Sakura Strawberry Truffle Chocolate Review

I have extremely high hopes for this new treat. The description just pulled me in completely! Chocolate strawberry covered truffles sounds amazing. YUM!! Yes, please and thank you! This is the second "sakura" (the sakura mochi candies were first) flavored item that I've tried in my whole life and I still cannot tell you what sakura flavor is. *shrugs* I'm assuming it' cherry based on my last snack review.

Immediately after I open the bag, I got a strong smell of sweet milk chocolate. There were 6 round truffles the bag (should've been a bit more) coated in white chocolate. The inside of each chocolate truffle contained large pieces of dried strawberries.

The dried strawberries taste exactly like ones in Special K cereal. I'm so serious! The same color, texture and taste as the Special K Strawberries. These are just whole or large chunks! Checkout the photo of the inside:

They are sweet with a hint of a tart flavor from the strawberry. The texture of the strawberry is soft and easy to chew. It's not hard like some dried fruit. These are great if love dried fruit! I am still unsure where the sakura part comes in, but I enjoyed this treat nonetheless. Note: This came in my first haul from Sugoi Mart.

Morinaga DARS Premium White and Ruby Review

I am so excited to try this because I've read good reviews of Japanese snack brand Morinaga's DARS Premium chocolates. This treat is among the few ruby chocolate flavored items I've order for the first time in February. I've never heard of or tried ruby cocoa snacks, so this totally new to me. I order the White and Ruby chocolate flavor from Sugoi Mart's website. This is apart of my first haul from Sugoi Mart, which I will post soon. The packaging is very well thought out. The chocolates are neatly arranged on a small tray in a hot pink foil package. There's about 12 white chocolate squares in each box.

I was expecting these chocolates to be a bit thicker. They are thin, but not as thin as a piece of Hershey's chocolate bar. It's big enough to get a small amount of filling in the inside. White chocolate is coated on the outside with a delicious ruby chocolate filling which tasted a bit like strawberry.  The white chocolate is very good! It does not have that waxy taste like many white chocolates candies I've tried in the past. It's sweet, creamy and very delicious. The filling is excellent, and it hits your taste buds the more you chew. However, there was not enough ruby chocolate cream filling in this center. I only got a hint of the flavor in each bite. I hate to eat a few to get a really taste the filling.

With a little bit more in the center, this would be perfect. The taste is good for white chocolate. The flavor of these Premium DARS chocolates do live up to the hype despite being a little stingy with filling. I cannot wait to get my hands on the matcha flavor!!

Tirol Sakura Mochi Choco Review

Hooray! I finally get to try my first ever "sakura" flavored treat! These little choco candies come individually wrapped in a small plastic bag with photos of two sakura mochi pieces on the front.

Note: This comes from my first Sugoi Mart haul which I will post about later. Once again, I don't know what flavor "sakura" is suppose to be, but I'm excited to give it a chance. I think ordering unique snacks and treats from Japan is super fun!! Look at this adorable packaging!!!

Unwrapping the candy, I smell a very nice cherry and chocolate scent. Sweet!  Hmmm, soooo sakura is cherry flavor? These little square treats are coated with a cherry and azuki flavor cream and filled with chewy mochi. I thought it would cream!

Yes, mochi gummies is filled in every piece.  I really did expected the middle to be filled with cream,but this was a nice surprise. The strong cherry flavor reminds me of cherry cordials, but way better! To be honest, it taste just like cherry cordials! Yum! The azuki beans flavor is subtle in this candy. I taste more of the sakura/cherry and chocolate flavor. I don't care for the aftertaste much which I assume comes from the mochi filling. These were really nice. I didn't expect much, but I actually like these sakura mochi choco candies!
