( MISSING! ) JANUARY WRITING GOALS! [ I'm planning on having fixed writing goals for the year, but not for January. Wow, what a great start Toby! There is a good reason, I promise! From the 6th to 22nd I'm going to be on vacation. I'm going to Australia with my s/o. Which basically mean I'm going to have less than 2 weeks of writing time this month ( I'm not going to be doing any writing while on vacation ). I'm still really tired from the December grind, so I know I need to recover when we get back. A goal for January is just not realistic. So, no specific word count goal this month. ]

Louis stood up and dusted his hands off, and Mia could see his frown even through his mask. “Do we want to take a break here, and head back to the base? Come back once we’ve rested?”  Yakumo’s brows rose. “If you’re the one suggesting that, then….”  “I know, I know,” he sighed, and shook his head. “But Aiden clearly isn’t alright, and this place has been difficult on all of us. I don’t like the idea of turning back now, but I don’t want to risk one of us turning to ash.”  “If we leave now, then the Lost we’ve already defeated might reform before we come back,” Mia pointed out. Idly she brushed Aiden’s hair out with her fingers, and she could still feel flecks of dried blood against the long strands. Her own hair was greasy, dirty, and no better, and she desperately wanted a shower, but practicality had to come first. This wasn’t her first foray into dangerous territory that held something she wanted, and creature comforts would be secondary until they were done.  Louis frowned beneath his mask, his eyes narrowing as he looked at the larger platform that had held the berserk Lost that had almost taken all of them out. He glanced first at Yakumo, then at her, then finally at Aiden, and seemed to weigh his options.  “It’s a valid concern,” he said finally, and sighed. “But I’d rather us be cautious than reckless. Any death here might take weeks to reform from, and we’re lower on supplies than I’d like. Not to mention Aiden’s probably not feeling well — the vestige was one of his.”  Mia’s brows rose, and she looked down at the sleeping revenant in a new light. No wonder he’d acted like he did, if it held a death of his. Some of her own deaths had been brutal, and she had no desire to relive the sequence of events that lead to them.

A very niche post that probably no one will relate to, but I've been laughing so damn hard at the Silent Hill 2 Remake presentation at State of Play. God, I can't remember the last time I saw something so bad I genuinely couldn't even be mad at it. Why does Angela look like that. Why do they all sound like that. Why are the graphics like that. Why are the environments built like that. Why is the camera angle like that.

I mean, it's Konami, so maybe it'll actually turn out decent in the end, but. Goddamn. Tell me you missed the whole point without telling me you missed the whole point. Love how they're clearly trying to follow the Resident Evil 2 Remake formula without actually understanding why it worked for that specific franchise in the first place.

Also, I hope everyone who bashed onto Silent Hill Homecoming are real silent now. At least that game knew what to do with its atmosphere and used the camera angle in a pretty damn smart way.

Anyway.

I'll be laughing at the horrendous voice acting and emotionless face structures.

Mia Wasikowska has joined the cast of ‘A Way Away.’ The filming of the project is set to start in Slovenia this fall. Sara Kern serves as the writer and director of the movie. Wasikowska will star alongside Jette Ostan Vejrup. The plot revolves around 11-year-old Rana, who, following her mother’s injury, takes it upon herself to shield her younger sister from their untrustworthy uncle, who has stepped in to assist the family.

Tickletober Dabble Requests are Open!!!

Hello everyone! October is in a little more than a month, so it’s time to start preparations for Tickletober! I’m opening requests for dabbles (under 1,000 word stories) with this year’s prompts! There’s three different lists of amazing prompts this year and I’m indecisive and can’t choose, sooo I’m letting everyone else choose! Even though there’s three different prompts, I’ll only do one prompt for each day. Once that day is chosen, I’ll mark the chosen prompt in bold and put that day as “TAKEN” to the side. (Like last year, I’ve reserved some days for some of my own ideas!) On some of the days, there may only be one prompt. This is the prompt I want to do the most that day, but don’t have any characters or scenarios for it yet, so they’re still available to be requested! (As of now, the maximum is three requests per person / requester.)

Here’s how you can send a request: Please choose one prompt from the specific day and state which one you have chosen in an ask. In addition to the prompt, please send the characters of your choosing! Although not required, a scenario with your chosen characters and its correlation to the prompt would be helpful! (Example: For day 21 - New Discovery, Iono discovers that Brassius is ticklish when he’s a guest on her stream. Naturally, she has to use this new information to her advantage.) You don’t have to word it exactly like this, just an example!
