                     CONTEMPLATIVE SMILE, plump lips stretched unusually long against normally grim expression. harrowed look eased as xayah wandered a few steps about the pool, examining silken waters lap against the edges where vegetation grew greedily seeking respite. the ECHOED rush of the waterfall that fed it was a song beat against the rocks that bordered the hidden ravine, and constant spray of mist to exposed skin felt a refresh against the midday sun. not normally one to appreciate the feeling of wetness, but she would prefer a dip in the swirling waters than continuing to be bathed in heat of summer.

             flowers danced, critters chirped, birds delighted in tune. it was astoundingly g o r g e o u s in a way that was near-sickening to the rebel. preference for night's drapery, the coolness of dusk, she actually felt a dull ache in the forefront of her skull from the brightness of the area. it was exactly rakan, however, and his words didn't surprise her in the slightest. despite the overly boisterous hues of golden, there was a curiosity in what the evening would bring. the peace of the place was worth the wait, and the balance of night and day could make it a chance to recluse... if only temporarily.

   too much to do, so much left. yet rakan had been urging - near begging - for her to take pause if only for a breath or two for countless days. the idea, in that moment, did seem a welcome one. so she took to a path of shade and seated herself, talons tucked beneath. so close to the earth, so close to the m a g i c... how she could feel the energy of it curl over her form, embracing her. comfort and longing and reminding her why she did what she did. xayah's smile remained, and hands even shifted to pull hood down, a rare moment of open display. feathers were carded through by her fingers, loosening the braid and even giving a hum.

                "...yeah, it is. we could stay a night or two if you like." melodic tone that wasn't normally carried; usually so brusque and darkened. this place was everything she yearned for. perhaps it would strengthen tired resolve and invigorate the struggle of continued hope in a rage of chaos.

     attention grazed the area again before landing on him. just as LOVELY, just as warm. she wanted to watch him dance across the area, take a swim, admire. perhaps, if only for a brief stint of time, she could indulge in selfish need. in him. rakan was her fight, was her heart, and everything about why she did what she did. for a night, for two... she could have succeeded. with him.

it's shen x zed, adding the disclaimer i absolutely do not see their relationship as familial at all; childhood best friends, certainly, but not adoptive brothers (i could write an essay about how i don't think that's what it comes across even in the comic and how they were not really raised as siblings despite what kusho represents to both of them but that's!! not what i should be talking about so i'll leave it here). of course, i'm absolutely still wiling to write it as a purely platonic relationship.

honestly other than that i'm always always open to exploring things rp can result in unexpected but really fun pairings so!! it's not at all the only thing i'd be willing to write.

HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE?

i don't really have a problem with big age gaps as long as the two characters are adults and met as adults.

hmmm it really depends on the content? honestly i just prefer to be on the safe side and tag things as nsfw even when it's mostly suggestive?

hmmmmm lesseee..... i'm? honestly? not sure? zed is difficult. i think karma could have interesting potential. i know syndra is a fan favorite, and i can kinda see it even if, well, it's not my favorite (i think they deserve to be frens instead tbh....). funny that i listed two women when i've spent days arguing for 'zed big gay' but ajfaisudfhasiuf i really don't actually have other ships so i'm just. trying to give an answer here i guess

not necessarily, although openly suggesting you're interested in shipping is actually nice for me because even when i can see it i'm often like oh i don't wanna come across as pushing for that even if it makes sense for how this interaction is going so like. asking is not necessary, it can happen naturally, but i am 100% fine with someone asking as long as they're also fine with the possibility i'll say no, and talking about it actually makes me far less anxious

Hmm... I'm kinda shy in writing nsfw in general (despite Eve's character), so I generally try to read more things pretty early on. Generally once things begin getting pretty hands on and clothes are often discarded are when I call them nsfw.

I would say I likely am. While I'll often write one off things in asks/etc I don't usually plot/reach out that often when it comes to shipping? I wouldn't say that I'm picky, per say -- or I hope I'm not too bad with it dsdhfdksjf.

Hmmm, in base/other general verses? Ahri definitely. I like shipping with Kai'sa in KDA/Music verse, but other than that I find Eve can generally be a difficult person to actually ship with. More often than not she doesn't care sadly, and you have to pique her interest for her to not simply m*rder you

Kind of? Usually it just happens because we're already just talking about the ship in general. I can be open to the idea, but I might find it difficult at times to match the energy? Again Eve can be hard to develop in that angle.

I am looking back to the first question -- BUT other than them I do really enjoy Xayah/Rakan, Jinx/Lux, any of the KDA ships (sans Seraphine she's like.. a figurative daughter), and dash has made me fond to a lot of ships as well (looking at you qiqidray and kat/darius).

HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE?  It's hard to answer, since we got plenty of ageless people in Runetera, and Sett being half-vastaya, we actually dont know his lifespan. I would say as long as they are mentally compatible, it's all good.

HOW FAR DO STEAMY MOMENTS HAVE TO GO BEFORE THEY ARE CONSIDERED NSFW?  Honestly, the moment the scene becomes clearly erotic. Even kissing could be described in an erotic way, and thats honestly it.

ARE YOU SELECTIVE WHEN SHIPPING? Kinda? Sett is a difficult man with a strong personality and a very vulnerable interior. He will flirt, he will date, he will form relationships, but to really let someone in...Much more difficult, he's been hurt a lot. I consider shipping as true connection, not just fun times.

WHO ARE OTHER CHARACTERS YOU SHIP YOUR CHARACTER WITH?  I once, before i deleted the blog, had a very big ship with a Xayah...she was not with Rakan, that one, and Sett and her developed a lot and eventually fell in love. It was...really sweet. But then i left, and in my absense, so did that Xayah-mun so... But i always remember it fondly. And then, i also had a very sweet ship with @nameaprice's Diana uvu That was sweet as honey, i loved them so much and still doooo...They met again on discord, im just :eyes: over them right now!

do you ever think about how the art in xayah's story versus rakan's story ( the same story but from each of their perspectives ) is representative of them and their views on the world? i'm going to snag just the art that shows similar moments between their stories but just... xayah's perspetive is left, rakan's is right.

look... at how much more vibrant the art from rakan's perspective are ( like even the second row... which is a death scene is much brighter than xayah's ). how the characters are more... blurred and soft looking, a little less detailed in rakan's. a sign of his more fantastical mind, his lack of focus versus xayah's more detail oriented and somber view on the world. in xayah's art, you still see a bit of the horrors of their fights in the images. in rakan's, you see the beauty of nature and the support of their people. in xayah's, she sees herself as separate from the others, off to the side... she sees rakan as being a bit mindless while she's telling him what they're doing... rakan sees her as there and present with their people, as lecturing him when he's doing nothing more than admiring... xayah's art is a bit harsher of lines, smaller swirls and more precision while rakan's is lots of long and smooth strokes, too. like i just. the contrast in their art is so telling of them as characters - their perspectives and thoughts.
