Good news: apparently volume 1 of the official English Liu Yao release is already up for preorder
Bad news: had to pay thirty whole dollars ๐
#I recognize that's not THAT crazy an amount for a fancy new first edition with an illustrated jacket and whatnot#small indie publishers gotta make their money somehow. that's the world#put also. ๐ฌ#if all four planned volumes cost that much. it'll be $120 for the whole series#and I'd also like to read the other two priest series rosmei licensed#but that would be 15 volumes between them#$450 over the next few years for danmei...#with the sevenseas TLs I've been buying ebooks (cheaper) and then buying used or discounted print copies later if I want them enough#but rosmei isn't doing ebooks#and since this is a small international publisher. I suspect there might be fewer volumes printed total#certainly fewer in the US since the publisher is in Singapore#meaning they'll be less likely to show up for cheap on abebooks and such in the future#through gritted teeth: I am making an active choice to financially support the works of an author I like#TS official release. your hypothetical pipe dream siren song...#sigh#invasion of the frogs
