I've been trying to think of something sentimental to say since this is a bit of a monumental milestone-- even if it is just the start of the campaign ^^,-- but the nerves, haha they're making it really hard to wax poetics right now.

So I'll just say this straight up! On behalf of the team, thank you for being here with us! The fanarts, the love notes in our inboxes, the theories (oh my god the theories ahsdlkasdh)-- everything that came out of your sincere support and passion for Keyframes thus far has uplifted us like no other! So even if the next 30 days is unbeknownst to us all, thank you for giving us the energy to start this campaign optimistically.

a fanfic about keyframes (Jamie Porter x Anelle Anslivynski OC)

The sun began to rise overhead. The sky was painted a muted pink, illuminating the light of the stars left from the night sky one final time before the moon would fall past the horizon. Lying comfortably on Anelle’s skirt was a flower crown weaved with grass, dandelions, and daisies as well as blinks of color from yellow, pink, and blue wild flowers. His fingertips gingerly caressed the fluff of the dandelions, careful not to break any of the floofy little seedlings off the plant. The morning dew on the grass wet her knees. Normally, they’d hate it but this time around they had a distraction. 

The slender, pale fingers running through Anelle’s deep brown curls calmed both her nerves and his thoughts, of course being around Anelle had the latter effect on anyone. 

“You’ve been tying my hair back for a while, *medved*…” Anelle mumbled, tilting his head back to look at Jamie. 

A nelle’s attempt at peaking up at the blonde was thwarted by Jamie gently pushing her head back down. “Your hair is knotted, Anelle,” he stated matter-of-factly. 

They both knew it was a lie. Anelle slept with their hair in a cap and brushed it on a daily basis. She was one of the least likely people to have knotty hair despite it looking messy. Jamie just wanted to keep playing with it. Not like he needed that excuse though. 

Anelle let out a content sigh. He loved moments like this. When the world faded into the background of Jamie and his little specks of time together. The world blinking by, yet they seem to remain perfectly still with one another.

Jamie's hands moved to carefully pull back the rest of Anelle's soft curls and coils. It was almost as if he hesitated before pulling Anelle's bangs back from her eyes. Like he was waiting for Anelle to signal for him to leave the bangs where they were first. Anelle squinted as her bangs were pulled back, the pink tinted light flooding in.

Jamie's fingers expertly finished tying up Anelle's hair into a high ponytail, fingertips hooking under the soft, grey scrunchie and then letting go to finish the loop. His hands fell to Anelle's shoulders. He leaned forward to plant a kiss on his lover's cheek.

Their face immediately flushed deep red. A small. nervous, and very much flustered squeak sounded from their mouth. It earned a melodious chuckle from Jamie's lips. "Cute. All the noises you make are adorable."

"Mmmmn... hush."

"Dirty minded, are we?"

For that comment, Jamie got a face full of dandelion fluff. Anelle shoved his flower crown onto Jamie's head, making sure to get a bit of the dandelion fluff on his face. He snuck a look at the blonde to see if he could catch a glimpse of a rare moment of imperfection from Jamie, but as always, he was breathtakingly stunning. Even with fluff all over his hair.

A small smile graced Jamie's lips alongside a somewhat stunned expression. They stared at each other in a comfortable silence before they both burst out giggling. Anelle buried her head in the crook of Jamie's neck, still giggling. Jamie's hand moved to rest on the small of Anelle's back.

Their laughter calmed down and settled into a calming silence. The chilling, morning breeze blew past them. Anelle moved their hands to rest on Jamie's shoulders, trying to move closer to him as the sun rose higher, warming the air around them. "We should probably head back..." Anelle mumbled.

She wasn't too happy about having to leave this moment of peace with Jamie, but there was nothing to do about it.

"Perhaps we should."

Jamie helped Anelle up off the dewy grass but didn't let him go just yet. "Jamie..?"

Anelle felt Jamie's soft lips against their own in a mere matter of seconds. They immediately melted into his hold. Of course, Jamie being Jamie, he pulled away all too quickly. Anelle whined annoyedly.

Jamie tsked teasingly in response. "You said we should head back, Anelle. We'll have more time together tonight, yes?"

She simply sighed but what else was there to do? "Yes, we will.
