if I had a nickle for every time an animated series based on a legacy IP had a main character's mother killed by one of the deuteragonists and the grief of that lose caused her to become a mirror of her mother's killer while simultaneously being thrown into a position of power only possible by the gap her mother left that allowed her to decent further in a pursuit of revenge then I would have two nickles, which isn't a lot but frankly insane its happened twice!!
