I saw a post saying that Boromir looked too scruffy in FotR for a Captain of Gondor, and I tried to move on, but I’m hyperfixating. Has anyone ever solo backpacked? I have. By the end, not only did I look like shit, but by day two I was talking to myself. On another occasion I did fourteen days’ backcountry as the lone woman in a group of twelve men, no showers, no deodorant, and brother, by the end of that we were all EXTREMELY feral. You think we looked like heirs to the throne of anywhere? We were thirteen wolverines in ripstop.
My boy Boromir? Spent FOUR MONTHS in the wilderness! Alone! No roads! High floods! His horse died! I’m amazed he showed up to Imladris wearing clothes, let alone with a decent haircut. I’m fully convinced that he left Gondor looking like Richard Sharpe being presented to the Prince Regent in 1813
*electric guitar riff*
And then rocked up to Imladris a hundred ten days later like

Update: the repressed white lady on cbs Ghosts has just made me sob violently for a whole hour by revealing how she died. I am unwell. She was all alone. She was never alone, her entire life she was always surrounded by staff who begrudgingly respected her and a bunch of ancient ghosts who looked over her since she was a child and loved her. And when she was most scared and desperate she was alone. And then she became a ghost and just stayed alone. And Thor and Sass and Isaac just came home one day, finally free from the hole and traumatized and reeling from the loss of Prudence to find Hetty wandering the halls of her home alone. And she tells them she was celebrating, she tells them she had partied so hard she accidentally overdosed. Her closest friends, who love her more than she could ever know, and she can't tell them. So they congratulate her on a "fun" death and move on. I am dying somebody sedate me

the reason calling trump a fascist will never be a winning electoral strategy is because to most americans "fascism" is that thing from star wars

best piece of life advice when you want to change a bad habit: you cant remove something without replacing it. otherwise, you'll leave a hole that needs filled.
you want to distance yourself from that friend and interact less frequently? get closer with other friends, and talk with them more.
you want to drink less gatorade/soda? start drinking more water or tea.
you want to play less video games? play more card or board games.
you want to eat less junk food? cook more home meals or go to better restaurants where you can.
energy cant be created or destroyed, and that applies to your habits too.
