Sheena and the bats do their best to remain a sort of protective barrier. While well aware it may not be the most effective flight the Pokemon here are generally strong. So its at the very least worth being on guard.

They go onwards into the tower. Sheena has her now freed from harnesses bats out. They may have a type disadvantage in the case of many surprise attacks but nonetheless it's good to have a line of defense.
