She cannot take that look in the girl's eyes, that flicker of something akin to... she wants to call it pity. Perhaps something less degrading, but there nonetheless. Perhaps realizing just what the situation must be, for Mayura to seek her out like this. If this were a ploy, it would have been an impressively effective one.

"Think of it as... quid pro quo. Information for information." Even now, she is careful to toe the line, saying only what she must to get her point across. This would be so much easier if she could just speak the complete truth, but she's too far gone, now, and while she disagrees with the path he sees himself on, she doesn't wish to end Gabriel's reign just yet. Not when they were so, so close.

The fan is flicked open, then shut again, tapping anxiously against Mayura's palm. "I'm sure you have questions you wish you could ask. For answers, within reason, I just want one thing. Protection... for someone else. A promise that you won't go meddling in places you shouldn't."

Ladybug's lips pinch into a thin line. She's not going to debate the jab at the label of 'so-called' villains. You don't terrorize a city for months, turning people against those they love, using people's emotions against them, and be labeled as anything except a villain in her book. Oh yes, she certainly believes that Monarch had a reason for what he did, but that didn't make it right.

But that wasn't the issue at the moment. Mayura had come to talk and Ladybug could at least hear what she had to say--as much as she wanted to take her yo-yo and swing away that instant.

"What kind of deal? What do you mean?" she pressed, questions tumbling out of her mouth as a horrified realization crashed around her. Was Mayura okay? Did she not feel safe? The thought of Monarch hurting anyone else, even and especially an ally sent an entirely new wave of poison into her gut.

A/N: In wave of inspiration I drafted 3 new fics yesterday and THIS WAS NOT ONE OF THEM. This one just spawned today and it's the fault of @dokidoki-muffin and her amazing art that inspired me🤭

Summary: Narumi and Hirotaka continue dating with the golden rule: no otaku talk during their romantic outings unless you would like to contribute to the piggy bank. A great rule for those who have money. (Also on AO3)

Such a beautiful spring day! It was the perfect Shoujo scenario date. A stroll in the park, a swan boat date surrounded by couples, a romantic picnic for two while enjoying the beautiful sunset...

"We're being so romantic, Hirotaka! Seeing us together like this, I ship us harder than Dr. Ratio and Aventurine, which says a lot! Their chemistry is really off the charts!"

Without a word, Hirotaka instantly held out the otaku-off-limits piggy bank. Narumi gasped. Where did he get that! As if the damn thing just spawned in his hands like a video game item!

"Too bad, Narumi. You held out for so long without breaking the rule," Hirotaka said dramatically.

"You brought Bernard?!" she shrieked.

"I still disagree with that name. But yes. Penalty time, you geeked out," Hirotaka said. Narumi sighed and covered her face with her hands.

"Geek out, geek out? H-how did I geek out?"

"You talked about Honkai Star Rail, again. On top of that, a BL couple. It is against our dating rule."

"You're so mean, Hirotaka! Besides, Honkai Star Rail is a game. You should geek out with me then."

"That's not the rule. Besides, I already told you it's not my kind of game. Pay up," Hirotaka said, and he shook the piggy bank. Narumi listened to the sound of the coins inside and she sighed.

"Can you forgive me this once?" she asked, feeling her pockets. Not even a 1-yen coin was left.

"Why? You know it's our date-rule. You made me pay too, the other day. Twice."

"But that was because you wouldn't stop bringing up Monster Hunter. Paying twice was the ultimate minimum compared to how much you geeked out."

"I also recall you made me pay when we went to Disney Sea too, last weekend."

"But you wouldn't stop doing these unnecessary raids in Pokemon Go!" Narumi whined. Hirotaka glared at her.

"I don't see the difference. So, rules are rules. You pay. That would be 500 yen, miss." He held out the piggy bank. Narumi fiddled with her clothes.

"Then... can I pay later?" she asked. Hirotaka cocked his head.

"I don't see why. Don't tell me you're broke?"

.... Narumi hesitated for too long, so Hirotaka gasped. "You are broke!" he yelled, and Narumi quickly grabbed his hands.

"No no no, I'm not broke! I'm just out of cash! Don't forget I bought us drinks and ice cream for our date today! That was everything I had with me... today! I have money at home, a-and on my bank account!"

Narumi felt her cheeks getting red knowing that was not true, especially when Hirotaka gave her this judging stare.

"Do you really?" he asked. "So when we go to your home now, or to the bank, you can pay?"

Narumi blushed and bit her lip. Nooo! "M-maybe?" she said. Hirotaka sighed.

"Just what did you do with your money this time?" he asked. Narumi nervously played with her clothes.

"Well... T-there were tickets on sale for Comic Con..."

"Ah, Comic Con. I remember you asked me to go. Those tickets are expensive," Hirotaka said.

"Hmm yes, you turned me down. S-so I still bought two tickets, for Hana-chan and me."

Hirotaka frowned. "And...?" he asked. Narumi lowered her head.

"I a-accidentally bought them twice."

Hirotaka jumped up again. "What! Twice? How?"

Narumi shrugged. "Well you see, these things happen. They were on sale on the website, and you have to be there soon because they sell out fast - a-and there was also a special sale that included a meet & greet with my favorite seiyuu on another website. I wanted to make sure to get at least one of them! I was in the online queue on the two websites and, actually ended up getting both! I didn't expect I would. It's a miracle."

"...A miracle that cost you a lot of money. So, you can just sell one set, right?"

"I can't. One has the VIP package and the other has the special meet & greet! They're different! I have to keep both!"

Hirotaka groaned. "Are you serious right now? You can't just pay entrance fee once and the special packages separately? Sounds like a scam. So anyway, that's why you're broke?"

"It's not a scam, just my mistake! Hana-chan didn't want to sell hers and I I kind of said I could keep mine too... And yes now I am broke, but only for the weekend. Hana-chan will pay me back her share when we are at the office. I have food at home too. I'll be fine."

It had really not been Narumi's intention to spill the truth about this unfortunate money situation to Hirotaka. It all went so well, with her just offering the little money she had for the least expensive treats today, such as drinks and ice cream, while Hirotaka paid their lunch, picnic snacks and boat ride like a true gentleman. He originally wasn't going to find out about the her blunder, and about her greed.

To think that her geeking out about one of her favorite BL pairings was the cause of this.

Speaking of...

"That's a shame. You do owe me then," Hirotaka said. Narumi jolted, sad that he was really returning to the penalty topic.

"Y-yes! I'll pay later!"

Hirotaka shook his head. "I mean, it's not about the money. You know that. More like, the small punishment for breaking the rule to keep our dates romantic." He smiled, and Narumi's heart fluttered.

"Romantic.." she mumbled with a blush, remembering why they had installed the rule in the first place. It wasn't always easy to be the friends-to-lovers couple after all.

"I think I can let you off, if we change the punishment. How about that?" Hirotaka suggested. Narumi cried out in delight and nodded.

"Yes. Yes! What should I do?"

Hirotaka stared into the distance. He pointed. "Run up and down those stairs."

Narumi stared at the huge ass stairs, leading to the shrine they didn't visit today for the exact reason of those stairs being too damn long.

"...Twice," Hirotaka said with a smirk. Narumi looked at him in horror.

"You might as well just kill me then," she said dramatically.

"Or... You'll let me tickle you. For..." Hirotaka said, taking his phone and tapping something. He then held up the timer.

"...Six whole minutes."

"Six? That's specific. Not five?"

"Six. So, would you agree?" Hirotaka asked. Narumi nodded.

"Sure, let's go home first."

Hirotaka shook his head. "No, we'll do it here." Narumi gulped and looked around the park. There were couples everywhere. Families... Dogs. People.

"Why, are you embarrassed? It's not like there's anyone we know here."

"B-b-but!" Narumi squeezed Hirotaka's hands and she shook her head. Did he really think so lightly of getting tickled in public? Someone as ticklish as her?!

"M-m-my dignity!" she stuttered, and she grabbed Hirotaka's shirt and tugged it repeatedly.

"You have to spare my dignity!"

"Hm? What dignity?" was Hirotaka's cold reply. Oof! Meanie! Narumi let out a whine and leaned her head against his chest.

"Is there really no third option?" she asked. Hirotaka chuckled.

"No, it's either stairs or tickling." The villain. He obviously knew Narumi couldn't even run up and down those stairs twice, having the stamina of a wanky banana peel. She'd strand in the middle and gasp for air like an old woman on her dying bed. Now that might even be more embarrassing than getting tickled.

"F-f-fine.... Tickle me then," she finally sighed. "But if people laugh at me, you have to stand up for me and tell them I'm beautiful."

Hirotaka smirked. "Don't you worry. You'll be doing most of the laughing here. Let's not mind other people."

That made Narumi blush, and she repositioned herself on their picnic sheet, shuffling awkwardly.

"S-so what do I do?" she asked while Hirotaka put his phone down.

"You come to me," he said. He turned on the timer and spread his arms.

"Come here," he said gently, and for a moment he really looked gentle, welcoming his precious girlfriend for a hug. But the moment she moved closer, she could already see his expression change. This wasn't Hirotaka being gentle, this was her villain boyfriend who was way too smug as he lured her into his tickle trap!

"Gotcha," Hirotaka said when she was so flustered she tried to move away again, and he locked her in his arms, bringing one hand to her side while the other moved up, immediately aiming for her underarm.

"Wawawa-wahahhaait Hirotakahahaha! Spahahare me a lihihittle!" Narumi whined when his fingers began to wiggle around their chosen tickle spots. She wriggled and squirmed in his arms, but Hirotaka reminded her he wasn't as weak as he looked - no offense, but it was the truth! And she couldn't help but love him for it.

"It's better to not mind them," Hirotaka said when Narumi couldn't help but turn her head to watch the judging couples in the distance. So embarrassing! It wasn't as if her getting tickled was the worst that was happening out here! Look, there were people kissing over there! Aaah!

"Buhuhut- aahaha! Wait no- not thehere!" Narumi laughed. Hirotaka had moved the hand on her lower side further up and tickled her ribs, while the other continued to gently wiggle its fingers under her arm. Narumi grabbed Hirotaka's jacket and she shook with hysterical laughter.

"I'm gohohonna ehehexplode!" she howled dramatically. Hirotaka chuckled fondly.

"No you won't," he said, and she gulped when he suddenly pushed her down on her back. He towered over her and grabbed both sides of her ribcage, his fingers racing up and down as if she was playing a game. Narumi squealed and tried to grab his hands and pry them off her as a reflex, but to no avail.

"Aaaahahaha nohoho it tihicklehehes!" she whined.

Hirotaka even captured both her hands and only needed one hand to pin them above her head. With the other he clawed and poked her ticklish armpit that was now helplessly exposed.

"HIROTAHAAKAAAA!" Narumi kicked her legs, messing up their picnic sheet. Despite everything she was very aware of the people staring at her and the way it made her blush - but even more aware of her boyfriend's fingers tickling and making her blush even worse!

"Three more minutes. We're halfway there," Hirotaka informered her, and Narumi shook her head wildly.

"Bwahahaha I cahahan't take ahahanymohohore!" she cackled. The fond smile Hirotaka showed her was so unfair.

"I'm sure you can," he said. He released her hands and continued the tickle attack by wiggling his fingers all over her tummy. Narumi screeched and tried to curl up. Reluctant to hit her precious attacker in the face, she pounded the picnic sheet like a madwoman.

"Plehehease! Hahahave mehehercy!" she shrieked. Hirotaka glanced at his phone.

"I will. After two minutes and fourteen seconds."

"Gahaahha I wihihill dieeehehehe!" Narumi wailed. She weakly tried to crawl away, but Hirotaka only needed to tickle her underarms again to make her collapse. He then settled with wrecking her socked feet for the remaining minutes. Hirotaka was pure evil.

"Nyaahhaahaha I cahahan't breheheathe!"

"You're doing just fine."

Narumi was sure he cheated. He must've secretly extended the timer or something, because no way had it actually been six minutes by the time he stopped. It felt like it was way longer. Narumi wrapped her arms around her stomach and wheezed.

Hirotaka looked at her with a charming smile.

"Game over, right? Well, I must admit this was way more enjoyable. If you like, we can just stop paying to Bernard and tickle-punish you instead, anytime you act like an otaku during our dates."

".....Pffffthehehe," Narumi giggled, muffling the sound with the back of her hand.

"Hmm? Still feeling ticklish?" Hirotaka asked teasingly. She shook her head.

"You called the piggy bank Bernard."

"Oh. Yes, I guess I did."

"And, introducing the tickle punishment as a permanent penalty means I get to tickle you too."

"....Oh. I guess so?" Hirotaka said, suddenly sounding a lot less smug and confident.

"And I will claim my six minutes right away, because you just said a gamer otaku thing."

"Huh?!"

"You said 'game over', that counts."

"Eh? It's a general phrase! Anyone would say 'game over'. Non-gamers would say it too."

"No, let me tickle you. Six minutes tickle punishment coming right up!"

"That's way too long for- aaaahh!" Narumi was suddenly no longer tired now that she chased after Hirotaka who was acting way more flustered all of a sudden. He tried to get away but she pounced on him and immediately began to tickle.

"Ahahahah! Nahaharumi! At leheheast tuhuhurn ohohon the tihihimer ahahaha!"

"Naah, you can keep count for me!" Narumi sang teasingly, and she enjoyed the sound of Hirotaka's cute laughter. She kind of agreed with him now. This was a lot more fun than the piggy bank.

And what was also a lot more fun: at the end of their park date filled with embarrassing tickle punishments, Hirotaka came with the sweetest suggestion. He'd buy the extra ticket for Comic Con from her, and convince Kabakura to join Hanako as well. They would attend the event with all four of them, while Narumi and Hanako could experience all of the extras as they wished. Woohoo!

Evil tickle monster tendencies aside, he really was the cutest boyfriend ever!

Hi, a 'BT' here! (Although I also happily ship buddie too because multishipping is so valid!) I come in peace and just looking for some discourse if that's okay? I saw the ask in regard to apparently BTs are saying that all the focus on rg means he's leaving? I haven't seen anyone say that on either side so a strange one huh!

But it was more your comments in terms of pushing for Tommy to replace Eddie as lead when Ravi is right there and I just wanna say I agree! And I have seen many bucktommy shippers including myself pushing for Ravi to be main cast. He absolutely should be and deserves it and is an absolute darling angel and I love what he brings to the whole dynamic!

My biggest hope for Tommy is for his to be recurring much like Karen! Speaking of, there's another character I'd love to be main cast and who I think is ahead of the queue in front of Tommy to be main cast. Heck I'd love if all of them got to be main cast but, as much as I love bucktommy, I definitely can see there's an order to who should be main cast and don't want any 'queue jumping'

One other thing I want to out out there as food for thought, is that on both sides I see a lot of discourse thrown out through anonymous asks of 'oh the bts are saying this' or 'the buddies said this ridiculous thing!' And something I would love both sides to seriously consider is... did they really? Or are there just a few people out there who feed on the chaos that it all brings and will send out anon asks that they know will increase this 'fandom war'and pretend they are kn the other side when doing so just to get a reaction and give ammunition to 'their' side to make it seem like one side is delusional and the other side isn't?

Tldr I just wish we all got along and stopped taking messages intended to stir up hate as gospel.

As you know I want tommy out already so no recurring hopes from me sorry 😔💔 ngl at first I was like hmm it can be interesting and I’m not opposed to exploring bt and their potential dynamic and maybe they can redeem him and make him likeable it’d be perfect (like my comparison was if they wrote him like Hannah from bones) but like buddie endgame but as eps went on both he and a section of the fandom became so insufferable to me that I’m like I don’t care about the potential juicy storylines I just want this man off my screen - but it’s totally cool if you like him and ship them it’s just not my cup of tea

For the other part I totally get what you mean and that may be the case like I totally agree that that is possible but I hear like so many things that happen in the bt fandom secondhand cos I’ve got so many of the toxic/annoying ones blocked (my block list is a mile long genuinely) and so many have me blocked too but usually stuff that my anons mention will be talked abt by more people in the fandom (like this is) or like there have been times where if I ask my anons for elaboration links ss etc and they are able to do so

That’s why half the time when I reply it’s more so like “damn didn’t know that if that is the case then xyz” you know? Or if I saw something I’ll mention it and be like oh yeah I saw xyz and this is my opinion on it or answer

Also like I’ve first hand seen things that are like 10x worse or more delusional than the “rg must be leaving and s8 lfj main” thing like no lie some of this stuff makes that seem tame in comparison so it’s like the chances they’ve said this are like HIGH

Genuinely I agree with you on that last point I do wish that this fandom was how it used to be and more peaceful but certain things I follow this kinda mental rule I’ve always had which is that I won’t respect a disrespectful opinion

Like from the very start of the discourse I’ve been very oh let ppl ship what they want and enjoy their fandom space and from the start I’ve encouraged proper tagging to help people do that and like even if you’re fully delusional abt your ship I fully respect that (not saying YOU are but I’m saying like let’s say one side is like yesss they are getting married in s8 and having a baby on the first episode I would genuinely just mentally be like woah that’s a bit delulu but love that for you and move on)

My only issue really has been where people from the bt fandom (not saying they are the only ones who do this but I’m saying personally speaking it’s what I see and what I experience also not saying it’s all the bt fans and I do try to say that as much as possible) being disrespectful whether this be through being racist, being ableist or rude to the buddie fans just to boost their ship

Why, hello there! Glad you made it to my corner of the internet.

This blog is meant to chronicle my most recent playthrough of Morbid Gamer’s Ultimate Decades Challenge, following a family of sims for many generations from the 1300s onwards. I started my first playthrough sometime in the first half of 2023 and had got to the end of the 15th century before the urge struck me to start another one in a more medieval world.

This is the challenge you’ll be seeing on this blog. More infos under the cut.

A note on my posting habits: I have a queue that puts out one post per day. Initially, I wanted to refill that queue after every five years played, but I'll probably switch that to after every year played so it isn't so much work at once.

Some technical details

I’ll be playing this challenge in The Sims 3, which means no Ye Olde Cookbook, Royalty Mod, Simple Living Lot Trait or the like, but I’ve heavily modded my game to achieve a more immersive gameplay.  This challenge will start – but likely not remain in -  the gorgeous custom world of Praaven, which is both medieval and completely roadless.

This challenge will be more historically inspired than historically authentic, both because the game has its limitations and because my scant historical expertise lies more in the early 20th century.

For the most part, I’ll be following the rules defined by Morbid Gamer, with some deviations:

I’ll take some inspiration from Plumbobs and the Past’s ideas to make the challenge a bit more interesting. For example, when my sims go fishing, I’ll have them pay a fee, I’ll deduct 10% of the proceeds for whatever they harvest or sell from household funds, I will use PATP's dowry rules, and probably more.

Instead of starting with three teenagers, I decided to start with two young adults that have already been married for a bit and have two children and a toddler. I had a bit of a story in mind involving the proverbial lady of the house and the local Earl, so I wanted to jump right into the action.

As Sims 3 has no option to plead with the Grim Reaper (although you can play a match of chess with him or be saved by your pet, but you would have to have a pet that likes you for that to work, or both a chess table and enough skill points) I substitute that action with rolling a d4 when a Sim I’d like to live rolls to die. If it’s a 4, they survive.

Since I think it’s boring if most sims (barring historical events) die at exactly 6/13/20/30, I’ll sometimes roll a die to see how many years of life a sim has left. Those years can never be more than the sim would have to live until the next life stage. If, for example, a sim fails their young adult roll, I’ll roll a d10. 10 means the sim dies immediately, 5 means they live to be 25, etc. A teenager or a child, accordingly, can only roll a d7.

Illegitimate children are not automatically out of the running, they just rank after all their legitimate siblings in the succession. So it's legitimate sons, then legitimate daughters, then illegitimate sons, then illegitimate daughters, and after that the nearest-related side household. Rule may be taken liberty with as is dramatically convenient.

For the most part, no re-marriages for side households. The heir, however, can and will remarry as necessary.

I’ll be starting with a family of farmers, the Townsends, but just for the fun of it, I’ll also be rolling for the two resident noble families, that of the Earl of Petersmarch, who resides in the city of Praaven, and that of Baron Elbenhawke, whose family seat is in the hills just above the Townsend’s village. As they are not even proper side households, I’ll only mention the nobles’ fates on the side, mostly as a little info text at the end or mentioned in the story as relevant.

Honestly, I’m just curious about how long their lines will last.

IMPORTANT - BLOG UPDATES 2024 !

I should have made this post at the start of the year, but between the holidays first and working double shifts later (and now), I never got around to doing it till tonight.

I made sure to include everything in this post, so you guys won't have to jump around to check my pages, so please, make sure to read it.

RULES CHANGES

Interactions: Be interested in at least TWO of my muses, or at least be open to try and interact with a couple of the others, outside your chosen one. This way I'll be able to keep interacting with you, even if I were to lose inspiration for one of the characters you have chosen.

Matching effort: I've said this a few times, but this year I've started to apply this rule. I match the energy and the interest I receive. This goes for sending memes and asks (IC and OOC), offering ideas for plots, carrying on the scene in a thread, and so on. I will also try and reach out first more (even if it might take a while because I'm socially super awkward). However, if the effort remains completely one-sided for weeks, I'm here because I want to interact with people, but I'm tired of spending my time and energy on people who don't want to interact with me, even if they say they want to.

I won't be answering drafts so strictly in chronological order as I've tried to do so far. I'll follow my inspiration more, which means that primary muses will get slightly faster replies compared to the others.

For my mental sanity, I'll space out the replies from people who tend to answer me quickly. It's nothing personal, I need to do it not to get overwhelmed.

On the other hand, I'll be more open to brief shenanigans, dash commentary and events-related threads.

Also, if we're mains, we can discuss having a "back and forth" thread (which means a thread with short replies that I'll reply to without queueing it every 3-4 days)

I'll be more selective with who I follow (back), and more liberal when it comes to softblocking people. However, if I softblock you, you can come and talk to me about it (as long as you're ready to be civil).

I enjoy speaking to my followers and mutuals OOC. It helps with character chemistry and dynamics, and it helps make a friend! But I am a pretty intense OOC, and I WILL bother you all the time, probably. It's just how I am, no offense intended or anything as such. But, if something like this bothers you, or you're the type that doesn't like to, or won't, chat with your RP partners OOC, it's probably better if we don't interact. <3

I have been RPing in various forms since I was 13, starting from TTRPGs, to online through the era of AOL and AIM, to message board and the like, until I hit Tumblr around 2010. All in all, I have I've 30 years of RP experience in general and about 14 years on Tumblr.

I do not use a queue. Sometimes I take my time RPing, and sometimes I can reply back very quickly. Whichever is comfortable for me at a time. If I haven’t replied to our thread in over a week, go ahead and give me a nudge, but don’t push or I’ll lose muse for the thread.

I sometimes reply to some threads quicker than others, it all depends on the finickiness of my muse. Sometimes I have muse for some threads over others, and sometimes I get stuck. This does not mean I dislike you or hate you, or do not want to RP with you. And if I need to drop our thread or put it on hold, I'll come talk to you. I do not want you to be anxiety-ridden with worry over why I haven't replied to our thread.

You do not have to match my length! Just give me something to work with, something to move the thread along. I don’t expect you to carry the thread by yourself. And I’m going to assume you don’t expect it of me. I do not mind one-liners or conversation threads (if they help move the thread along, or we're just having fun). If I haven’t given you enough to push the thread forward, please tell me so that I may fix it.

I know most of the RPC here on Tumblr frowns upon it, but If you follow me, you do not have to reblog memes, pictures, artwork, or whatever, from the source. Feel free to use me as a ‘resource’ all you want. All I ask is that, hopefully, you will send in a meme prompt. If not, that's okay, too.

Shipping: I am a ship whore. Sometimes there needs to be build-up, and sometimes we can jump right in and go back and later fill in the past on the timeline. Chemistry is wonderful! But sometimes that chemistry is almost instant, or you and your RP partner just know the muses will work in a ship. So, come to me and we’ll talk about it!

Another thing to add: I do not have a DNI FC list. I do not have issues RPing with dead FCs, (I use one for one of my muses - John Candy). If you do not like RPing with dead FCs, do not interact with those specific muses. I also have no problem RPing with cartoon/animated FCs. One of my muses (Terran) FCs is hand drawn (by a friend long ago). 

I love smut. I love writing smut. So, smut will happen. While this is not a smut blog, some of my muses have a strong sex drive, so smut will happen frequently. I will not write any NSFW subjects with anyone under 21. Most of my muses are hetero, while only a handful bi/pan (and they are picky), so I will do M/F, F/F, and very picky about M/M. Smut will not be under a Read More.

There are certain subjects I won’t RP - Rape being the most important, sexual abuse is another. They might be referenced in a muse’s past, talked about by a muse, or even written about in a drabble. As such, they will be tagged accordingly. However, I will not RP these subjects out. Spousal abuse/domestic violence might be RPed out, but only with extensive talking about it first. However, rape and sexual abuse will never be RPed out. If there’s anything you’d like me to tag, please tell me. I will tag the trigger with tw trigger here, or tw: trigger here.

As pointed out above, this is an adult blog, and many things will be RPed out here. Blood, gore, violence, etc. Once again, if you need something tagged, please tell me.

No Godmoding. I control my muse(s), you control yours. Little things such as having them go through a door when it’s opened for them, getting out of a car - small things are fine. Anything large is off-limits without talking to me about it first.

No anon hate. Anon hate will be immediately reported and blocked, and anon asks will be turned off for a while.  Right now, Anon is on. Any hate, and it will be turned off.

Please make sure I can understand your writing/reply. I don’t want to have to struggle to read your reply. I’m mildly dyslexic myself, so mistakes are completely acceptable.  If English is not your first language, I am far more lenient about spelling/grammar mistakes.

I normally do third-person style RPs.  Only certain muses will be written in the first person.

Please tell me if we decide to push our thread in the direction of angst. when it comes to angst. Angst can be difficult for me to write due to RL issues.

Come to me first, to talk with me at length, before any baby/child/pregnancy-type RP threads or plots.  Tolaas and Terran (Living Vampires in my mythology in general) are sterile and cannot father children. So having SUDDENLY BABY/CHILD/I’M PREGNANT tossed into a thread just cannot happen with my two main muses, so it unnerves me and makes me uncomfortable.  Please talk with me first.

I also do not do A/B/O threads, even with my werewolf/shapeshifter muse.

This blog will be used as a semi-personal, meaning I will post/reblog things that aren’t always RP-related.

I have several mental illnesses - several social/generalized anxiety and bipolar depression with psychosis, both of which I am in therapy and on meds for - which sometimes prevent me from RPing for long periods of time. But I will still try to maintain a presence, even a small one, if I’m not RPing for a while.

Some of my muses will be willing to pop their heads out, other times they won’t.

You are free to unfollow me for ANY REASON.  You do not have to continue following me under some sort of obligation, or anything as such. All I ask is you HOPEFULLY come to me and talk about the problem, and maybe we can work it out.

I don’t always plot. Most times I find it difficult.  I prefer to jump right in.  However, you can come to me and we can try to come up with a specific scenario as long as the ‘plot’ doesn’t end up like something that feels out-and-out scripted.  I prefer to let our muses do what they do, rather than try to point by point what they have to do.

A Short Guide to Tumblr Culture

If you've set up your account already, for example following this guide, it's also good to know how people use Tumblr.

tags - tagging is great to get your post seen and also great to keep some kind of order in your reblogs, but many people use tags to add an usually appreciative commentary, so the tag section can get... chatty. The commentary is usually meant for your followers and the OP.

do NOT censor words, especially not in tags. NEVER do anything like "#tw sp*ders" in tags - you'll effectively reach people who try to avoid and block this trigger. Name things properly. And also remember to disable iOS app censorship in your settings in browser if you're on iOS.

usually you don't add any captions to reblogs until you have something relevant to add or want to discuss as reblogging often results in a conversation. Starting a conversation on any creative post like fic or art is not very polite.

the comment option is barely used. Many people won't even respond to a comment if the original post was on their side blog (side blogs can't comment), and comments are generally for the OP as no one really checks the comments on someone else's post. You can definitely comment under artworks though! The writer/artist will appreciate every nice word!

you can follow reblog dominated blogs if your taste in posts/art/fandoms match and reblog from them. You'll have a daily dose of nice stuff on a silver platter and no one will really mind.

time doesn't exist on Tumblr. Unearth and reblog that fossiled post if you like it! Others might appreciate your archeological discovery.

you'll generally see plenty of old posts/reblog convos making rounds - heritage posts are a thing! (ex. high geologist thread) They're old, have a load of notes and get back on your dash periodically.

spam liking/reblogging is not a thing. Spam people with appreciation if you binge the blog! Waking up to 99+ notifs because someone loved every single post I made in last 3 years is awesome. If someone doesn't like it, they just state it in their bio or something but I suspect those are migrants from other platforms.

if you're still worried, there's a thing called queue. You can set your posts/reblogs to get auto posted at an interval when you add them to queue in the reblog screen. The interval is yours to decide.

you might see a destiel meme with "I love you" and a reply that summarises some recent real world news. That's how we pass important information around.

if you see a shortened post "Do you like the color of the sky", don't extend it. If it's the original post, it's long. To the point you'll keep scrolling for 84 years and we're traumatised already. And if it's not, it's a meme that references our collective trauma so not aimed at you anyway.

Tumblr is the source of the fandom of Goncharov, the greatest mafia movie ever made. Shenanigans and running jokes like that might happen, if they annoy you, block the tags/words! If you find them delightful, jump into it!

if you post a thing that's not SFW, use community labels. In case of fics, people use Read More option too and often tag it as smut. This tradition is truly worth continuing.

if you're wondering if you can post stuff that isn't very SFW is allowed on Tumblr, text posts are usually fine. Images, despite the rules having gotten a bit less strict, might be flagged more or less randomly and it takes ages to appeal it and no one really knows the rules, probably not even Tumblr staff because all the information is... vague. But appeal it. Who knows.

about Read More option - aside from covering smut, it's often used as means to hide a part of the post that might be upsetting or triggering. It's good manners to make sure that the reader is informed what they're about to encounter and put that Read More in the post.

report spam tagging. It's in your interest not to have your tag feed littered with spam. Tumblr culture is being very passionate about tags remaining relevant.

report and block sexygirlbots. Letting them follow you or spam tags will only result in a bot siege and nothing else since we don't have public stats here.

also XKit (currently XKit Rewritten) is a very popular browser plug-in that adds even more useful features like shuffling your queue or customised timestamps. Scripts that alter the layout are also popular since Tumblr is generally a mess, we just learnt to reshape the interface.

Tumblr is still relatively anonymous. People don't put their selfie, location and name in their profile... bots on the other hand do. And we block bots on sight.

speaking of anonymity, the checkmarks you see sometimes mean nothing. They're a meme. There are no "verified" Tumblrs but you might actually see Neil Gaiman here.

last but not least, if you're confused about reblogging vs reposting, reposting is a no-no. Do not download someone's work to post it as an original post. Reblogging is one of the basic Tumblr feature and is good. It doesn't take anything from the OP, the reblog links to their blog and the OP gets all the notes on the post and its reblogs. The reblogger gets those notes too, but only for their own reblog. So basically, two people get notes for the reblog. That's very nice.

As someone visiting the UK what can I expect to avoid doing?

Oh Anon, this is too huge a question and will heavily depend on where you're from and what you find 'normal'- Aka: how, exactly, the UK will be different from your rules of politeness. Also depends on which part of the UK you're going to!

I assume you're asking in terms of how to not offended people, rather than common mistakes for a traveller looking for a good experience, but have a medly of both general ones:

- Look left when crossing roads. Most of the world drive on the right and so look right when crossing, but that will get you run over here

- Don't queue jump. A stereotype that's really true, patiently wait your turn in attractions, food places, toilets, etc. Will piss everyone off if you push in

- Don't feel as though you have to tip in restaurants. It's very nice if you do, but it's not expected

- Don't expect the same type of customer service or stranger interaction than you're used to. People in the UK might be too much, or too cold, than what you're used to. In Europe we're more standoffish and enjoy more personal space, and compared to US customer service ours is downright rude. Compared to Eastern Europe, service might be considered 'friendlier'. We usually don't appreciate overt, false interactions and find it polite to leave customers alone more than continue to check in, but still do maybe more than some like

- Be a decent person. Without context of where you're from I can't say much more specifically but in general just be open minded. Don't mock people for how they sound, don't overtly and loudly compare the benefits of your home to the UK or slate the UK whilst you're in public, and go into things with an open mind

If you don't like the food, if you don't like the service, if you don't like the ways people behave- keep it to yourself in public and try to view it as an experience that's different from what you know. There are different expectations of normality and politeness everywhere you go, and just because something is different from your normal doesn't make it wrong or lesser- just different

First of all: I am here to have a good time. My portrayal of Stephen is going to be of more or less casual nature, but that doesn't mean that I don't intend to portray him seriously. My knowledge, though, is limited; This means his portrayal won't be highly in-depth and might be missing things here and there. I am also absolutely not familiar with the comics, so zero knowledge in that regard, and still need to rewatch most movies (have rewatched Dr. Strange 1 & 2 so far, still missing all the other movies where he appears - I have seen those in the past but it is been a long while). If you cannot handle my lack of said knowledge, this blog might not be for you. Otherwise: I'm looking forward to interact with you!

Some basic RP rules: No god-modding (some things are allowed if it makes sense in the context of the RP: My muse following yours into a room etc. That being said, Strange is a sorcerer and he can do some things that might be considered 'god-modding' in a loose sense (e.g. make your muse change location with him in an instant). Be prepared for that to happen.), the mun is absolutely not the muse (means when muse says / does / acts a certain way it does not mean that the mun condones it and/or would act the same), muses can also be wrong (yes, my Stephen might be rude, or have wrong/no knowledge, or misunderstand your muse, and your muse is allowed to do the same as well!), and please communicate with me if there are any issues at hand (I promise I won't bite, but I am highly allergic to talking-behind-my-back kind of stuff. I am almost 34 years old, I can handle communication).

Some blog-specifications: This blog is mutuals-only (non-mutuals are allowed to send in asks about headcanons / muse-development etc), therefore highly-selective, and I might not always reply to threads in the same order they come in; That means I will reply to some threads faster than to others, simply because my excitement fluctuates. That does not mean I don't like interacting with you, I promise. Regarding replying-speed: I am usually quite fast and reply within a few days or a week. In rare cases it can be multiple weeks or a month. You are allowed to ask me about a reply in case I haven't answered in 2 weeks or such, but please don't pester me about them. OC's need to be fleshed-out and provide information for me to find easily. I will scroll through blogs that follow me and check whether our writing-styles match and judge whether I could see us interacting; If I don't, I won't follow back. If I follow you back, I want to write with you - the same goes for if I follow you first! I prefer to interact with non-animated FCs (exceptions are being made for Marvel-comic-muses), and I personally love to include simple icons into my replies. However, I will also adapt and sometimes not use icons - you are very welcome to decide upon whether you want to use some or not. F/M ships have to develop over time, the chemistry has to be perfect, and will, most likely, rarely happen - so don't expect your muse to be shipped with mine unless the chemistry works. I'm sorry about that, but this is for my personal comfort. It's nothing against your muse in any shape or form. Some favorite ships of mine: IronStrange and KhanStrange (yes, I like some odd ships and no, I don't care if you approve of it or not), but if the chemistry works, any ship will turn into my favorite, honestly. I do not ship Pal.mer.Str.ange. There's a reason it never worked out and I personally will never see Stephen and Christine ending up with each other in any Universe. Regarding her: My Stephen has separated himself successfully from her and does not run after her anymore, doesn't matter much at which point of his timeline an RP is going to happen (there's exceptions, of course - the closer to the 'beginning' of Dr. Strange's origins, the more likely he is to still have feelings for her).

Since we have a lot of holiday-centric things happening this time of year, I thought for our task, we'd do something a little different! Lindsey actually came up with this idea last year, so we're implementing it now. Ian's birthday attire was mostly leather. Tight, tight leather, with a black corset under the slightly cut off jacket. Ben thought this was a great idea, knowing how much Ian loved the more out-there kind of entertainment, a simple gathering around candles and a birthday cake seemed to be doing them an injustice.

This particular club was - let's just say an equal opportunities stripping experience, men and woman and both and neither where on those podiums dancing up a storm, and Ian couldn't quite believe their eyes for a moment when they realised that this birthday treat had been totally well thought out.

"Woooooow." They smirked, deep red lips and darkly painted eyes made them feel rockstar enough to be there as they strutted over to the boy that immediately caught their eye, looking back at the gang and making the rock sign with their hand and sticking out their tongue with a smile.

Nodding along with the music for a while, letting their body move a little with the music too, because that was just in their nature, you leaned down, dangling yourself with one hand from the pole, as you let the other hand brush through their hair just barely, which made Ian beam a smile "So I can't touch you, but you can touch me? Hardly fair." they called out over the music with a chuckle.

"I think I'll bend that rule for you, gorgeous." You bite your bottom lip in that sexy boyband-from-the-90s kinda way and jump down from the podium and roll your hips close to Ian's before placing both your hands on their shoulders and pushing them towards a sofa until the back of their knees hit it and they sit unexpectedly.

"What's your name?" Ian asked, and you laughed softly "You don't need to know my name.. To enjoy some good music and a dance." You reply as you look over at the DJ and gesture for them to put the on your song for the night.

"I guess that really depends on what you call good music." Ian laughed as a Britney Spears song started, and they where being pinned to their chair as you strip off the mesh shirt you were barely wearing as it was. Straddling their lap and rolling your hips again, this time it was right against their body, and despite their bold outfit and government tech expert rockstar realness, they blushed, and let out a nervous little giggle.

Moving a carefully placed knee between their legs and grinding down against their thigh as you lean in enough to smell their incredible perfume, you purr into their ear as they dare to rest their hands on your thighs as they body roll to the music.

Letting their head fall to the back of the chair, Ian let out a laugh, how their body was reacting was making them shift in their seat a little under those dance moves.

1. Romantic Devil - Coldin

Semantic Error may have a very small OST list but it's a pretty darn good one that does its job well. This song caught my ear immediately when I was watching Semantic Error and I've never looked back since. I listen to this song whenever I'm out and about and want to feel a little bit of added confidence by channeling my inner Jae Young.

2. Rock & Star - Fourth Nattawat

I love pretty much all of the MSP OST tracklist but Rock & Star just might be my favourite (by a very small margin though, so many of the songs and covers are amazing, Just Being Friendly could honestly be here, as could Let Me Tell You and ฟัง). It honestly makes me so happy whenever I listen to it, 💯 points and no complaints.

3. Just Friends - Nanon

I won't lie, normally when someone picks up a guitar in a bl it's my queue to press the skip button until they've put it down again because I am completely willing to potentially miss a little bit of plot in order to avoid even a millisecond of second hand embarrassment. Just Friends was the first time my hand paused over the fast forward button and I'm so glad it did, I love this song.

4. What Don't You Stay - Jeff Satur

I have actually never watched KinnPorsche (shock horror gasp) and I don't currently intend to (screams of horror) because I know my own tastes pretty well at this point and I don't think they align. Maybe one day though, who knows. That being said, I have seen interview clips and have enjoyed Jeff and Barcode as a very chaotic friendship/mentor and I am completely willing to admit Jeff has a beautiful voice that I can listen to for hours.

5. Night Flower - Ahn Ye Eun

Okay, I'm cheating a little because this is from a webtoon and not a TV show BUT given part of the point of this tag is to celebrate Non-western artists and music, I think it can be given a pass. Ahn Ye Eun is one of my favourite artists. Full. Stop. I absolutely adore her and her voice and I got so excited when I found out she's writing songs for BL webtoons now, I just really hope we get to hear her in an OST for a (historical) K-QL soon because that would be A TREAT.

Her style is Trad-Fusion and mixes techniques and styles from traditional Korean music with more modern pop elements and I fell in love with it the first time I heard it (and maybe you will too, I definitely recommend checking out her other works if you can).

Keep it focused to worldbuilding or character asks please! This is actually pretty open to interpretation, so don't be scared to ask things! You can ask questions about the places the characters have visited, stuff about their life, their personalities, or the world around them.

The British Basics™

There are certain unspoken rules that are expected of the general public in the UK. Many of these rules are deemed as stereotypical—and you'll see more of them in our later blogs—but they make up an important part of our cultural identity. Just as there may be certain well known do’s and don’ts in the community you are from, Britain (and the University of Warwick, in turn), have them too. You'll see that these examples are a mix of manners and etiquette, though after all the talk from the post above, I'm sure you'll be sick of being polite soon enough.

So, here’s a lovely little list of some British basics in politeness:

Saying please and thank you: Using the words ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ are considered a universal expectation of all people here, especially when you are interacting with someone who is providing you a service; even though they are obligated to serve you, anyone taking on the role of a ‘servicer’ still has the right to being treated politely and with respect (page 36-37). Here are a few common examples: * Bus-drivers: Saying thank you to the bus driver as you get off the bus is a common and polite thing to do. You might hear some passengers call out 'cheers drive!' depending on which region of Britain you're in at the time, but it's best not to replicate this. People may think of your repetition (especially if you try to put on a British accent) as mockery, and you might be faced with some anger or confusion! * Ordering food/drink: it is polite and customary to start your order with “Please could I have…” or “May I have […], please?” and to thank the server once your food/drink is delivered. Even though it's their job, it's always nice to treat others with kindness, especially since they're also serving plenty of other people other than you! Minding your Ps and Qs here can go a long way. * People who open doors for you: These people are doing a service for you even though they’re not really obligated! And if you are in the position of being a door-opener, it’s always nice to be thanked for doing something for others, so try and do the same for those who do it for you! Just try not to spend all your time opening doors for people, most of all if you're in a rush to get to class yourself! Opening the door for the person behind you is polite enough, and the politeness carries over.

Queuing: Queuing is the British’s most obvious example of informal social order (page 1180). It’s how we keep our public spaces organised and to make sure everyone gets their turn when shopping, waiting for the bus, lining up for an appointment, waiting to enter a classroom, and many more scenarios! As such, the “rules of the waiting line” and waiting your turn is an honoured system that lots of British people take quite seriously. Line jumping or queue hopping (ignoring the queue and walking to the front or a part of the queue that is already established) is frowned upon by the British population, so try not to do it if you can (page 1182)!  If you're saving a spot for your friend, that's different (just so long as you aren't cutting into the line to THEN save a spot for your friend in the queue) as you are still holding a space in the queue and maintaining the rules of waiting your turn, so don't worry too much. But if you're queueing for food in the Library Café, or lining up to pay for your lunch at Rootes, be prepared to be standing there a WHILE...

Oversharing: “How are you?” is a question that is typically used as a greeting (page 218) rather than a genuine check-in on someone’s well being. When asked “how are you?” or “you alright?” by someone, it’s appropriate to reply with something along the lines of  “I’m good, thank you” or “I’m okay, how are you?” in order to continue the conversation. In British culture, it's customary not to share too much of your personal life with people you do not know well; talks about personal state (especially negative personal state) are reserved for friends, family, or people you consider close. When you get to know people a bit better, you can start being a little more honest about how you actually feel. When you’re conversing with strangers, though, (to save you from weird looks) avoid complaining about your landlord, your course, your lecturers, your classmates… you get the gist. Don't fret, though! This post gives you some helpful tips on conversation starts, if you're stuck.

Saying sorry: Sorry that I didn’t mention this earlier! British people are stereotypically known for saying sorry for everything, but the word ‘sorry’ can mean much more than just an apology! In this post, we expand on the word ‘sorry’ and how it is used in many ways in British culture. It’s a little confusing at first, but with practice, you’ll get the hang of it. 

Punctuality: Generally, it is considered polite and respectful to arrive at an event on time (and in most cases, a few minutes early). Some people even hold the belief that ‘if you’re on time, you’re late!’. British people value their time and don’t like having to wait, and this carries over to lectures, seminars, meetings and other social events. In this post, we talk a bit more on what is expected of you at university if you’re late to an event, or know you won’t be able to attend it.

It’s a good idea to keep these in mind during your study time at Warwick, otherwise you may get some angry glares or disapproving looks! There isn’t anything ‘wrong’ with the way in which you know how to be polite and follow etiquette, it just may be the case that cultural values and norms here in Britain differ from the ones you may be accustomed to. If all else fails and you are still unsure about what to do on campus, asking friends, other students or staff to clarify for you is totally okay and usually helps to clear up any confusion.
