katsuki had the kitchen to himself. well, he might have threatened the rest of the class about disturbing him in the middle of cooking, but that was also why he had one earphone out. although engrossed in heavy rock and the prep work he was doing for later ⸺ it's vegetables at the moment ⸺ the blond was listening intently for footsteps, prepared to snap at them for trying to come in while he was busy.

it just so happens the next person entering the kitchen was denki.

frustrations die on the tip of his tongue as he huffs, turning back to the cutting board and working through it ╱ he is, albeit, slower now. his gaze shifts between the carrot he's cutting and the other blond now in his presence. there's a slight narrow of his eyes when denki shifts in close.

katsuki tenses instinctively at the arms loosely wrapping around him, halting his processes as he stares at his boyfriend with a brow raised. ( he damn near wants to poke some fun about him for it ⸺ after all, needy much ? ) it was one thing to enter his space without question, another to wrap his arms around him wordlessly, and another thing entirely on top of that to ⸺

well, it catches him off-guard.

after a few beats of silence, katsuki huffs and returns his attention to his methodical cutting and dicing, reignited with fervour. he makes no effort to push denki away.
