i'll never find the words to pen a poem for you,
each attempt falls short, unable to capture your essence,
lost like whispers fading into an endless echo.
the depth of my love defies simple articulation,
beyond the reach of mere lines and verses,
no language can fully convey the breadth of my emotions.
i
i often envision a cozy home in the heart of nebraska,
yet the exact location remains a secret between us,
a silent pact, unspoken but understood.
i know you'd brave any storm on my behalf,
but the mere thought of witnessing your pain
stabs deeper than any physical wound.
your presence weaves through every verse i compose,
infusing my words with the essence of your being.
i pour my soul onto the blank pages,
yet find myself stumbling through memories and musings,
navigating a labyrinth of emotions in search of clarity.
but perfection in expression pales in comparison
to the memory of your smile, the music of your laughter,
resonating in the quiet spaces between my words.
in your authenticity, i find solace and strength,
for that, i'm eternally grateful.
forgive me, my love, for lacking the courage
to encapsulate our bond in poetic lines.
know that my love transcends the limits of language,
though my pen may falter, my heart sings your praises
in the silent rhythm of our shared journey.

Do you love me? I mean, do you truly love me? Or are you just waiting for chaos to unfold, for desperation to creep in, so you can extend a helping hand?
I never anticipated your sudden appearance from the shadows. I never expected grand gestures or elaborate displays from you. I linger by the door, a fool yearning for your return, much like a child waiting for their mother to return from work.
And when you do arrive—oh, when you arrive—it's the most bittersweet, déjà vu-laden experience I can fathom. You don't step into my abode to admire my accomplishments. The photos adorning the walls, or the medals on proud display—no!
You come in, and you make yourself at home.
Even though you know I haven't sorted all your boxes into your room, that you haven't fully moved in to revel in this newfound freedom. You just do it. You enter as if you're a drunken father returning home at 4 AM. I listen to your wild tales, and who am I to question them? And even if I did, what reason would I have?
I retreat to my small, senseless room and listen to your boisterousness, as you invite your friends into my sanctuary, and me, oh silly me, I remain silent. I wouldn't dare challenge your methods.
Do you care enough to believe that what I, and only I, feel is real? Or do you turn around and think I'm deranged, that what courses through me is nothing but paranoia?
No.
I've heard it countless times—I haven't lost my sanity, nor have I fabricated paranoia. I'm simply experiencing what's rightfully mine: my emotions. And the next time you return from those places where you've found someone to love, and you wait for your bed to be prepared, do it yourself.
This house was once our home, yet it suddenly transforms into mine when you step inside. But as you take just two steps beyond the welcome mat, it's yours—your sanctuary—not the place you visit to see me, to check if I'm okay.
This house is merely a brief stopover.
I possess nothing; nothing here truly belongs to me or catches your eye. These are just spaces that gleam just enough for you to consider, to contemplate whether you should hang your troubles on these walls.
Have you painted them the shade you desire? Can you perceive me as someone who shares a life with you? Or am I simply a tenant, hearing you vent about sink problems, While I contemplated revealing the massive leak in my bathroom?

This is just a draft, an outburst if you dare say it, if you want to read it, of course. I had a writer's block recently. So... there you go! (PSA.: sorry for not formatting the text I just didn't want to leave you guys without something to read ♡ )
In the realm of words, there's an emptiness, a hollowness that speaks volumes. All I wish for is one thing – an apology. For those years when I wove beliefs into threads, tending to emotions in a friendship that never truly existed. You faded right before my eyes, making me believe it was my undoing. The punishment feels like a heavy load, the weight of past actions bearing down. It's funny how Taylor nailed it – turning 21 is meant to be electrifying. But here I am, harboring a growing distaste for the letter G, my self-assuredness shrinking with every stride towards forging connections. It's like everything is destined to end up like us.
I resent you for the scars that linger. Yet, words elude me, courage faltering, the knot in my stomach tightening at the thought of confronting you. I'm scarred, and your retribution? It's an eternity spent with your own reflection.
I'd never enact what you did, never don that icy indifference. My fabric is different, woven with compassion and care. I navigate friendships with eyes wide open now, the aftermath of your words lingering like a storm that nearly rewired my thoughts.
But let's get something straight – I'm not recreating your script. I won't be that person, not after witnessing the pain you dished out. Lessons learned, I approach interactions draped in empathy and understanding, not the dismissive chill you carried. Your maze of words altered me, but not to mimic your indifference.
