Fia wanted to get all her eggs in a row before plunging into a relationship with any other entity, or in this case, a food truck. Although she did envisioned her brick and mortar grand opening being with lighter treats in-store for those who pass through, she couldn't negate the possibilities here. As her father always stated, consider all options that were presented before you and not simply deciding based off of emotion or personal gain and desire. Fia had to give credit where it was due and she certainly could not fault Sola for taking up the opportunity before them.

"Well I certainly appreciate the interest and the possibility that could stem from said partnership. We'll have to get a meeting in the books for the New Year to discuss in more details." That as well as Fia trying out the actual dishes Sola's food truck offered. Fia was only willing to back-up something she had a vetted interest and like in after all. "I'm certainly not opposed to what you're offering, and like you mentioned, it could be a great opportunity for the both of us." At the end of the day, Fia was all about supporting other small businesses. It's about damn time she lifted one up while in the pursuit and success of her own. Reaching for her champagne glass, she cheers towards the other. "To new opportunities and promising adventures!"

"Yeah, it's not too bad," Sola shrugged modestly, though she knew she was purposefully toning herself down now that this had turned into an actual opportunity instead of just a fun, stupid yelling of ideas and hyping her truck up like Sola was used to. Even if it made her nervous (and it did), she had to respect the other woman for her hustle and her clear vision where Sola usually felt like she was totally winging things and just getting lucky that they fell into place. She found herself missing her partner in that moment; while neither of them were completely equipped for the actual adult side of running things, Sola thought herself pretty awful at it, while her partner was at least a little more passable.

Well, she definitely hadn't come in with something in mind, but she'd gotten this far, hadn't she? Pretty much talking out of her ass, Sola said, "Well, it wouldn't have to be now, but I imagine brick and mortar is your end goal too. Could be an opening day kinda thing. Sometimes our location drops are random, but those actually pull pretty big crowds because, I don't know, people want to seem like they know shit other people don't. So we drop our location on your opening day, tell the people that show they get a little discount at your store if they buy at the truck, vice versa... We'd definitely get a lot of foot traffic too, if you're setting up downtown."

Does your muse prefer to be in the company of others, or alone?

“I like a healthy medium. Company is important, as is the company you keep. I won’t put myself in a crowd of people who aren’t similar to me, or share the same interests or morals, and the like, so that’s when I choose being alone. Or sometimes my head isn’t on right, and being alone is for the better.

I get visits from my old coworkers from Flora and Fauna. I see all my community garden members, and there are regulars that come by the gardens. Sola shoots me a message when she’s got her truck parked outside so I can visit for lunch, and little Miss Cricket carries a light with her that I sometimes very sorely miss when we go without seeing each other for some time.

There’s also Keo who adds some liveliness to my home. He can deplete all of my shampoo and conditioner as he needs, I keep the bathroom closet stocked for that, and I try to keep snacks in the fridge he likes if he ever feels hungry because his presence, even if it's brief, is very much so welcomed. 

But when I need company, as in, really really need it, Will is a phone call away. We will go to All Nighter and chat about everything and nothing all at once, up until our coffees get cold. 

I’m sorry, I ran away with that one, but while I like my solitude, I do appreciate the company of those folks.”

And that's, like, whatever, right? We graduated, I could get over--no, I am over it, unlike some less mature people--but it's just like...he sucks, sorry! But there's no telling Sola that, obviously. She's my best friend, but I honestly just don't know what she sees in him, and I don't want to see her get hurt by him again...especially not after what went down after graduation. Like he's such a good guy, but I'm the one comforting her the morning after they slept together? I'm the one offering to come back home when he, plot twist, is actually still with his girlfriend, fiancé, whatever the fuck? Yeah, okay, my bad. Real good guy, that Ravi."

North, South, East, West -- Ziggy despise him in every way he could and from all directions and platforms. Most of the time, it made him work better at his own content but on occasion it had caused him to put out subpar work just to beat him to the punch.

"A little, which I know is heavy over dinner." His pancakes had long-since grown cold, giving them a consistency that made him feel like he could slap someone with one if he tried to. He slides a strawberry off the top of his half-eaten stack before he digs his fork through all four at once, cutting off another bite as he listens to Sola's take, intrigued and engaged.

"See I think that's the case with me. I try for it to be, but then there's opinions of me that are so vastly different that it makes me wonder am I somehow portraying myself as two different people? On one hand I've been told I'm funny and warm and kind and then boom, I hear about how petty and nasty and mean I am. I know we're all layered and nuanced and human and no one is any singular thing but Jesus, I don't know how I can be the best and worst person alive at the same time."

Sola returned briefly to her meal as Ziggy's arms dropped, and she was inhaling a good fifth of her milkshake when the vibe shifted significantly. "We're gettin' existential now, are we?" Still, she rolled with it, mouth returning to her straw as she pondered the question seriously.

"Not really?" she said honestly. "I feel like what you see is what you get with me. Like, there's not much of a separation between my brain and my mouth, which I feel is usually what fucks people up."

Well, in most cases anyway, but there was always an exception to any rule. Maybe there was one person who she'd die to get into the head of, just to see what he saw when he looked at her. That wasn't for now, though.

"I get the vibe that you don't feel the same way, though." She abandoned her milkshake again to turn back to Ziggy fully. "Lay it on me, dude."

"That's my boy! I met Ravi while I was living out in Los Angeles and I was a little home sick—which is fucked up if you know what my home life was like, but we vibe. Anyway, I met him at time that I really needed a piece of home with me and having another AB native with me really helped me stand on my own two feet for the very first time. We lived together for awhile—had our own little found family going on with Sola and Robin—and that was one of the best times of my life." @ravirussell @solaadisa

"Omorinsola Fisayo Adisa will live rent free inside my head probably until the day that I die...which could very well be by the wheels of the Jolyani truck, but like...what a way to go, am I right? Seriously though, not to get all sappy and gross and emosh, but Sola's kinda the first real best friend I'd ever made who just matched my freak, like, right away. She wasn't just exactly who I needed to meet at that time in my life, but has literally been exactly who I needed every time since. Taste tester, study buddy, business partner, the person you share your location with when your date might be a little sketch...and then the person who calls you with an elaborate excuse to give your date when he did turn out to be more than a little sketch. Like I don't even think she knows just how much I owe her for being the one to even convince me to move out here in the first place. I don't know if I even know how much, but I'm more than happy to be forever indebted to her if it means making sure that I'm whatever she needs me to be, too."
