Torunn could feel the burning gaze of each person as she walked through the village. A village that she had only seen in movies and thought were gone thanks to Ultron, until now. She wasn't even entirely sure how she ended up in the at the end of the skirts of this small village, especially since she had still been in Ultron City this morning.

She could tell that this village clearly did not get a lot of visitors by the way all the people keep staring at her. The young asgardian princess knew she had to find someone to help her, so she could return home. Granted Torunn could easily fly home, but she didn't want to draw attention to herself and something was telling her that it also would not be an option.

The further Torunn walked and takes everything in, the more she feared that she wasn't going to be able to find someone to help her. Until she spots a women who she felt seemed approachable and strangely comforting. Torunn cautiously walks up to her and taps the raven haired woman on the shoulder to get her attention.

"Hi, pardon me. But I was hoping you could help me? For I'm lost and not sure where I am..."

𝐒𝐈𝐅'𝐒 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐔𝐌𝐀

Being orphaned as a baby. Granted, she was later adopted by Heimdall's family, with him becoming her adoptive big brother, but it's the fact she didn't get to know her biological parents which hurts.

Because of that, Sif struggles to find her sense of purpose, self and belonging in the world. Heimdall is blessed with sensory capabilities letting him see nearly all things in the Nine Realms, becoming the Gatekeeper of Asgard, but what can Sif do?

Hence, why she turns towards her interests in the Valkyries, wanting to become a female warrior for Asgard and make her mark in the world. By learning to fight and become a warrior, Sif feels like she can be in control and has a purpose. She wants to be brave, strong, and protect/fight for those who cannot fight for themselves. She also wants to honor her deceased parents.

However, the road to proving herself as capable warrior despite being female is not an easy task. It is difficult. Especially when, after opening up to Loki one drunken night, she wakes up to find he has cut off her hair as a prank, only adding salt to the wound. She feels used and abused and beyond hurt, becoming furious. He had not only insulted her as a warrior, but as a female. No one in Asgard would take her seriously now. From that point on, Sif has lost all trust in Loki and remains cautious over him.

Lorelei enthralling Sif's former lover, Haldor. So enchanted, he forsook his family, friends, and the woman he loved. This led to a deep-seated hatred between Sif and Lorelei and an unlucky battle with love for Sif. Add Thor falling in love with Jane to that list, and her incident with Loki...and ouch.

The loss of Queen Frigga. Not only was she her Queen, but like a mother figure to Sif who grew up raised alongside Thor, Loki and the Warrior Three's. Add Odin to the list too.

Asgard's Destruction...nuff said. She lost her home and everything she knew one right after the other...but it isn't done yet.

Thanos attacking the Statesman and killing half of the passengers, Heimdall, Loki and almost Thor....

Being snapped/blipped out of existence for five years, only to return back and worry if Thor and her people are still alive or killed by Thanos and then to learn how to process all the grief she went through before getting snapped as she tries to acclimate to life in New Asgard without her family and friends....

I'll cover that last one in detail some other time, but yeah, Sif has a lot to go through when Ragnarok hits. And it isn't easy for her.

Tolaas gave her the absolutely strangest look. He had no idea why in the hell she was ignoring what was actually happening, and focusing solely on him. "Sif!" he called again, as he kept running after the ShadowDemon. "Pick up my damned katana an' help me!!" he shouted.

As the 'Demon leaped up to a home, skittering up the wall and to the roof, leapng from one to the next, Tolaas leaped up onto a home, grabbing the ledge and pulling himself up. They were no longer on the ground again, so Tolaas believed it was now safe to use his sawed-off again.

He pulled it from the holster on his back, and immediately readied it at the ShadowDemon. He pulled the trigger, and took his shot. It caught the 'Demon in the legs, blowing off two of them, knocking the ShadowDemon off the roof.

Tolaas leaped to the other building and jumped from the roof to the ground, finding the little beating, struggling to run away. He smirked down at the thing while it pulled itself along the ground. It hissed and growled at him, chittering in between.

He reached into is pocket, removed a cigarillo, lit it with his Zippo, and inhaled deeply. He exhaled slowly and pointed the barrel of the sawed-off down at the little beastie as he stepped on it with his boot to stop it from scurrying away.

Blam! He blew its head off. The thing immediately began to sizzle and dissolve, tendrils and clouds of black 'smoke' coming from it until it seemed to melt into the ground, disappearing completely, not a trace of it anywhere.

The ShadowPortal opened in the sky, about 15 feet above the ground. Once again, the damned ShadowPortal had decided to glitch and drop him somewhere. Tolaas was dropped through it, and his eyes widened. "Oh, shhhhhhit! This is gonna fuckin' hurt..." he sighed in resignation.

He let his sawed-off drop to the ground, and then covered his face with his arms, preparing to hit the ground. He hadn't seen where his sawed-off had landed. Which was unfortunate, because he'd landed on it, square beneath his crotch, then he crashed to the ground.

Tolaas let out a long, slow agonizing groan. He rolled over, hands holding his crotch, and moaned. "It fuckin' figures," he groaned quietly. In a few minutes, the pain had subsided, and slowly and wobbly, Tolaas got to his feet.

Another soft groan, a sigh. He bent down, picked up his sawed-off, and began to look for his Stetson. He turned in a circle, eyes scanning, and found it a few feet away lying on the ground, next to a flower bed.

Picking it up and brushing it off, he made sure it was okay. He saw no bends or breaks in the stiff fabric and placed it on his head. Finally, he had a chance to look at his surroundings.

He was in the countryside of... somewhere. In the near distance, he saw a village. A village that seemed to be swarming with people. The closer he got, the more he realized these people swarming around looked liked tourists, not villagers. He quickly put his sawed-off back onto his back, not wanting to scare all of these people.

Tolaas shook his head, he wasn't actually interested in all of these people smiling around. This is where the ShadowPortal had spit him out. Which meant the ShadowDemon was here, too. Unless the ShadowPortal had glitched worse, and threw Tolaas in a completely different place.

Which is what seemed to have happened, because Tolaas connection the the 'Demon wasn't working right now. He muttered and looked around. Suddenly, the bells went off, and he felt himself being pulled in a specific direction.

Ducking behind one of the village homes, he once again removed his sawed-off. He hoped that people didn't look too carefully at him. He held the sawed-off down to his side, and moved back through the crowd, letting his connection guide him.

There, in the distance, on the roof of one of the village houses, sat the ShadowDemon. It was a rather ugly little bastard. About the size of a large dog, looking like a cross between a cat and a spider, blacker than pitch and oily-looking, with entirely too many legs. That's all it seemed to be doing, too - sitting there.

Ah, but Tolaas new better. It was observing, calculating. It was here to cause chaos and was trying to figure out how to go about doing it. All ShadowDemons were smart (when they became adults), but the bad ones, the ones who wandered worlds and alternate universes to cause trouble, chaos, even death... they were the ones to watch out for.

He didn't want to try to shoot it from down here, in the crowd of people, so he looked around. He slowly moved toward a small village home around the corner and behind another one.

He climbed up on the home, trying to be as stealthy as he could be. He climbed onto the roof and knelt down. It still sat there, a couple of houses away. Thankfully it wasn't looking his direction at the moment, and he hoped it stayed that way.

Carefully, he took aim and... - suddenly the damned thing spotted him and let out a screech. "Fuck," Tolaas hissed. He pulled the trigger on the sawed off, and missed. ""Shit!" he exclaimed loudly.

But the reason he'd missed was not because the thing ran away. No, in fact, it had leapt at him. Tolaa's eyes went wide, and he grabbed his sawed-off with both hands and held it up as a barrier. The 'think 'Demon landed on Tolaas and knocked him onto his back. It hissed and growled, snarling and spitting angrily. "Huuunteeerrrr!" the word came out of the little beastie in a wheezing, hissing whisper. And with hate.

Tolaas wrestled with the 'Demon and rolled around, falling from the roof and crashing to the ground. The 'Demon jumped off of him and went scuttling away, trying to lose itself in the crowd. But Tolaas was able to follow it quite easily, due to people screaming and moving out of the way.

He chased after it, angry at himself for letting it go and now it would be his fault if it hurt anybody. "Goddammit," he spat out.

Suddenly he saw a woman who looked like a warrior. He'd never met her before, but he was sure that was Lady Sif. He'd definitely heard if her.

"Sif!" he called out, quickly removing his katana from its sheath and tossing it at her. "Help me!" he yelled and he continued chasing after the 'Demon, not wanting to risk using his gun in midst of a crowd.

The question causes the doctor to pause and turn toward Sif, her brown eyes apprehensive, "My impact?" Jane was not sure what she could mean. Was this about the Aether? The fact she had some sort of all-powerful, reality-altering magic coursing through her veins bringing the wrong attention to Asgard? She was starting to understand what that meant after Odin showed her the book in Asgard's rather impressive library, but only just...

Or did Sif mean something else? Did she disapprove of a mere human in her realm as much as Odin had? Jane straightened her petite frame and braced herself for whatever criticism the goddess intended to hurl her way. She was facing some sort of imminent cosmic death, a little yelling was not going to cause her to back down. Not even if everyone here was twice her size and could easily break her in half.

Sif considers Sigyn a close best friend and almost like a sister. There is a mutual understanding between the both of them. They talk to each other about their respective crushes on the princes of Asgard and also train together. Sif helps teach Sigyn some basic combat moves and how to better defend herself.

Who are you in this haunted house story?

Lara got: The Father

You’ve made mistakes. You see them play out on an endless and nauseating loop whenever you close your eyes. If you could just interfere! Somehow pass on what knowledge you now possess to the person you were then. Of course, now you know, you know, YOU KNOW. But what’s done is done, leaving you behind, holding the shards of what you broke in your bleeding and calloused hands. They look at you differently now, so you smile bigger and hope it reaches your eyes. It’s okay though, because you’re going to make it better, you have to. And god knows you can’t be wrong again, you simply won’t allow it, can’t even entertain the idea. When doubt creeps in, you’ll stamp it down. When things begin to go wrong, you’ll turn a blind eye. There isn’t room inside of you to hold any more wrong.

Sif got: The Mother

You pour everything you have left into those you love. Desperately, frantically you try to fix what is broken, but the cracks spread faster than you can mend. If only you can hold everyone together, then things might just be okay! However, you only have two hands and all anyone seems to do is pull away. Everyone is different now, even you, and pretending not to see it isn’t making anything better. You see the signs of things going wrong, of what is but should not be, and you try to warn them. You love with every fiber of your being, but try as you might, you cannot make them understand. They don’t listen, no one ever listens.

One minute Torunn had been out in the main square of New Asgard shopping with her friends and the next the town was under attack. Since she did not have any armour on, it meant that the asgardian princess had to rely only on her sword and powers to protect herself and her friends.

She managed to escape the surprise attack on her home, but she did not go unscaved. Torunn is now covered in bloody cuts, bruises and she's pretty certain that she has a broken rib or two. After making sure that her friends and the other asgardians that are around are okay. Torunn decides that she needs to find her mama to make sure that she is okay and to let her know that she is still alive and wasn't taken by the attackers.

Thankfully, Torunn doesn't have to go looking for Sif, as she comes to her and hugs her. Which causes the blonde princess to let out a sharp breath of pain, only when her mother breaks the hug to examine her, does Torunn finally speak up.

"I'm okay mama...I'll heal."

Recovering from Trauma

You are still so strong.....Strong. Torunn hated that word now, for she was tired of always wearing a mask and pretending she is okay. In order to be powerful and the goddess that people need her and expect her to be. The princess was becoming more and more of the situation she was stuck in. "What if I don't want to be strong anymore, mama? Just for five minutes at least..."

When Thanos attacks New York City, Sif helps the remaining Avengers to stop him. However, from Bruce Banner, she learns about the attack on the Statesman, the Destruction of Asgard, and the losses of the Warriors Three, Heimdall and Loki. Fearing the same fate has befallen Thor, Sif goes in search of him and to help the Avengers stop Thanos at all costs.

She is eventually reunited with Thor in Wakanda briefly, but Thanos wins, and Sif is one of the casualities in the Blip. 

Five years later, she returns back and has been trying to learn to adapt to life in New Asgard while grieving with her losses. She decides to help train anyone who wishes to learn combat. This brings her into the path of Jane Foster again who becomes the Mighty Thor, and along with Valkyrie, the three women work to protect New Asgard and their people.
