putting my dreams out into the universe.

1. start a commune with my friends, my boyfriend, and my sisters.

2. work somewhere in wildlife conservation. get a degree in wildlife rehabilitation

3. live to a point where living is nearly free. solar panels, growing our own food, and living comfortably

4. we all learn our own trade in the commune (plumbing, electrical, construction, textiles)

5. make all of my own food. I want to never have to go to a grocery store for produce again.

6. get one country to have all single use plastic banned.

I commonly thank the gods who created this earth, the solar system, and all the wonderful foods and things that nature brings.

but I feel the need to apologize to them. for what man is doing to their creations. the soil that we walk on has micro plastics in it. our food has plastics in it. and we're slowly destroying their creations out of convenience. why? so we can have the newest technology, and things that we don't need to survive but have been slowly becoming a necessity for us to be able to afford food, our homes, and so many other things?

why did we look at the forests that pan and phaunus have created and create the 9-5. why did we look at their forest and decide that our best move was to destroy it. that's not what they intended.

we did we look at Poseidons ocean and destroy the reefs, and kill fish not to survive, but to display. why did we look at Poseidons ocean and fill it with oil, and plastics, and harm his oceans?

the ozone layer is destroyed. animals are constantly going extinct. the animals that epimethius created. will we eat our money when there's no more of epimethius' animals? will we drink the oil that we have drilled when Poseidons rivers run dry? what will we eat when there is no more of Demeter's crops?

I feel so strongly for this planet, and for everything in it. for the very core that holds our planet together. for the mantle that makes our planet so big. and for the crust that we walk on.

I feel so upset that Apollo's days that he brings us will be filled with people working two-three jobs that they don't even enjoy. when the nights that hypnos brings us are filled with staying up late to finally get housework done, and not being able to enjoy the hours of rest that you barely get in our economy.

I deeply apologize to all the gods who helped create this earth for what man has done to it. for the people that are the main part in destroying your planet. for the men who are deciding to drill into the earth so we can drive our cars, have our phones, and so many other things.

I'm sorry Poseidon that we are destroying your oceans. I'm sorry Demeter for man destroying more land for crops, to create another corporate building. I'm sorry epimethius, that your animals are getting killed for simply existing.

I'm not exactly new with Hellenistic polytheism, do I NEED to have a candle for the gods? I can't have them (i have their altars on wooden shelves, and with cloth covering them) is it just an offering, or another form of divination?

i have plenty of ways of divination that I can use (dice, tarot cards, pendelum, bones) do I need the candle for divination even if I have all of those?

Yes, it’s okay if you accidentally set your phone down on your altar for 5 seconds. No, it does not mean you accidentally offered it.

You don’t need to give food offerings if you can’t/it stresses you out. You don’t need to give offerings every day if you can’t/it stresses you out.

It’s not expected of you to do more than you’re capable of. The gods care about you and want what’s best for you. If your practice is burning you out, you’re extending yourself past your bandwidth, or you’re doing things that cause you stress, take a step back and reevaluate why you’re doing it.

Your practice is meant to add to your life, and that means doing things the way they work for you.
