Five had only been back for a few hours, at most. Despite the pressing knowledge of what was to come he’d been silently touring the mansion in what was a self-indulgent, if mournful, nostalgia trip. The calm before the storm, if you will. The bittersweet flooding back of childhood memories shaded in regret and unavoidable what-ifs. He’s missed his family, there is no other way around it. He loves them and he is glad to finally be able to see them again. How could he not?
