Sorry if this has been asked before but how do you achieve the pixelated/crunchy (?) Effect on your art?
youre fine this is actually the first ask ive gotten on my tumblr so im happy abt that! but yeah its pretty easy, just go into your art program of choice and lower the resolution to your liking (i personally like being around 600x600 pixels, sometimes a lil higher sometimes a lil lower). then get a pen tool and turn off the anti aliasing. for my case i use clip studio paint so I use the g-pen with anti aliasing off, and i use another version of it where it doesn't increase size with pressure and is just kind of a pixel brush. on CSP you can also turn on hard edges when you use the transform tool, which makes it so if you have to scale things up or down or rotate or whatever it keeps the same pixely visual. when exporting make sure to double the image in scale as well so it comes out nice and big and crispy, when you upload small images to websites and stuff it tends to be blurrier unless you scale it up. this is all absolutely possible in probably every other art program though its just different ways to do it, i used to use medibang paint for mobile and eventually pc and i was able to do it. oh yeah one last note if youre using clip studio paint make sure when exportingthe image you have the settings like this, csp automatically smoothens out drawings when you exporting which makes the pixely looking stuff look blurry unless you have it like this.
