  “Perhaps that is for the better,” a voice responded. The owner of the voice was leaning on a wall within earshot of Satya, contemplating on where to go or what to do next in this vast, bizarre city. “In this place, you don’t know what your next encounter will bring you.”

          The whirring of her arm- its hushed ticking and clicks drawing her attention from him- was all that filled their silence for a moment, lips drawn into a thin line as she mused to herself what exactly she wanted to respond with. She’d become so acquainted with the comfort of others giving her calculated instructions, and without the company’s guidance, the architect found herself frozen upon every decision.

          “Well,” a defiant huff breezes through her lips as arms cross. “If I was trusted enough to be left without Vishkar, then I will continue on my task.”

                  He leans against the counter, watching the woman with steady eyes behind the visor. “I get it. This place isn’t your five star hotel, but it isn’t like you got a choice.” Someone who focused on such details never made sense to him. “Welcome to your new home.” Arms folded but he kept looking at her as if she looked familiar. Never had he met the woman, however her outfit resembled much like the technology he knew.

          Fingers reach to press at the barely visible buttons that nestled within her headset, and it’s with a sharp scowl that her hand drops from the device. No matter how many times she tries to contact those from home, the result remains the same- a lack of response coupled with popping static. Her eyes slowly turn to make contact with where she can assume his are, narrowing briefly.

          “Your false enthusiasm is unwelcome,” Satya mutters, straightening to feign calm. “Hm, I thought I’d seen the worst before Utopaea was recreated ; it appears this city by far outdoes its poor advancements.”
