                "No." He said curtly, not intending to be rude with how quick he responded to her question about whether she should ask what he did. It wasn't fun. A particular enemy he doesn't quite have the patience for, and an adventure on his own? It didn't quite pair well, not in his mind. This is why he always found himself simply hopping two weeks ahead in five minutes as opposed to having to wait the full two weeks for her to be done. He hummed softly, pressing his face further against her neck and kissing it softly, "Just..."

                "No more adventures, today." He muttered quietly, letting her press her lips against his temple softly before burying his head back against the crook of her neck softly, pressing a kiss against the flesh of her neck and humming ever so quietly against her skin. He simply echoed out a, "This is fine." To signify that he just wanted to lounge around in bed all day.

                At her final kiss against his eye, he met her gaze. He pressed a kiss against her jawline softly, before resting his head against her and hiding his face again, pressing closer to her frame.

─「夜兰」─  the spy smiled to herself when he kicked his shoes off without much of a word or a protest. a light laugh resounded from the back of her throat and her gaze watched him, in a way that she never does with anyone else. slender digits weaved themselves through his locks in soft, soothing motion, massaging his scalp and observing him. despite not seeing his expression, it wasn't difficult to infer the exhaustion that came from his body language alone.

                that, and she felt he was adorable like this. it wasn't something common, so why not indulge herself with it a bit more ?

                " should i ask ? " she meant what he went through during his own solo adventure, that is. but the way she murmured the words as she placed a kiss to his temple didn't sound like she wanted an answer, however. she shifted slightly, allowing him to get himself more comfortable upon the soft mattress. softer hand then brushed a few dark strands from his face, allowing her to have a small glimpse, even if it was only a split second.

                another kiss was placed over his left eye. a calming notion ? or a yearn ? both, maybe.

name: taylor “tay” jeung child of: thanatos power: death sense and inducement

tay discovered her powers in the orphanage where she spent the first five years of her life. to this day, she’s not sure how one of the workers, one of the particularly cruel ones, knew who and what she was when tay didn’t. this is something she remains curious about, but has not put much research into. as her mun, i of course know that her mother shared the information on her deathbed with her midwife, the same woman, expecting tay to be loved and taken care of with this information, not mentally and emotionally abused.

she can sense any impending death, and the type of death it will be depends on when she can sense it. the more sudden the death will be, the more powerful her sense is. she can pass a random stranger on the street and immediately feel that they will die in a car accident on the way home. this part of her power does not require physical touch, which can make it a bit confusing in crowds. she’ll get a sense of someone’s death but have no idea which person in the crowd it is.

she does not see visions of these deaths naturally; instead it’s like the knowledge simply appears in her brain. physical touch to the person and willing herself to see what will happen herself can allow her to see visions, but this is exhausting to her and she will usually have to spend the rest of the day napping.

another limitation is that she can feel the emotional burden that she is taking away from people when she induces their death. 

to induce, tay needs physical touch, just like she does to see visions of the death she is essentially preventing by allowing the person to choose when they will die. it can be any sort, and it could be accidental if she’s not careful, but tay is always careful and the touch must also be prolonged, so she can’t just accidentally bump into someone and kill them.

it takes a great deal of effort to will death into a person. it’s essentially a trade of energy. she pushes death onto the person. to the person, it feels warm and gentle. there is no suffering when someone dies by tay’s hand. 

the trade is that tay is absorbing the days, months, or year (which is the maximum amount of time she can sense a death from) that she is taking away by choosing their death day. this is exhausting for her. she does not feel the physical pain of the person, but it is a great toll on her emotionally and mentally. the day after inducing a death, tay can be found in bed, napping, or sometimes even crying. she keeps a journal to write through her feelings, and while she’s inconsistent about it, she does attend therapy to talk through her feelings.

tay thinks she has a good handle on her abilities for what she uses them for. there is a part of her that knows it could be used for evil. she could find out someone’s enemy will pass away in a year from a car accident and end their life for someone else’s gain before that time. she has no interest in anything like this.

tay also wonders if a year is her true limit on sensing a death, or if she can push herself into knowing exactly when everyone will die. she doesn’t really want to try though, feeling like that is too much of a burden.

her relationship with this power is so complicated. she does feel, some days, that what she’s doing is benevolent, but on the other hand, she knows firsthand that she took exactly seven months, one week, and two days away from her brother’s life to end his suffering. though she knows that’s what he wanted, tay still feels like she robbed him of so much life, robbed her parents of more time with their son, their only child by blood.

my opinion on;

character in general: Helen is a lovely character in this cruel, hard place where everyone has lost at least three mothers and two fathers and served as slaves for 26 years even though they are only 15. I love seeing muses that are soft and naive and helpful and warm and open and down to earth without coming off as ignorant and childishly naive, in a world of entertainment where being secretive and cold is considered an admirable feature. Helen is pleasant and comfortable to interact with, and it is easy to tell she is a flexible character that fits the mold for almost any kind of storytelling. Ever heard of muses that other muns think are only there to be sidekicks and NPC’s? That is Helen, except there is so much more going under the surface, and self-focused fools are missing out.Helen, like all humans and characters, has her personal emotional package. Jay never lets us forget that it is there, yet she does not rub it on anyone’s face. Whatever trauma or misdeed has happened in the past should not be presented as another event on a dull corporate timeline. Stories must be shown, not told, and I feel like this is what is going on with Helen. She is in many stories, and little pieces of her secrets can be found in each. A curious reader can easily patch the entire truth together, but someone less interested is not forced to. That is a sign of good storytelling. Therefore I announce Helen a good character, and a breath of fresh air.

how they play them: Here we go again with the OC problem. It is difficult to tell which parts of portrayal are intended by the author and which are just clumsy hiccups that sould be smoothened out for the sake of a larger story. I know Helen is based on some sort webcomic drawn by Jay, but I have no idea how that is going or where to find it. I’m stuck trusting the author blindly with the decisions she makes with no context to properly analyse a chararacter. That being said, Jay’s love for her character shines through. That is not to say that she spoils her adores her or coddles her up as a self insert. I see a lot of love for Helen, but none comes from her original creator, at least not in the form of pampering. Jay is not afraid of using Helen for storytelling purposes, exploring her limits and letting her grow as she sees fit. Sometimes when a lot of thought goes in to a character, authors become afraid of letting them change and adapt. I feel like that is not the case with Jay and Helen. Jay is often complaining about Helen being a passive character that doesn’t take the story forward due to her own benevolence. That is not true. There is more to storytelling than kicking windows in and making close escapes. the mun: Everything scares me, and Jay scared me at first, too. Even more so because I was told she is not fond of abrupt new contacts and might act reserved at first. I wasn’t sure if we would be able to bond at all, but I was wrong. Jay is an avid shitposter, a hilarious girl, and a caring friend. Getting to know her was not as tedious as I feared, as she’s a little troll with problematic interests, just as I am. We don’t talk in private much, but we share servers, and I feel comfortable around her. She’s an amazingly skilled, creative, intelligent, observant individual, and has less flaws than her own muse.

Random Thought

So when it comes to role play it seems like there are a couple of different personas surrounding Leah, and because I’m crazy, I thought I’d try to explain them to you all even though none of you asked about it. XD

So first, there’s me, the mun. In a way, I’m kind of Leah’s god. I created her, and I’m mostly responsible for orchestrating what happens to her. I know her thoughts, hopes, and dreams. I generally know how she will react to the situations she’s presented with. I’m a benevolent deity who loves and cares for my creation, although I am not omnipotent, so I can’t always prevent her suffering.

Then there’s Leah the character. She resides solely within Azeroth, and lives her life as a mighty troll hunter of the Darkspear tribe, one who fights to protect her home from the Legion, the Scourge, the Old Gods, whatever threat arises. She founded the Voodoo Expedition League out of a love for her people and their culture. She’s fiercely loyal to her friends, likes the beach, and loves her mate with all her heart. She knows nothing of me, the World of Warcraft, or the blog I dedicated to her.

Then there’s the other Leah. She’s kind of a go-between for me and character Leah. She has all of Leah’s character traits, plus my god-like omniscience, so she knows about my world and Azeroth and to her they’re both real places. She will occasionally take over my tumblr to vague-blog, post quotes, and post songs she likes. Sometimes she’s the one that answers your asks. She also drunk sings “Black Velvet” and other songs that don’t translate well to life on Azeroth. She also sometimes takes over character Leah and metas things (not often, I’ve yelled at her for it). She talks to me in my head sometimes, so I hear Leah’s thoughts when I’m going about my daily activities. She helps me write my stories about character Leah.

So there you have it. You can call the men in white coats now. XD

How I run my blog(s)

It’s-a me, Mulder! So I’m answering this for all my blogs!

This includes: Domino, Sean (OC), Madame Boss (here), Spark, Silver, and Tory.

SPEED:

Meh. Depends on how motivated I am, whether the Exhaustion(TM) is getting to me, and how much I like to. I usually do all my threads at once if I can... within a few days? A day, or an hour. Depends.

REPLIES:

...Depends on the plot. I usually eventually drop domestic nothing eeeever happens plots unless we have plans for something to change or a concrete plot (three days of vacation OR learning X or doing Y or cooking something disastrous, etc...), because they begin to bore me about 100 or so replies, ha.

I try to match length where I can. One sentence insta-replies are a major turnoff. Nooo such thing as “too long.”

STARTERS:

I dislike writing starters. I’m not good at coming up with ideas from scratch. But I’ll do it if we have a good plot going. Sadly, sometimes a starter call is inevitable or I’ll have zero threads forever... 

I love writing replies, but starters? Not that good.

INBOX:

SELECTIVITY:

I am 100% selective to muns I have spoken to at least once before. Doesn’t matter if it’s just a hi bye, it’s important to me. Other than that, not very! Unless I specifically have reason to dislike you, I probably like you.

WISHLIST:

For Dom: less domestic threads. More Domino... living. Her life is her work, let me show it! Her being an agent, her in disguise, her being an adrenaline addict with no fear, her being standoffish and a bit of a dick like she is to 99% of the populace. Her doing dark and cruel things because it’s what needs to be done. I love playing Dom, and don’t get me wrong, ship threads are the bomb dot com. But they get a little repetitive after a while.

For Sean: more of anything haha really. Give the kid a chance to come into his own! Grow a spine as he grows into his Rocket boots and into his new world- or give him friends that allow him to express his softer sides.

For Madame: I’d like a chance for her to develop an actual emotional attachment to someone. Sure, I love playing both the lording lady and the femme fatale, but let’s see Betta struggle when she finds herself with a pricked heart. Oh, she’d be a character- both cold and cruel and benevolent and generous at alternating times, finding ways to love your characters and yet recoiling and growing cold when they cross a line at random. I’d also love to explore her youth a little more... young Betta finding her way, either swallowing casual sexism or finding ways to get back and punish.

For Spark: guys, I get it, he’s gonna get sick and die before he’s 35. And I love our angst sessions as much as the next man- I love them- let’s give him a chance to live a little first? It just feels like we’re hella heavy on one without the other. Also, I’d kill to have some kind of familial relations- boyfriends? wanna ship? hell yeeess, but also actual family (is there a Surge willing to write AU?) and any kind of mentor/mentee stuff, both bc he is young as heck and because he loves kids and has this side of him that always wished to be a dad of some sort or another. (Also, oddball plots are always welcome, on every blog, hehe. Remember that time Trip thought Spark was a Stepford Wife? That was... Trippy)

For Silver: I want my boy to slowly grow emotional attachments. More of them. Over time. He needs peers his own age- he’s not gonna warm up overnight, but he does make subtle gestures that mean the world if you know how to listen.

For Tory: I have AUs. I have plot bunnies. Come talk to me. I am insecure in writing him [it’s been well over a year] and kinda shy when writing really low-profile characters. I just want to get to play him a little more ;;;;;;

➣  [ ‘ wipes off sweat after following the masterlist ] woo! that was a workout! with that out of the way, it’s time to finally give my proper greetings to the great muns behind the wonderful muses of academykrp!! this is kitty, and this is my first time venturing out of mf/panfandom rp, and i think my friends made the right decision to drag me here to get started (=´∇｀=) i’m not too good with intros like these, but please do like this post so i could slide in your ims (or slide into mine).

[ TL;DR ] 

hyeri is a 95-line junior taking a double major in political science and public administration, all in the name of taking over the world in the near future! she’s very serious about this, and has a twenty-step life-plan to help her achieve it (and with her skills, maybe she really can!)

she’s the daughter of two cosmetic industry giants--her mother owns riverlilee--a world-famous make-up and skin care line (which she models for, sometimes!) while her father is an internationally acclaimed cosmetic surgeon, whose consultation rates go above six figure won prices.

her IQ is over two hundred, and is a member of mensa

even with this, her father doesn’t believe she could be a rightful heir to their industry (spoiler: he’s sexist) and sends her to marriage meetings almost every other week, much to her chagrin.

she topped the CSAT with a near perfect score. she made a speech during the university’s opening ceremony and implied that everybody was inferior to her (”you can work hard and study hard--a great thing!--but you will never be up to my level. but that’s okay! i promise to be a benevolent leader once i’m elected into office. you’ll be in good hands with a genius like me!) you can already guess how the people reacted.

she was offered slots in harvard, along many other known ivy league universities, but declined in favor of bidulgi (she has her reasons!)

she’s jeonghan’s beard fake girlfriend, and have been dating for a total of six years (and counting). she has also known mingyu, chungha ever since middle school, and is cousins with lee jihoon. 

she lives in a three-bedroom, loft-style hotel suite with seola

personality wise, she appears ditzy and self-absored (and she is), but it all changes once she starts talking about the constitution, debating theoretical concepts, or solving high-level mathematical problems in record time. think legally blonde, except she’s a brunette!

hyeri genuinely thinks she’s better than everybody else (there is some truth to that) and has a hard time making friends because of her condescending personality. still, she’s a good kid deep down; her superior intellect just left a few holes in her emotional and social development. 

despite this, she’s still a bad drunk, and becomes touchy, giggly, and prone to stripping to her designer lingerie once intoxicated.=

in summary, hyeri is an over-the-top, larger-than-life, bunny-ears supergenius with genuine plans for world domination, and is gearing up to be the most extra world overlord to ever walk this earth.

[ WANTED RELATIONSHIPS ] 

freshmen who she pays to do mundane errands, like sprinkling flower petals in her path or blowing wind into her hair as she walks to class. these freshmen are either infatuated with her, or just want some extra cash. it’s open to all courses and all genders!

every queen needs a secretary, and hyeri is no exception. this one is a lowerclassman who helps our future world overlord with her hectic schedule, and makes sure she has a cup of her favorite sweet potato latte (soymilk, please) every morning. preferably female, please!

there are very few people who can match her intellect, so when hyeri meets a muse who can keep up with her rapid fire brain, she couldn’t help but feel a little threatened. and now, hands on her waist and high-heeled feet apart, she has publicly declared your muse as her lifelong rival. both an honor and a burden, really. open to all courses and genders!

a benevolent future overlord like hyeri also makes it a point to assist underclassmen and steer them to the right path, so she picks a hoobae from her course to groom. this means access to her well-written notes, free study tips, and even shopping sessions (or drinking!) when she feels like it. political science majors only, all genders!

kids are cruel, and hyeri has been betrayed by a supposed bestfriend when she was five years old, hence her distrust for “plebes”. but lo, their paths cross once more in bidulgi. will it lead to much needed forgiveness, or will you have her heel stuck in your thigh? open to all majors, preferably a junior, and required to be a female. 

everyone wants the benefit of being friends with a rich kid like hyeri, who spends money on her close friends like it was nothing. but do you really like her? or are you just there to get a taste of her fame? 

you’ve known she’s haughty, you’ve known she’s not available (but really, you don’t believe it’s true love), and you’ve known she has the tendency to step on plebes like she was made for it. still, that doesn’t stop you from falling head over heels in infatuation with the future queen, and you’re doing everything to get her to look your way. but really, all it gives hyeri is some slight annoyance and a lot of amusement. are you up for the challenge of a persistent suitor? any major, preferably male. 

[ POSSIBLE PLOTS ] 

you’re sleepy af from pulling an all nighter and was walking aimlessly along the university roads when a speeding car almost ran you over. you almost wanted to ask the driver to try again, but hyeri looks beyond worried when she parks to check if you’re okay. “world overlords can’t have criminal records, so you have to come to the clinic with me”

you know bidulgi is filled with celebrities and high-ranking people, but you still weren’t expecting to see riverlilee’s spokesmodel lee hyeri in the same bathroom as you. what would you do?

as a part of a well-known family, you’ve been invited to a marriage meeting for the lee heiress. what you didn’t expect is that the beautiful girl in your talks with your parents is the condescending genius from university. would you stay to watch how this would go, and maybe lead to discover that the ditzy queen has more depth than she puts out? 

you were quietly walking along the streets of seoul when you spot hyeri hiding behind a standee and she gets the scare of her life when you ask what she’s doing. apparently, her dad set her up to another marriage meeting and the man turned out to smell worse than an onion patch. she then gets an idea to get you help her out of the sticky situation and you’re now swept on a day-long adventure in seoul, hiding from her many bodyguards until the clock strikes twelve (or maybe, beyond?)

get the resident genius as a tutor! 

one of her hobbies is destroying other budding lawyers in mock-court, and you’re picked to be a member of her team for this week’s round.

hyeri is a bad drunk, and is always in a tight situation if she’s not flanked by jeonghan or mingyu. there’s a lot of ways this night could go. 

all of these plots could be picked more than once, and i am absolutely up for brainstorming if nothing here fits!! i hope to have a lot of fun here with my dear extra baby! please take care of me and this baby queen!

anyways here’s rashi, the loml. 

PAST 

rashi is the oldest of four children, but was never destined for the indian throne to begin with, simply due to the fact that she was born a female.

her younger brother, varun, was born just a year after her and was crowned heir apparent as soon as he was born. he was pampered and spoilt all throughout his childhood, something that made rashi incredibly jealous. after all, she was as good as he was, maybe even better in some aspects. yet she was restricted and denied due to the fact that she was a princess, not a prince.

nonetheless, rashi never let this jealousy turn into outright hatred. she loved her brother dearly, and he loved her back just as much.

in fact, it was because of him that rashi progressed onto higher education, instead of just getting the very basic one that most princesses had. he’d insisted that she accompany him to every one of his classes for moral support, and threw a fit every time she left his side. 

her father died when she was fifteen, peacefully and in his sleep. her brother, just fourteen, was crowned the new king with tremendous pomp and show. 

was betrothed to the crown prince of a neighbouring country when she was sixteen. it didn’t come as a surprise to her, nor did she mind it very much. marriage was the fastest way to strengthen relationships and build alliances, something that india desperately needed during the times of war.

her wedding plans came to a screeching halt after her brothers unexpected death on foreign soil. the detectives say that it was a hired assassin who did the deed, but they cannot say for certain. the wedding was called off, and the royal officials scrambled to hastily put together a coronation.

she was crowned queen a mere three days after her brothers death, aged sixteen. she was denied the chance to mourn her closest sibling, and thrust into a world of politics and decision making that she didn’t quite understand.

PRESENT

now aged thirty, rashi has ruled over india for close to fourteen years.

she has instated a lot of changes during these fourteen years. she’s tried to fix the religious barriers that had once torn the country apart, and she’s also tried to make the laws more friendly towards people of lower status. she’s also a passionate supported of education for girls, and has built several girls-only schools around india in an attempt to get parents to send their daughters to school.

the country has conflicting views on her and her reign. some view her as a kind and just monarch, who’s reign will bring about true change in a country that desperately needs it. others think that a woman should have never been given such power to begin with, and that she’s too blunt and outspoken to ever be a good queen.

she’s referred to as samraat rashi singhania on a lot of official royal documents and announcements to the public. samraat means ‘king’ and is generally reserved for use by male monarchs. it holds high value in the court and also in the eyes of the general public. therefore, rashi uses it to gain respect and to establish that she is a regnant in her own right, not just a queen consort.

for her, a peacy treaty being reached is preferred but not necessary. she knows that if her people have to fight, they will be willing to fight with courage. she just wishes that her visit to switzerland will be short so she can get back to her regular duties.

although her advisors want her to find a royal spouse as soon as possible, rashi herself is not too keen on the idea. she likes the freedom and independence that being regnant gives her, something that she would not get as queen consort. there’s also the fact that some of the courtiers will inadvertently try and put her husband above her, just so they can get a male back on the indian throne.

PERSONALITY EXPLAINED

unyielding → once rashi has made up her mind on something, it is very difficult to convince her otherwise. this makes it hard for her to look at consider other people’s points of views and make a holistic judgement. in addition, it makes it incredibly troublesome to get back on her good side once you have double crossed her.

overcritical → this aspect comes from her upbringing. as the king’s oldest daughter, she was subjected to a lot of pressure to be perfect from a young age. sure, this pressure didn’t pertain to intelligence or military tactics, but it was pressure nonetheless. as a result, she hates making mistakes, especially those that have an effect on others. she will berate herself for hours just for the smallest mistakes, even if they are not of much significance.

determined → rashi’s stubbornness can also be a positive sometimes. once she has set her mind to a certain task, rashi will work diligently and not stop until her goal has been achieved. this means that she is able undertake even the most strenuous of projects, even those which would have been abandoned under the reign of any other monarch.

benevolent → to her own people, rashi is incredibly kind and considerate. she holds public festivals every second week in order to keep up the spirits of her subjects. she isn’t beyond going to these festivals herself and socializing with the commoners. she also grants reasonable loans to anybody who comes to her with a good reason, wanting her money to be put to good use.

CONNECTIONS I WANT

monarch of the country where her brother had died → fair warning that rashi isn’t likely to be very nice to this person to begin with. she thinks that the monarch may have been involved in her brothers death in some form and maybe even hired the assassin who killed him.

ex-betrothed → although their engagement ended abruptly, it was on good terms. it is very clear that there is nothing romantic happening between them anymore, but they still remain fairly close friends.
