cool haha (as usual). But the battle clearly isn’t the point of this episode, so I won’t pick on it too much :)
By the way, that Mami appearance was super random. When I saw the ribbons and flowers, I almost thought she was going to appear as Holy Mami for a second. At least we know she hasn’t lost her head just yet ;) The appearance was random, but from what they offered, at least we know that Mami is still either in Kamihama or coming to Kamihama regularly to investigate, and while she was suspicious of Iroha in the past, she went out of her way to help her this time, which was a nice touch.
Anyway, now that Iroha has finally replied to the mysterious messages, we might really get to meet Sana (and Ai-chan) next time! Maybe Madoka and Homura, too! But yeah, this episode is a prime example of one where not much seems to happen, but a lot actually does happen and there’s plenty to pull apart and discuss when you really think back on it. Clearly Kanagi took half my attention and feels this week, but I’m definitely having lots of warm and fuzzies seeing Team Mikazuki doing normal, everyday things together. Seeing Felicia added to the OP was expected but still a treat (the way she bobs around on the spot is SO CUTE!), and I can’t wait for the family to finally be fully formed!
(Also, Yachiyo looks gorgeous in anything she wears, seriously.)

Rules: List your five favorite anime characters and tag some people.
Tagged by @pendulum-sonata (thank you dear!.... sorry for this being hella late OTL BIG GOMEN)
So I had like half this post typed up last night weeks ago but my dumbass accidentally deleted it so here goes take 2...
Also I just wanna take this opportunity to gush about my absolute favorite characters so I’m gonna cheat a lil bit by using some video game characters if y’all don’t mind...
Now, without further ado...
1.
Chrom - Fire Emblem Awakening
So, I love Chrom a lot, I figure y’all know that by now right? Chrom is admittedly, como se dice, not the most complex of characters. He is a simple man, really. Prince of Ylisse who doesn’t know much about life outside of leading his rag-tag Shepherds into skirmishes to protect his kingdom, family, and friends, or breaking a few things here and there (because he’s a total klutz). He doesn’t really know how to dress himself properly, as you can see (no, Idfk what he’s wearing either), and he’s terrible at diplomacy (he said so himself). Yet, despite his hopelessly dorky but somehow handsome appearance, he’s also incredibly stubborn and hard-headed, ignorant sometimes but not naiive, extremely loyal, and sometimes even awkward, but he’s always, always seeking to learn from his mistakes and the world around him. He may struggle against his own impulses, but he’s aware of this fault of his and, despite it, fights fiercely for his comrades and works to be someone reliable for them. He’s the man you want by your side because he won’t allow you to drag yourself through the mud, and if you are dragged, then he’ll drag himself right along with you just to make sure you’ll have someone to lean on when you’re struggling to stand right back up again.
Chrom is so unapologetically himself in any situation, be it formal or informal, and it’s inspiring to me in ways that words fail to describe because just watching him go about his life simply being himself and urging you to do the same reminds you: maybe you don’t have to be perfect, and that’s just perfectly fine. He is a reminder of what unconditional love is supposed to look like and it’s a simple thing but it’s always appreciated.
“Remember that you are yourself before you are any man’s son/daughter,” he says to you. I know that he doesn’t think of himself as being very charismatic but everything he does and says would claim otherwise.
1.
Yuya Sakaki - Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V
He’s also my number 1 and that’s not a mistake.~
I’ve been a fan of YGO since the anime series debuted in the States (DM). Since 2001, I’ve followed each subsequent entry in the anime franchise and, although I’ve loved this franchise overall, I’ve never really been attached to any of the characters from any YGO show enough to go “Omg I love them.”
That was up until Yuya.
Yuya’s personality resonates with me a lot in various ways. For example, I’m not quite sure how obvious this is to people but I LOVE to make others laugh and smile. It’s one of the best feelings in the world. Life of course unfortunately isn’t just that, and, for better or worse, Yuya knows life’s wide range of emotions all too well. The trajectory his development took from day one all the way through episode 148 was one that touched, broke, and mended my heart on a level that I haven’t felt before or since (and one that, to be quite honest, I’m afraid to experience ever again).
I call him my son because he is truly precious to me. His story changed me and my views on life, all for the better. Lastly, his persona is not only one that I love, but also one that I admire; Yuya Sakaki’s kindness and philosophy is goals. I love him eternally.
Bonus: He is just a damn well written character and has one of the best developments I’ve personally witnessed. He’s raised the standard of what I expect a great shounen protagonist to be.
3.
Lelouch - Code Geass
Look at this asshole.
You don’t know how refreshing it is to view a story from the eyes of a character who is, without a doubt, very morally grey. Like, sure, I’m sure there have been more stories since (and even before) that try this approach but I haven’t ever really found any other characters like him to be quite as compelling. Half the time you really are on his side, and the other half you wish he would just drop dead (not because you hate him, but because you know that’s just the right thing he should do). I know to a lot of people that haven’t seen this show he seems like a basic edge boy, but I assure you he’s quite an idiot. A smart idiot, but still an idiot. With a terrible sense of humor. He very much deals with the consequences of his actions throughout the story and sometimes it’s satisfying (because, yes, he’s a jerk), and other times not so much (because he ultimately does have a heart of gold). He’s just a little tsundere and stubborn and he has very exploitable weaknesses (read: very) so it really does help that he has a flair for the dramatic. Anyway, Lelouch, his wide range of emotions, and his story are extremely entertaining to watch and I love his stupid sassy face.
4.
Neku Sakuraba - The World Ends With You
I love this kid.
So Neku is another character that looks edgy as hell, admittedly, but I assure you he’s soft. Or at least not entirely at first. Yes, he’s also a jerk, but he has his reasons (teen angst, what can I say) but watching the process of him opening up slowly in real time is just *chefs kiss* amazing and heartwarming and gives you hope for the youth of the world. I’ll admit, I first played this game when I was like 14 or so and going through some of my own teen angst, so I found the jerk side of him to be somewhat relatable back then, but the moral of his story didn’t fly by my head even then. It made me happy and it was something nice to learn at that age. Years later, I’m back here playing this game again and I think the lessons Neku learns throughout his little journey in Shibuya really hit you right in the feels, perhaps even more, idk. He’s really inspiring and, like I said, heartwarming and ultimately brings a smile to my face every time. God. Bless this kid. Please.
He needs it.
5.
Rosalina - Mario Series
Did y’all know I fucking LOVE Rosalina.
She’s not a terribly revolutionary character, but her backstory was so touching to me and I love her character design (f me up she’s fucking gorgeous). My reasons for loving her a pretty simple like that, though on top of it all I relate to her; What with her tendency to adopt cute lil Lumas and giving up everything for them (but also using them to hurt others), Rosalina gets me. She’s also just so cool and calm but she has a fun side to her too. Simple as my reasons are, she’s up there with my favorite characters ever. God I still remember booting up SMG and meeting her for the first time yeah I fucking loved her immediately. Damn. Can’t get me enough Rosalina~
I love her relationships with her precious Luma children so much, I named my car Luma lol
okay, done! Again, thank you for tagging me Rose! Sorry I took forever~ thanks for letting me gush about my faves for a bit, it was very relaxing~
I’m tagging: @dancerladyaqua @pxiao @yutoknight @entermates @skittymon @theabcsofjustice @blueeyeswhitegarden @heliosknight @orasforlife @lilias-amell@moshimichi @timahina @seasaltmemories and @cypsiman2 and anyone else who wants to participate~ you don’t have to if you don’t want to!
#pendulum-sonata#tagged#tag thing#about me#BAES#oh yeah i stuck to 1 for franchise just cuz i thought that woulda been fair since i was already kinda stretching the rules#again thank you!

Can I ask why you associate Sora most strongly with January? Most I've seen tend to think of Sora as a summer person, so I'm super curious
Out of Crowns; Ah thank you for asking this question!! Ahhh!! Okay okay, well you see, I based Crown off of my mother actually! She’s a proud Capricorn, a hard worker and tends to come off rather harsh and rough in her goals and determination. ( I don’t mean my mother is mean or anything, but ya know explanation purposes )
I see my Crown as still a Summer(ish) person, but that’s just because he comes from an Island, so of course he would love the summer heat, though his heart and mannerisms are that of a Winter soul. I had to craft his persona from scratch in a way, because I wanted him to be the type of guy you see reading a book on his off days, training when no one is looking, and willing to be harsh to get what he needs. It’s also because his Island is in align with the Winter Moon, or the month with the second Winter. He is a workaholic, enough to run himself down the drain in away. I imagined him to be an overachiever, ambitious, determined, and practical. In other words, a stubborn ‘ol goat.
I’m highly into mythical / birth dates/ signs and the such, and I like to put some of those things into my characters as much as I can. Personally, I’d like to add more things to him, and his personality as I go along. Kinda like I notice most muses vibe with the feline, ( lion ) animal spirit, while Crown’s over here like “ Um I’m a wolf yo, gimmie a pack and mate and I’m good yo. . “ Idk I guess it might sounds silly OTL There’s so much I want to gush about!!
tl:dr, I see my Sora vibin’ more with the Winter Sign and Moon. A goat at heart in a sense. Or a wolf. He’s beautiful as a Summer baby, but my baby boy was more winter like to me. I hope it makes sense! I’ll elaborate in a post or headcanon actually!
#☆┊♛ ❛ Mun. ❜ it was tara’s turn to speak.#thank you soo soo soo much for asking#I am weeping#omg no one has ever asked me that#wahhhhhh!!!#stcrmage

BNHA Episode 31
This is literally just gushing.
Listen, this last episode of BNHA was a blessing. Now that I’ve read the manga a couple times and I can pick out the difference in blocking, lines, etc between the anime and then manga, I'm consistently impressed by how the studio adds little cues and interactions that the manga had to skim over?
I really really liked how they animated All Might and his terrible ringtone of his own voice! And how both Mic and Aizawa found it totally obnoxious?? The way his eyes dart around frantically when Gran Torino chews him out and he kind of slinks out was great. Super endearing and we didn’t get to see as much of that in the manga.
Also the fact that Bakugo had to wear jeans at the Genius Agency? I didn't notice it in the manga but I laughed. Honestly this is the kind of Bakugo spotlight I could ask for again and again. Also the fact that Uwabami actually took Yaomomo and the Class 2B girl on patrol was a nice touch, instead of just playing the advertisement as the whole of the internship/hero commercialization joke.
It's hard not to read All Might as some falling American superpower parallel with the phrasing of the anime. I try not to think about it too hard because BNHA is supposed to be upbeat and thinking about America in this quirk world makes me instantly think of all the fucked up shit that must be happening over there. OTL
I saved the best for last. The Todoroki, Iida, and Midoriya hospital scenes were so so good? We haven't had like any downtime with the kids, aside from the sports festival, and so getting to see them finally talk open and honestly, like be still my heart. I really like how Todoroki kind of slots so easily into Midoriya and Iida's dynamic. Every time he called out to Midoriya or Midoriya called out to him was just great. You get the feeling that they’re thinking about each other quite a bit? Honestly the most prevalent scanlation for this chapter doesn't do the tone of their conversation justice (and I'm like 90% sure it's a fan scanlation problem because of the usage of the word "dude") so I was super pleased to see a more official translation.
Also the police dialogue and the animation of the expressions was ON POINT. Todoroki’s rage feels so justified especially with that name drop of Endeavor, but at the same time, you can tell its childish roots, the “What did you want from us, we, the children stepped up and it’s not fair that you punish us” sort of thing. His perturbed expression at the end where Midoriya is relieved for them but he’s also like, I can’t believe you just chastised us and then said it was fine, was SUPER RELATABLE. ;u; Also poor Manual, his little permanent tears made me crack up.
The entire dialogue of the Hand Crusher was so good? Todoroki's usage of the English "Hand Crusher" like it was some hero name almost made me snort out my water. And the boys were laughing!?? This is probably the first conversation Todoroki's had that isn't SUPER SERIOUS and I love it when characters inside the show are laughing with each other, as opposed to 'performing comedy' for the audience, if that makes sense? Also I think this is one of the first times Iida laughs as well, especially considering I think Uraraka is usually the character that gets to laugh at her friends being comedic? ANYWAY I WAS REALLY PUMPED TO HEAR IT.
Uraraka’s phone call was hella cute. I think the voice actor did a fabulous job sounding less over the top anime and more natural. I also await the next episode where I can see her LAYING DOWN THE LAW in her internship haha. I always want to see more rescue missions and Tsuyu, Jirou, URARAKA FIGHTING! Also I hope there's at least like four minutes of Bakugo getting restrained by the denim of his pants HAHA.
