What I like best about Clémence is that she should be a snotty asshole, but she always chooses to be kind -- even if that's not what she was raised or trained to do. She seems to want a genuine, loving relationship with Lucien, even though he shoves her away time and time again. Until his death, she forgives him and tries to help him.

She's taken aback by Jérôme's appearance, race, and status -- and admits that she judged him immediately -- but realizes that she was wrong to do that. Later on, she hides him and joins him in his mission to help Eyk, even at great personal risk.

She could be judgmental about Tove's pregnancy -- Tove is obviously very young and unmarried -- but she treats Tove with respect and admiration, wasting no time in comforting her when she's distraught.

Clémence shows concern for Virginia, too, even though they're not close. When Virginia seems ill, she checks multiple times if everything is all right.

Tove carries an unwanted pregnancy, a dead little sister and a loaded gun in the tv-show 1899, but Netflix has decided to cancel the show after just one season, so I’ll never know Toves fate. RIP and fuck netflix in particular.��

I haven’t slept properly for two nights in a row because of cancellation news, so maybe I’m not particularly coherent at the moment, BUT-

Netflix can suck it. I’m going to rewatch the show, I’m going to write fics and theories, create playlists, because “1899″ became something incredibly special to me, and if Netflix thinks they can just take that away from me and rip a piece of my heart out, well, guess what, human heart is strong and resilient, and out of grief comes rage and denial and finally acceptance, and when scars heal, love for this story will overcome the pain.

Let’s continue weaving this story together as a fandom. Fanfics, fanarts, edits, memes, comments, theories - all our love, despite the sadness. I still hope for a miracle, but if this is indeed the end, Bo and Jantje deserve to know that we still care ♥ 

And I don’t know about you, but I’m not ready to let “1899″ be erased and forgotten. If Netflix refuses to be a peaceful harbour for this show, our hearts will give it a home.
