With the performance of the last Leviathan track now behind me, it's amazing to look back over that journey of that work and retrace the trajectory leading up to it and through it. I no longer recognize the version of me before Leviathan. It's not that I have become something different. It's because I have shed things that I am not. Much of our modern world saddles us with expectations and ideologies that we are fooled into wearing or identifying as. The result is chronic cognitive dissonance – anxiety caused by the differences between told narratives and lived experience. And the truth is, we are so much larger and more amazing than these expectations and ideologies allow us to be. But my work is not done. Still so much to learn. New level unlocked and a wide open plain to run.
Onward to new things, new sounds, and fullness of light.
You are powerful. You are loved. You are vast. Hugs to you all.

LEVIATHAN I came out back in the Spring. Now it's time for LEVIATHAN II. Out everywhere November 10.
LEVIATHAN: A massive sea creature that appears in religious and mythological texts. The embodiment of chaos lurking in the deep, dark places that threatens to devour. Sorrow, grief and trauma are leviathans everyone must face. They well up from the depths when unfortunate things happen to us. The waters around us thrash and roil and threaten to consume us. For me, this music is about facing the Leviathan. Looking it in the eye. Letting it scream and wail. Then freeing it to swim away to larger waters. “Consider the subtleness of the sea; how its most dreaded creatures glide under water, treacherously hidden beneath the loveliest tints of azure.” – Herman Melville, Moby Dick

Performance of “Wildfires” from Leviathan I.
The album version was recorded over a year ago. And now here we are. Fires burning in places all around the world. Mother Nature is angry and we still won't listen. Meanwhile, our society is so distracted by culture/moral wars that we don't see the things that wealthy and powerful people are doing to destroy the ONE HOME we have in the universe. Nature will win and be fine without us when we're gone.
Leviathan I is out everywhere and Bandcamp.
