okay so i just saw your datsugoku oktavia cover and wanna throw my two cents in. i kinda always interpreted the part with the guitar solo as "wait for me... wait for me!" as like. kawasemi not wanting to be left behind by kuina with kuina falling into the regime after all hfskjfks but "if only... if only i'd-!" IS STILL EMOTIONAL AS HELL BRO...

MAN THAT HURTS TOO.. In the fandom Kawasemi seems to be always the really cheerful/goofy guy but the angst of the MV though…. HIS PAIN AND LONELINESS…

I love how in an MV like Datsugoku’s, even a guitar solo can carry such a significance… Personally I interpret the guitar solo to be about both of them because it could be symbolizing Kawasemi’s yearning for the freedom before him but also the hastiness of Kuina’s chase, seeing that both characters' motivates and current occupations are revealed

OR ALTERNATIVELY

I think lyrically, the second half of the second chorus is Kawasemi already in the plane, flying towards the rotting ceiling and pushing down on the throttle
