PSLV-C46/RISAT-2B Lift off and Onboard Camera View | ISRO
PSLV-C46 which is the 48th mission of PSLV, will launch RISAT-2B, a Radar imaging earth observation satellite, from the First Launch Pad (FLP) of Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota. The launch is scheduled at 0530 hrs IST on May 22, 2019.
PSLV-C46 is the 14th flight of PSLV in 'core-alone' configuration (without the use of solid strap-on motors). This will be the 72nd launch vehicle mission from SDSC SHAR, Sriharikota and 36th launch from the First Launch pad.
RISAT-2B will be placed into an orbit of 555 km at an inclination of 37 degree.
As done in PSLV-C45 launch, ISRO has also made provision for public to view the launch from recently opened Viewer’s gallery at Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR, Sriharikota.

🔴WATCH LIVE: MOON LANDING! SPACEIL Beresheet-Israel @3:05pm EST🔴
An Israeli-built spacecraft financed through donations from billionaire philanthropists is set to make history Thursday when it tries to become the first privately-funded probe to land on the moon.
If successful, the landing will make Israel the fourth nation to land a spacecraft on the lunar surface, and the first non-superpower to achieve the feat after Russia, the United States and China.
But mission managers caution the landing is risky. The mission’s $100 million budget, relatively modest for a lunar probe, forced engineers to design a spacecraft with few backup systems, meaning a single failure in a critical component could doom the landing.
“It’s extremely exciting, and quite risky,” said Opher Doron, general manager of the space division at spacecraft-builder Israel Aerospace Industries, in an interview with Spaceflight Now before the mission’s launch in February. “There’s no guarantee of success. There never is in space, but there’s even less so in this case. But we’ve done a lot of testing, a lot of engineering, and now we’ll be doing a lot of praying.
“What we are trying to do here is take $100 million and put a few kilograms on the moon, but we are doing it at a certain level of reliability, which we currently don’t know,” said Yigal Harel, head of SpaceIL’s spacecraft development team. “For sure, it’s not 100 percent. This mission is very, very ambitious.”
Beresheet has already made history, when it became the first privately-funded spacecraft to orbit the moon last week.
The descent is set to begin around 1905 GMT (3:05 p.m. EDT) Thursday with a braking burn with the spacecraft’s main engine to drop out of lunar orbit and target a landing in the Mare Serenitatis, or Sea of Serenity, region on the upper right part of the moon as viewed from Earth.
Landing is expected around 20 minutes later, at 1925 GMT (3:25 p.m. EDT), according to SpaceIL, the non-profit organization that developed the Beresheet mission.
Beresheet, which means “genesis” or “in the beginning” in Hebrew, launched Feb. 21 from Cape Canaveral, riding as a piggyback payload on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket with an Indonesian communications satellite.

In the Shadow of a Black Hole - First images of the Black Hole
The Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) — a planet-scale array of eight ground-based radio telescopes forged through international collaboration — was designed to capture images of a black hole. In coordinated press conferences across the globe, EHT researchers revealed that they succeeded, unveiling the first direct visual evidence of a supermassive black hole and its shadow.
This 17-minute film explores the efforts that led to this historic image, from the science of Einstein and Schwarzschild to the struggles and successes of the EHT collaboration.

Breakthrough Discover the first ever image of a black hole [EXPLANATION]
EU-funded scientists have contributed to a major astronomical discovery: the capturing of the first ever image of a black hole. The discovery is the result of an international science collaboration called Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) that linked several observatories across the globe and some 200 researchers in Europe, the US and East Asia. A grant from the European Research Council allowed three European scientists to play a key role in this discovery: Professors Heino Falcke, Professor of Astroparticle Physics and Radio Astronomy at the Radboud University Nijmegen, Luciano Rezzolla, Director at the Institute for Theoretical Physics (ITP) of the Goethe University of Frankfurt, Michael Kramer, Director at the Max-Planck-Institut für Radioastronomie (MPIfR) in Bonn.

🔴WATCH LIVE: NASA LIVE | Expedition 59 Spacewalk | Anne McClain and David Saint-Jacques 🔴
Expedition59 Flight Engineers Anne McClain of NASA and David Saint-Jacques of the Canadian Space Agency are scheduled to conduct another spacewalk Monday, April 8, to establish a redundant path of power to the Canadian-built robotic arm, known as Canadarm2, and install cables to provide for more expansive wireless communications coverage outside the orbital complex, as well as for enhanced hardwired computer network capability.
Watch the spacewalk on NASA TV and on the agency’s website. Live coverage of the spacewalk will begin at 6:30 a.m., and is expected to last about 6.5 hours. The spacewalk is set to start at 8:05 a.m.
This will be the 216th spacewalk in support of space station assembly and maintenance. McClain will be designated extravehicular crew member 1 (EV 1), wearing the suit with red stripes. Saint-Jacques will be designated extravehicular crew member 2 (EV 2), wearing the suit with no stripes.
This is the third spacewalk in under a month on the space station. The first two spacewalks installed powerful lithium-ion batteries for one pair of the station’s solar arrays. On March 22, the first spacewalk in the series was completed by McClain and fellow NASA astronaut Nick Hague. On March 29, the second spacewalk was completed by Hague and NASA astronaut Christina Koch.
The spacewalking work continues the overall upgrade of the station’s power system that began with similar battery replacement during spacewalks in January 2017.
Learn more about station activities by following @space_station and @ISS_Research on Twitter as well as the ISS Facebook and ISS Instagram accounts.
