PLOT:

Pre-canon, Pyrrha-in-G1deon gets captured and interogated by Wake/BOE. Pyrrha finds Wake 50% hot for this, and 50% terrifying (so: hot). Pyrrha could actually probably break out at any time but 1) Wake is just SO sexy when she puts on the mask and gloves and presses the gun to Pyrrha's neck, and 2) G1deon seems to be taking an extended break and she is kind of worried about that, maybe if Wake pushes her harder G1deon will come back? It's worth a shot! inadvisable smut ensues.

RANDOM PLOT POINTS:

They are keeping her on a space station bc they know that being in space decreases necro power (important for later)

Pyrrha being VERY forward and flirty, Wake is not immune to this but every time Pyrrha does anything TOO hot Wake turns up the notch on whatever interogation technique she happens to be using at the time. this does not have the intended results!!! haha just kidding unless??

Wake rides Pyrrha while she's tied up in the chair. Wake has definitely hacked the security and audio feeds to be on a loop of Pyrrha just sitting there so they BOTH have to be quiet so the guards down the hallway don't know what's happening

BOE is eventually like "Wake, you are never gonna get anything out of that wizard so we have decided to kill it", thus resulting in Wake doing Pyrrha's handcuffs a little looser leaning in close and saying under her breath that Pyrrha has about 30 seconds to run but that's as much as Wake is willing to do, and if Pyrrha is too slow Wake will NOT hesitate to join in pursuit. Pyrrha DOES run, Wake DOES join in pursuit, Pyrrha manages to escape in a shuttle and they make eye contact one last* time

*they rendevouz like 1 week later. slightly more advisable but still inadvisable smut ensues. Fin!!!

got a cracky headcanon that has so much sugary fluff in it that i don't feel shameless enough to post it as a fic lol

so my bard wood half elf, layla, has a guild artisan background--i vaguely headcanoned it as a kind of backup career she prepared for, in case the swordfighting-and-barding around faerun gig didn't work out. so mostly like intermediate-level woodworking, with some textiles/embroidery knowledge on the side

and then in the case of the stuffed toys plot, she gets so pissed off about that, that she asks the flaming fist guard in charge of the donations storehouse if she could take the box of them and clean them up and fix them before re-sending them back to donations

'sure, why not' the guy says, 'i already filed my report on it and all. i'll keep one of them for evidence but take the rest'

then back at camp, her companions watch as she's cleaning off all these toy teddy bears, refluffing them, and tearing apart a bunch of fancy clothes they swiped off of cazador's palace after freeing astarion, and making little outfits for them

so u get some bears with princess hats, and bears with cloaks, and bears in like little doublets and such in shiny brocades and silks. some of them have little wooden sword accessories tied to their belts too lol

(she even gets gale to cast several fireproofing and waterproofing spells over the whole lot)

layla also ends up handing one (a teddy bear with white fur, in a little dark outfit with silver embroidery decorations) to astarion, who stares at it in puzzlement for five whole minutes

"darling," he says slowly, "as much as i adore anything that comes from your hands, you do know i am an over 200-year old elf right?"

layla holds up another teddy bear, this one in a little purple dress that also has embroidery done on it

"he comes in a pair," she says, wholly straight-faced. "they're supposed to match"

The grunt released their grip on his shirt, dropping him onto the snow. His vision was blurred- droplets of scarlet on the white... He didn't even have time to move until a swift kick was delivered to the center of his chest. Paris cried out, attempting to curl in on himself to avoid any further harm. They were talking- he couldn't make out what they were saying.

He noticed someone rummaging through his bag- having been dropped somewhere on the ground earlier. In a panic, he tried to stand- tried to stop them, only for someone to grab him by the hair, slamming him back onto the snow-covered floor. Everything was a haze- it didn't feel real, none of it felt real...

The pressure on his back- a boot? was lifted, suddenly, noisily. He recognized a familiar voice- Lumi?- He lifted his head, the group of Plasma grunts were retreating, a pink Sneasel attempting to chase after them, but it was too late. They were gone.

He could feel his body being carried- more dragged, to a nearby tree, to prop him up. She looked terrified, first looking through her own bag for something, before turning to the scattered contents of his own. He couldn't make out what she was saying- hardly anything, his head was ringing. He could make out the words 'ranger' and 'hospital,' but not much else, until-

"Where's Pixie?.. Oh... Oh, nonono-"

I’m not sure there’d be like much of an interest in that though, but I can definitely bring it up and see if that’s smt people would want. If it is though, I’d be all for that tbh, like the possibility genuinely makes me a bit giddy lmao but yeah idk if that’d be like a reality for now yk?

Your tag a few posts back, why do you hate the cat books?

Okay so to preface: I genuinely adore warrior cats. I do. It's been my "main" special interest since I was around 9. I have thought abour warrior cats daily since then. However these books straight up fuckin SUUUUCK. This isn't a matter of "Why aren't these childrens book for children appealing to me as an adult?", they are bad AS CHILDRENS BOOKS. I can forgive shitty writing, but warriors tries its HARDEST to make itself as unappealing and godawful as possible through bland worldbuilding and characters, and the absolute RAMPANT myraid of issues, with misogyny and ableism as the two most frequently discussed. Female characters are CONSISTENTLY written as being "unreasonable" when compared to their male counterparts, who may be on their level OR WORSE in terms of bad actions, but get excuses for their actions BY THE NARRATIVE ITSELF whereas the women don't. Disabled characters are treated as less than, once again, not just by the characters, but by the narrative. Firestar literally tells Cloudtail that Brightheart, his MATE and AN ADULT, is going to be his apprentice and responsibility because she's disabled, and that Firestar "knows" she'll never be a "real" warrior. This entire conversation happens with Brightheart present in the scene, yet she is never spoken to by either character. She is an object given zero agency in her own life because she is both disabled and a woman. Fuck, the ENTIRE FIRST ARC ends with the concept of "Our religion makes us moral", as Firestar is DIRECTLY TOLD by Barley that Scourge and BloodClan don't believe in StarClan and therefore don't feed or take care of the sick, young, or elderly. As it stands I refuse to read or engage with the current arc, as it's extreme misogyny is too much for me to tolerate without just pissing myself off.

From a story perspective, and putting aside the actual real problematic elements, the worst part of warrior cats is the lack of follow through on genuinely interesting concepts. We are consistently told StarClan is a perfect utopia and is never wrong (Which is a problem within itself), and then are given an entire arc abou StarClan making a mistake. Instead of an actually interesting discussion of how dead cats are just that, dead cats, and not mystical paragons, the books end with "Well that was sure a weird one-off occurance! Nothing about this system will change." Warrior cats has SO MANY good concepts and ideas and does NOTHING WITH THEM.

Now, the question is, why do I still enjoy warrior cats if I hate it so much? Well, frankly, that's because 90% of my engagement is taking the skeleton that is warriors worldbuilding and make 5,000 OCs. That and, there are genuinely really good aspects of warriors. Yellowfangs death scene, I feel, is actually an emotional and well written scene, and the forest fire directly beforehand is legitimately tense. Squirrelflight is a fantastic character! While I'm not a huge fan of her character in general, I think basically every concept behind Hollyleaf is incredibly interesting. There IS a lot there, its just gritting your teeth and sitting through a million pages ranging from "mediocre" to "ungodly boring" to "downright rage inducing".

Unfortunately all of my favorite OCs are also warrior cats and I own the official Squirrelflight plushie so uh. I'm not going anywhere!
